They’re consistently going on outings, exploring different ways of working and attentive for her in a loving way. Dicky Birds are remarkable, my little one has been going there since she was 11-months-old and is now 2.

They have an outdoor garden and also take babies on little trips. I am consistently kept informed via an app about my daughters daily activities. A lovely childcare centre with excellent facilities and attentive team.

We are so pleased our son is so cheerful and enjoys going there. We are truly cheerful with how much our son has developed under the expert care of all the team at Pelham Road Dicky Birds Day Childcare centre.
All the team are so welcoming and highly skilled, giving us daily feedback on how he is getting on.
The range of activities our son gets is remarkable.

November 7, 2024 at 9:20 amMy daughter has a genetic condition that effects her development and causes her to have seizures. Prior to starting Dicky Birds, she spent her time with myself and a childminder as we didn’t sense that she was ready to enter a childcare centre setting, how wrong we were! From our initial visit, we knew that she would be just fine and have been proven right every day since. The team are inviting and welcoming and have gone out of their way to ensure that my daughter is not only secure but included as well. In her short time with Dicky Birds we’ve seen her development and self‑assurance thrive and we know that is in big part to the care and work put in by her keyworker and the setting. As a first-time mum of an SEN kid, Dicky Birds has been everything that I needed and more! We joined the Dicky Birds family in October 2022 and are so pleased that we did!

The app showing the meals, nappy changes etc. is excellent and the team are so great at getting in touch to inform me of even the smallest things. Would suggest to mum friends. Such a lovely childcare centre.

They have been able to answer all our questions perfectly. Our daughter has just started here, the childcare centre have been incredibly accommodating.

The team are compassionate and attentive. My daughter has made some highly great friends with some of the other kids. My daughter has settled in so well at Dicky Birds.

January 27, 2025 at 11:41 pmThey have truly great relationships with the kids. The range of activities can be limited and repetitive. It would be truly great for the kids to go on more outings and to a wider variety of places. The team are lovely and work highly hard.

February 15, 2025 at 7:48 amThe team are so hands-on with the kids and we know he is well looked after, is offered a diverse range of food and has a varied day including games, reading, art and outside adventures. The team genuinely care about the kids and this is the most important thing for me. Our son is secure, cared for and engaged in activities. Our son loves going to childcare centre and we are exceptionally cheerful with the standard of care but the recent upgrades to the building, rooms and provisions have added to this.

April 8, 2025 at 5:50 pmSome of the reasons: a lack of being transparent on diseases going on, sometimes I heard from other parents that there is a bug outbreak before this was communicated by management.
Invoicing was a complete mess, we got several incorrect invoices with higher amounts.
The logging of activities was fake! A few times I would see What my son “ate” at the time he was not at the childcare centre, totally lost trust in reports.
Lack of care, my son was handed over a few times with a big poo.
There was a price increase two times within a few months which is highly annoying. When we cancelled the contract I was told that we still have to pay a higher amount as the childcare centre needs 4 weeks’ notice to inform of the price changes and parents need 8 weeks’ notice to break the contract. So you are forced to pay whatever increase and the childcare centre is legally covered. Highly bad journey with the management.
Three of the team were lovely, but because of poor management, we decided to cancel our contract.

My husband and I are truly cheerful with how cheerful and settled our girls are here. Keep up the excellent work! Both my daughters adore the childcare centre – the team are inviting, welcoming and highly engaged with the kids.
