No complaints so far. My son has been in nursery for the last 10 months. He enjoys coming to nursery where he is provided with lots of stimulating activities and safe environment. Communication with nursery is easy via email and phone calls when needed. Management obviously invest in upkeep of the property and equipment. They have their own chef and the food seems excellent.

As a mother, I always believe you must go with your gut instincts and that’s exactly what I did. This nursery is heaven sent a blessing. My daughter started a few months ago and is thriving and has settled so well. The staff are all amazing especially my daughter’s key person. Having qualified teachers in the pre-school is a bonus and a rarity in most nurseries.

There is also an amazing outdoor space which my daughter loves……………the mud kitchen is such an adventure for her and she tells me about all the mud pies she bakes. 🙂

Good facilities but sadly dreadful management. There are some great staff at Pitta Patta but the retention rate is the worst of any organization I have known. On average I’d say a manager stays for less than 5 months, we have heard unpleasant rumors from previous staff members as to why this is. The owner of the nursery has displayed shocking levels of incompetency, most recently with a situation around my daughter’s last day where despite dates being shared in writing with both of us and we were informed with a day’s notice that the owner had brought this date forward without telling anyone! We have witnessed endless admin issues, last 3 months we have been incorrectly billed and sent other parents’ financial statements (along with their personal information). The most frustrating issue is with their ‘top up’ fees associated with free child care hours (£260 a month). Having contacted the council, they’ve informed us that these fees are against their rules and action will be taken.

Some very friendly practitioners here who care and look after the children very well. I never felt like my children were unsafe/uncared for and the garden facility was great. But it was very clear staff wasn’t happy with the running of the nursery, hence the high turnover. My daughters had to re-adapt to so many different key workers, it was extremely disruptive for them. Every time they made a bond with someone they’d be off again.
The communications were also poor; badly written emails, conflicting information, and endless unnecessary emails. Also the ‘feedback app’ was broken for several months, so we had no proper handover, just the same speech about “your child had a good day”. We were told feedback would be written down in books, but this didn’t materialise.
The accounting was also very poor, I was always being overcharged or confused with other parents! Overall it just felt very unorganised and like management had no idea what was going on.

My child has been at Pitta Patta for over a year and has had a fantastic experience. I was initially attracted to the large garden which the children have constant access to. This has been a real bonus compared to other nurseries we visited. Beyond the setting, it is the staff that I have been most impressed with. There is a core team of dedicated, fun and loving carers who truly seem to love why they do. They are always welcoming and strive to find new exciting things for the children to engage with and learn.
No nursery is perfect but overall we’re very happy with the care and service Pitta Patta provide.

I love this nursery; I have since our tour in April 2022. My son started in September ‘22 at two years old and was settled in so considerately into their toddler room (3 rooms for the whole nursery and separate, large outdoor spaces for each age group). They’re slightly more expensive than community nurseries but they’re open all year (yay) and their rooms, staff, equipment, and extracurricular activities reflect this. We now get the funded hours for 3 year olds, so top up each month for the hours and meals which are not covered by the Lewisham.
They use a nanny cam, initially I wasn’t keen on the idea of one, but it’s actually a really effective way of checking in (which I do occasionally if my son has had a bad morning or night) without having to call or email in. We get verbal updates (food eaten, activities) at the end of each day and a few minutes with their key staff if we have any questions too which is helpful (even for planning dinner).
