The Park Nursery

Our son attended the nursery from 11 months old until aged 4 years, progressing from the baby room through to the pre-school room in that time. My wife and I were very pleased with the nursery, from the early settling experiences through to his development into a confident young boy about to head off to school. We particularly liked the care and attentiveness of the staff, with our son having formed close bonds with all the workers and management in his time at Park Nursery. We also loved the community aspect including friendships with other parents, the desirable location and the wonderful outdoor space. It is only due to our personal circumstances that we have recently left Park Nursery, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the Hither Green or surrounding areas.

We feel so fortunate to have found The Park Nursery for our youngest child (who is currently 1 1/2 yrs old) – we know lots of families who’ve had children there and always speak highly of their experience. Their provision is really brilliant, space indoors and out is fantastic, and they have great activities for the children. The staff are exceptional, warm, thoughtful and thorough in their care. The food offer is really broad, healthy and provides opportunities to try new flavours – my child has an allergy which has been dealt with really well. In addition to all of this, each week we receive information about what they’ve been doing with the children and how we can extend that at home, and they offer brilliant free workshops for parents. Our daughter is still little but always really happy to go to nursery, and if we show her a picture of the baby room, she is visibly excited, which is lovely to see.

My son has just had his last day at the Park as he is starting school this year. He has spent nearly 4 years there and I could not have asked for a better start for him. All the staff have been so supportive and caring right through his time there, paying such close attention to him as an individual and really helping to build his confidence. His time in the pre-school room has helped prepare him so well for this big transition to school and I know what a strong bond he made with his key worker in this room. I can highly recommend this nursery. My son and I will miss all the staff very much.

My child has attended The Park Nursery from 11 months old to 4 years old and has just left for school. Our experience of The Park has been exceptional. From the warm welcome into the baby room to the incredible handling of a very tricky final year during the pandemic, it has been a wonderful journey and we were all very sorry to say goodbye. The team are friendly, kind and patient. The facilities are great – we love the real grass garden and mud kitchen. We received regular feedback and reports on our child’s activities and a very helpful weekly newsletter. Thank you so much Park Nursery! You are a fantastic team and we fully appreciate your hard work and the support you give to your families.

Our two children couldn’t be happier at The Park Nursery. Every room is fantastic. The staff are caring, kind, fun and supportive. I’m always really impressed by the emphasis they place on learning at such a young age. They make it fun but give them a really varied and age-appropriate range of activities to aid development. The food is also brilliant. They encourage a varied diet which is healthy and tasty. Sharon and Kelly are lovely. Really approachable and accommodating.

Our daughter has attended Park Nursery since she was 10 months old, full-time, as soon as I went back to work. She’s now in the preschool room about to head off to primary in September. I have always felt 100% comfortable leaving her in their capable and loving hands. Every member of staff we have had contact with (which is pretty much all of them in the three-plus years we’ve been a part of the gang) has been friendly, cheerful, knows our daughter’s name, and gives out as many cuddles as she wants (a lot)! I recommend Park to every parent that asks. I could not be happier with the support, care, and education they have provided her during her time there, and we will be genuinely sad to move on in September. If you’re lucky enough to get a spot in Park, I cannot say strongly enough that you should take it!

Our daughter absolutely loves her time at the Park Nursery. She is always smiling on her way there and has settled very quickly with the other children and her key workers. As parents, we can go to work without any worries, and we know that our daughter is having a great time. Having a regular routine with fixed meal times and nap times has really helped our daughter to get a much better rhythm and better sleep at night. The staff are lovely, very caring and professional. They take time to tell parents what the babies have been up to during the day, which is very much appreciated. We would absolutely recommend the Park Nursery to any parents!

Our daughter has been with the nursery since she was 11 months and she really loves it. She gets so much support and stimulation from eating to playing to development. The high standards of care and communication we get is so supportive when your child is in someone else’s care from a young age. We have signed up our second child to attend when she is old enough.

My two children attended Park Nursery until they went to school (my son starts school this year so he is nearly finished at nursery) and have loved it! The nursery is wonderful and I highly recommend it. The staff are fantastic, so loving and caring. The outdoor space is excellent, the best I know of the nurseries in the area. There is a good variety of food and ever changing activities including bringing in external providers to deliver activities too. There is a newsletter every week and the management are really approachable – I’ve never had any issues with the nursery in six years. The nursery also runs the workplace nursery scheme which is a tax-saving benefit run through employers and the nursery and it’s really easy to administer and saves you, the paying parents, a lot of money and the nursery gets extra funding too. I have no hesitation at all in recommending this nursery – it’s wonderful.

My son has attended The Park Nursery since October 2018 and my daughter started in early 2021. I have been so impressed and grateful by the level of care, attention and nurture provided by the staff throughout both my children’s time at the nursery. They are so happy there and obviously have formed attachments to the staff, who make them feel completely at ease and help support their learning in a nurturing and fun environment. The nursery workers are always upbeat and helpful and it is obvious that they work well together and really enjoy working with the children; they listen to them, are empathic, help develop their skills and seem to have a great time doing so. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff seem very stable compared with reports I’ve heard from other mums, so this has also been beneficial to the children. The garden is also a wonderful space, with actual trees and dirt – sadly becoming a bit of a rarity in nurseries these days. I highly recommend The Park Nursery.
