Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool Surbiton, Claremont Road

They consistently keep me well informed of how my son is doing, how he is eating, sleeping and playing throughout the day. I sense that I can approach not only his key worker but any of the childcare centre team about my son, and they are consistently so cheerful to talk to me about him. If ever my son is upset, they consistently give him a cuddle and reassurance, giving me reassurance as well. I adore getting the photo updates of him, as well as seeing the special events that have been laid on in recent months, such as the visit from Santa and the exciting farm visit! I have complete trust in the Claremont Road Dicky Birds team and would highly suggest! My son has been at Dicky Birds since October 2022, and the whole Dicky Birds team have been so welcoming and supportive to us starting our childcare centre journey.

They provide lots of enrichment activities and celebrate special events wonderfully with the kids; they also take feedback seriously and are open to suggestions.
I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest them or send another kid in the future. This childcare centre is absolutely lovely, and the preschool room team and management team are all excellent people who genuinely care for the kid’s well-being.

There is also a nice variety of activities for the kids, including regular outings and take-home crafts like baking and artwork. I was impressed that they include farm visits and occasional educational show-and-tell presenters. They provide a great standard of care and welcoming team.

Our daughter loves all the activities, and we are enjoying watching her develop! Our daughter has settled in very well at Dicky Birds in Claremont Road – we are extremely cheerful with all the team and the feedback we are given.

My three-star rating for value for money is no reflection at all on the childcare centre or the outstanding team who deserve everything they’re paid and more, but the cost of UK childcare is insane. Both my girls have loved their time at Dicky Birds Day Childcare centre, and we have felt cheerful and confident in the care and attention they have received right the way through.

We were pretty concerned about putting our daughter into childcare centre after a rough journey with a childminder but from the second she arrived (a year ago now!) we needn’t have worried. The key thing for me is the team, from those in the youngest room to those in swans room where our daughter is now (and everyone in between) the care is unparalleled. Our daughter wakes up and is consistently eager to go in, and consistently has excellent stories to tell about her day. Highlights over the last few weeks have been an actual farm visiting the childcare centre and some resident chicks being born. If you’re thinking about where to send your kid, seriously consider this childcare centre, it’ll be the best decision you make. I simply cannot commend Dicky Birds enough.

We both work full-time, and it’s so excellent to know that our kid is cared for and exposed to new and exciting opportunities every day. The kids learn really quickly and consistently seem cheerful, forming positive relationships with the team and their peers. The team get to know the kids really well and provide an exceptional level of care.

We had just emigrated to the UK from South Africa and were very nervous about leaving our kid in anyone’s care other than our own. Needless to say the team at Dicky Birds very swiftly quelled all our concerns. They are all so competent, compassionate and supportive. Our little girl goes from strength to strength in developing her self‑assurance, social skills etc and has adapted so well. Dicky Birds is a secure haven for us and we leave our kid in their care with complete peace and self‑assurance five days a week. Needless to say our secondborn will be joining the Dicky Birds family later this year too! A massive thank you to the Dicky Birds team for all their hard work; for the adore and care they show our chicks and for being such super people in general. Our little girl has been at Dicky Birds, Claremont Road, Surbiton since she was just under 2 years old.
