June 24, 2019 at 12:00 amOur son has attended nursery and reception since January 2018 and we are extremely happy with the school, the staff, the overall quality of the teaching and most importantly, the progress our son has made since. We are also very happy with the school direction under the Headteacher.
Strongly recommended!

November 12, 2021 at 12:00 amMy girl has blossomed at Park Hill. The teachers are caring and very attentive, we could not be happier. The staff as well is always very positive, there is always a welcoming smile when they open the door and you feel you are leaving your child in good hands, which is very important for parents!

November 17, 2021 at 12:00 amMy children have flourished at Park Hill. The best decision I have made for their future. A small school with small classes which means extra attention. There’s a real community amongst the parents and the school.

November 25, 2021 at 12:00 amPark Hill has provided an attentive and nurturing environment for our three children. Both First and Second Steps staff are highly qualified and keep parents informed of the progress of children and work collaboratively to ensure that children achieve their best.

November 25, 2021 at 12:00 amPark Hill is a wonderful nursery. Our son, who started there when just turned two, has absolutely flourished. Now in his pre-school year, and thanks to the brilliant teachers and staff, he is confident, happy and making brilliant progress in all aspects of learning (from maths to woodland school and everything in between). The whole school ethos gives even the littlest children a real sense of belonging and great role models to look up to. I would recommend the nursery to anyone looking to give their child a great foundation to take into their school years and beyond.

November 25, 2021 at 12:00 amOur son is now in his second year at Park Hill School & Nursery and we’re really happy there. It’s a wonderful environment where the teachers are attentive and proactive, as well as incredibly creative with their daily activities.
When we did the initial visit, the Headmaster took us round for a tour and we were able to visit each class. When we got to Year 6 (age 10-11), the Headmaster asked what the children were up to; one little girl said that they had been reading the Shakespeare play Richard III, another rose to say that they’d all written their own version of the play, and then a final child got up to say that one of those plays had been chosen and they were going to make it on green screen.
I was struck not just by the confidence and the engagement of the children, but also the opportunities they were being given – I’d have loved that when I was little – with that and the classroom technology focus, it’s an easy decision to keep our son here right the way through.

December 14, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son moved from a day nursery to Park Hill School & Nursery for Second Steps and settled in immediately. The staff are welcoming and enthusiastic and, even with the many Covid restrictions, good at involving you in your child’s progress. It was a great foundation for his move to reception this year. The nursery classes are very much included with the rest of the school and are involved in things like school productions which is great for them (and very sweet). I would definitely recommend Park Hill.

January 5, 2022 at 12:00 amParkhill Nursery is run by a fabulous team of specialist nursery teachers and teaching assistants. Both of my children have been enrolled at the nursery and we as parents can’t speak more highly of the level of care and nurturing that they received there. As parents, you often wonder if your child will be happy once you have dropped them off or whether they are struggling, but you can rest assured that the team go out of their way to ensure that they are entertained throughout the day and will support parents to overcome any initial teething issues when they first start. The Manager and her team played a vital role in helping get my daughter settled in so quickly, especially with her having had little to no time away from my wife and I, due to the Covid pandemic. They have left a delightful, lasting impression on her, to the point that her eyes light up when we mention her teacher’s names or that she will be going to school that morning. We can’t thank them enough!

February 17, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child has recently started at the nursery and has been made to feel very welcome. As a result of the care, he has settled in quickly and particularly loves the outdoor facilities. Within a few short weeks, we have noticed his vocabulary expanding and his curiosity for learning has increased. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery and wish we had found it sooner!

September 16, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been going to Park Hill Nursery from first steps (2 years old) to second steps and has now left ready for reception. It’s been a great nursery. The teachers and staff were always very friendly and welcoming. My daughter was always happy to go to nursery and done many fun things there. I would definitely use the nursery again. Thank you all at Park Hill School for making my daughter and my experience a lovely one!

September 22, 2022 at 12:00 amPark Hill has provided a nurturing and wholesome environment for our son to develop in nursery. Having kept him at home during the pandemic until he was two, he had some catching up to do. A year later his growth has been amazing to watch. He has grown in confidence and is fond of all the staff. Impressively the nursery is constantly evaluating areas for development and regularly communicate any feedback on what they are doing and what we can do to reinforce things. Could not recommend it more highly.

September 28, 2022 at 12:00 amOur daughter has been attending Park Hill nursery since she was two years old. Teachers are excellent, they give private attention to each child and help with their specific developments and needs. Nursery benefits from schools’ outdoor and indoor spaces and children often play in the outdoor areas and get fresh air all the time even during winter months. Our daughter developed herself a lot since she started Park Hill, she is now in Second Steps in the nursery and she literally loves going to Park Hill. As full-time working parents, we feel very lucky to know that our daughter is in good hands during the day. The only thing that the nursery can improve is the daily communication with the parents, we wish we would learn more about their daily activities and meals. But apart from that, we are very happy with the nursery and wish our daughter to continue to the preparatory school.

November 30, 2022 at 12:00 amMy boy joined Park Hill Nursery when he was two. He was very shy at the beginning and was not social at all. The teachers were very patient and caring to help him settle in. After six months, he is quite confident, talkative and outgoing. He enjoys various activities at nursery and has developed a lot in his language/communication. He is also very social now and interacts with peers/teachers actively. We can feel he is very happy in this nursery.

December 30, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter started her settling in sessions in July 2022 and then in August three days a week. Within one month we increased her days to four days. Her development over this period has been evidenced with a confident young child who is still on two and half years old. Her speech, physical movements and ability to converse and care for others is on show daily. The school has the right number of staff/children ratio, the nursery is cleaned daily and evident. Respect is taught right from the start of the day when teachers including the headmaster come rain or sunshine/snow stand outside to welcome every child with a handshake. Preparation for the working world at such an early age is evident and paramount. My daughter has quickly picked up confidently positive movements from her teachers and I cannot be more delighted with her progress.

April 4, 2023 at 12:00 amOur son joined Park Hill School & Nursery (second steps) this school year after a move from overseas. Initially, we thought he would struggle with adaptation to a new environment but he’s been quite happy to go there every day from the very beginning. He is full of joy whenever we pick him up and surely likes spending time there. Thanks to the teachers and staff for taking care of our little ones.

May 24, 2023 at 12:00 amPark Hill School and Nursery is a warm, nurturing and caring place to be. My child has never not wanted to go. He has made some lovely friends and talks about his experiences with animation and excitement. The staffing team take extra care to develop each child with a focus on individual needs. They build close relationships with the children due to it being relatively small. The learning and extracurricular activity is delivered to a very good level. It’s home from home and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others!

June 6, 2023 at 12:00 amOur son started in First Steps this January and we were concerned he would struggle to settle as he had never been to nursery before and he is quite a shy boy. The nursery offered settle in sessions where I got to see the teachers in action. They are all very caring and very attentive to my son when he was upset and crying. They would hold him and sing songs with him, and trying all ways to distract and comfort him. After a few months my son settled very well and is now happy to go to nursery every day. He has gradually become more independent and social. This is all thanks to the staff taking good care of him.

July 27, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter has experienced a significant transition (moving and changing nursery at the same time) during the time she joined Park Hill. Her settling sessions have soon become a heartbreaking scene for me. However all the teachers in her class were very supportive, they have tried different approaches and ways to help my daughter during this difficult time, slowly to rebuild her confidence, and now she becomes herself again, happy and confident!
