Sunrise Day Nursery

We’d heard excellent things about Sunrise from friends and acquaintances, and everything we were told was true. Our son started at about 9months, settled in in great time, and has thrived there since. This is an exceptionally well-run operation, staffed by truly lovely people who seem to have huge affection for the kids in their charge. I don’t want a third kid, but if we had one I wouldn’t hesitate to send them here. Excellent place, lovely people – couldn’t be happier with the care, attention, and education they give our son.

The team are exceptional, highly attentive to the kid’s individual needs. They help kids to develop their self‑assurance and independence through a wide range of activities. My son is bilingual and he has been supported while he was discovering English. As he is in pre-school age now, he is discovering numbers and lettering as well as counting in a second language. We also get an update at the end of each day with all activities done and food eaten. The hours are long but also flexible, ideal for working parents. Finally, they managed communications during the pandemic in an outstanding way. It is clear that they truly care about the kids. I would definitely suggest Sunrise. Best childcare centre in the area. My son started at Sunrise in January last year (2020) and he loves going.

From the moment I contacted them to discuss their setting and our initial visit (pre-Covid!) and throughout the time my son has been there, I have been so pleased by the loveliness of the team. My son has been there 16 months (from just before he turned 3) and the opportunity to socialise and learn has been remarkable. He runs into the building in the morning and he has formed such a bond with his key worker whom he loves (which the team picks based on the connection between the kid and different team members) but he also speaks so positively about all of the adults. I adore that he is enjoying himself but I have been so impressed how they have fostered his discovering and specifically with writing and reading in a way that means it is enjoyable for him and when he is at home he wants to show us what he has done and continue practicing. I have trusted the team to keep him secure during these uncertain times and we are so thankful for them and their care! I would suggest Sunrise to everyone!

We absolutely adore Sunrise and all the hard-working, attentive and fantastic team who work there. From day one they have supported us as nervous parents leaving our first kid in their care, they have nurtured her and she has developed so much in her time at Sunrise. All of the team are super welcoming, compassionate, responsive and so so attentive. She does so much in a day, we especially adore the outdoor playtime and the fresh air she gets. I can not suggest Sunrise more highly, we are so pleased we found this place for our little girl. We could not be happier with our daughters childcare centre.

Our first left and started school in September where they commented on what a excellent character he had and how confident he was. He loved going to Sunrise and consistently wants to come along and say hi to everyone when we’re picking up our second son, who started in the baby room in November. He also absolutely loves it and has a huge smile on his face every day. We were so cheerful to be able to secure a place for him at the childcare centre, especially after seeing how remarkable the team were with our first son’s development!

Team know my son so well, he wants to stay at the end of the day. Food – freshly cooked vegetarian meals cooked daily on-site. A inviting and attentive childcare centre, the classes are small which gives it a family sense.

They’re clearly passionate about what they do and the management runs a highly well run childcare centre. Moreover, our kids adore it and are developing into fine little people whilst being there. The team are highly attentive, inviting and welcoming.

We were so nervous about sending him but Christine and the team were remarkable from day one and it became clear highly quickly how much our boy loved being there. He consistently goes running in with a smile on his face and loves the fantastic team of ladies that look after him in the pre Toddler room. The activities he does each week have had a clear impact on his development and self‑assurance and we couldn’t suggest Sunrise more! Our son has been attending Sunrise since August last year and absolutely loves it.

Their attentiveness and attitude have given us complete self‑assurance throughout the process. They take on board all your feedback and work with you and your kid. Developmentally we have seen our daughter come on in leaps and bounds. They do a huge variety of activities, spend a lot of time outside and we get fantastic artworks and pick up a smiling daughter at the end of each day. The team consistently have time for an update. The manager knows everyone by name and consistently has time for a chat. The weekly updates we receive give tips as to how we can build on the weeks discovering alongside comical updates on what our babies have been up to. Our whole time at childcare centre has been during COVID and the team have been secure and considerate. Information is passed quickly and efficiently. We are thankful they are looking after our daughter. Our daughter has settled in well to Sunrise and built a strong bond with her key worker and the rest of the team.

It was the perfect setting for our daughters to transition from childminder to childcare centre. We absolutely adore the fact that this is a forest school childcare centre and that the girls get to spend a lot of time outside (they also have a large and lovely garden). The team are highly lovely and attentive. The manager and her assistant are incredible! The food is freshly prepared daily. Sunrise Daycare Childcare centre is an incredible small and nurturing structure for kids.

They always keep you informed of your child’s wellbeing and they encourage you to call as many times as you like and this is exceptionally reassuring. The correspondence from the childcare centre is second to none. The managerial personnel interacted with all the kids at the early‑years hub. The personnel themselves are parents and understand all your worries. My little one has learnt so much and has become a confident girl. The security at the nursery setting is excellent and it never worries me. All the youngsters always seem pleased in the company of their carers when we go there. As a worrying 1st time mum, there is nowhere that can compare to the service they provide. They interacted with the kids with age appropriate, fun activities and celebrate all seasonal and religious events. My youngster gelled with the personnel there and they exceptionally soon became like an extended family. They have a truly good skill mix between them, they are extremely approachable. She is always pleased, hygienic and content at nursery setting. The managers have an open door policy.

Despite being in a built-up area, there is a decent amount of outside space which the childcare centre divides up well to cater for the littler and bigger ones. Forest school activities along with Montessori teaching were big plus-points for me. The team have consistently been so lovely, attentive and nurturing, you can tell they truly care about the kids. My eldest absolutely thrived there, she is now at school and is ahead of many of her peers on phonics and writing, all learnt through playtime at Sunrise. I have had regular comments from her primary school teacher to say how impressed they are with her knowledge on all sorts of topics! My youngest joined the baby room at Sunrise a few months ago. After initial drop-off wobbles, she now has a beaming smile when she goes and also when I pick her up. I regularly suggest Sunrise to parents in the area. Sunrise is a fab childcare centre, I’m so cheerful to have found it.
