Co-op Childcare Hackney

As a parent who has had all three of his children transition through the nursery, I can confidently say that I have always been extremely pleased with the level of care and service that has been offered by staff at all levels over the years. My oldest son is 12 years old now and he rarely declines an opportunity to visit the nursery when invited to accompany myself or my wife to collect his baby sister from nursery. This is testimony to the profound effect the staff had on him during his formative years. The welcoming ambience and professional standards at the nursery have also remained consistent over the years irrespective of any staff changes. This has given us confidence to entrust our children into the hands of the staff who oversee them. Finally, the management team have always been empathetic in their approach and relationship with us as parents to which I use this opportunity to extend them a hearty kudos. Well done done team and thank you always for your sacrifice and service!

The teachers are really wonderful and caring and always give us updates at the end of the day as to how they get on. The selection of food is fantastic and varied and no “kid” food, everything is something we would eat at home as a family. They often bring home art and projects and my child loves it and always wants to rush in to see everyone.

Our experience at Hackney Co-op has been amazing in the first month of our little one at nursery. The staff are warm, attentive and give us great confidence which is really the most important thing when you are taking the difficult step of leaving your child away from you. We have been so grateful for the useful live updates on the app which allows us to keep track of what she eats, how she’s performing and sometimes getting pictures of her playing which really makes the day! Our little one has been growing well and is becoming sociable with her nursery experience and I love that she interacts with a diverse bunch of children and staff. I am so pleased with the nursery and will continue to recommend it.

I am very pleased with the progress my child is making at this nursery, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. But mostly I like the way they include parents in any events or occasion that is happening at the nursery.

Staff is caring and listens. Nursery is updating us daily about child’s progression with a lot of pictures, of activities, nappy changes and food eaten. My concerns are listened to and requests/special needs done promptly. Child is coming back with changed clothes which means it is allowed to play and mess up which we like.

When my daughter started at the nursery she was very nervous and did not like being dropped off but now her confidence has grown and she enjoys being dropped off at nursery. My daughter has developed so much and really improved on her independence, she really enjoys going to nursery. The nursery has provided us with as much support as possible by updating us with constant changes or informing us of our daughter’s development through the app. The staff are very friendly and really make the nursery environment welcoming and safe. I am very pleased with the nursery and would recommend it 100%.

Our daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 12-months and she has flourished! The staff are attentive and understanding of the children’s individual needs which is what you want. We left our most precious possession in their hands and they looked after her as if she were their own!
The weekly experiments, ecological activities, daily yoga and meditation are just some of the activities.

The nursery staff are friendly and my daughter is always happy to attend. I enjoy the daily updates which I receive regarding my child’s day. I have observed my daughter with the staff and it is evident that positive relationships have been formed. Staff are open and always willing to communicate about my child in the mornings and evenings.

My child had a bad experience at their previous nursery so we moved to Co-op Childcare Hackney. Since my child started a few months ago, the staff and manager have been friendly, professional, caring and supportive. In just one week at Co-op, my child was potty-trained. Their app updates you with day to day activities with pictures and videos of your child which I love. I would highly recommend this nursery to others as you guys have been doing a great job. Went to see the nursery on an opening day and was pleased. Secured my place for my children and went there to settle them in and things weren’t good, understaffed, no interaction with my children, no activities set out, and no getting down to their level to explain anything. To make it worse we were told the room leader refused to come in the room as she doesn’t want to speak to a man, (some parents are men). I didn’t understand how this was effective and her needs were put before the children’s. This was a room leader, if this is her standard then I already knew how it would be. First time settling my children in and I will not be bringing them back. There was no care, no standards, no comfort, no teaching, no learning, no safeguarding no nothing. I’ve decided my children will no longer need a place there and feel as if me and my partner were lied to on the opening day. I wouldn’t recommend this nursery to anyone and especially if your children can not walk and talk.
