October 19, 2017 at 12:00 amMy now 6-year-old daughter was the first baby at Market Day Nursery and right from the off, it was clear we had made the right choice for our daughter. Our son, now 13 months, is following in his sister’s footsteps.
The Market Day Nursery is caring, supportive, friendly… just what you want for the first steps in your child’s education. Both my children have built strong relationships with the staff and are always cheerful going to nursery and on collection. I often remember my daughter wanting to stay for longer to finish an activity when she moved into the ‘bigger’ children’s rooms.
There is a good balance of indoor and outdoor facilities to stimulate the children. We have attended trips with the children off-site and seen first hand the staff motivation to offer new experiences for all the children.
The other children and parents are also very warm.
I would recommend Market Day Nursery as a fantastic start for any family.

November 10, 2017 at 12:00 amA warm and caring day nursery for children up to five years old, open from 8 am to 6 pm. Our two kids (aged four years old and eighteen months) have been there for more than a year and love it!! They’ve made plenty of friends and they love their teachers.
In general, children at any age feel welcome and happy and they learn and progress through play with the dedicated and friendly staff and with their peers. Their activities are very stimulating and imaginative – for instance, my daughter is now a great cook, which I wouldn’t have expected from sending her to nursery!
The place is a charming old building, surrounded by a primary school, in a very quiet street. The building has three floors and a big garden/playground. The nursery is divided into three sections – one per floor, babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers – and is very mixed and inclusive, which benefits to all the children.
The nursery is a charity, and there are also plenty of opportunities for parents to get involved.

November 10, 2017 at 12:00 amThey have taken amazing care of our son, and now our daughter. They have a really nice space, a great back garden, and just the most caring staff.

November 14, 2017 at 12:00 amNow that my Son has gone to “big” school, it is my daughter’s pleasure to go to Market Nursery. The most important thing for us is the Staff, and here at Market Nursery, they are absolutely fantastic, while so many Nurseries feel clinical and institutional, this is a home away from home for the children and babies alike. Both of our children have loved every day they have been at Market Nursery, they always come home happy and fulfilled.

November 16, 2017 at 12:00 amAlthough my daughter no longer attends Market Nursery she still speaks about her time spent there to this day.
When she speaks about Market Nursery her memories are of the friends that she made (who she is still close too now) and many trips that she attended.
As a parent, my child started her school journey as a confident, happy, positive, eager to learn little girl, which I strongly believe is due to her time spent at Market Nursery.

November 27, 2017 at 12:00 amMarket Nursery have taken great care of my children during their early years. They have gained a great foundation in their early year’s education and developed key social skills. The team are a very caring and supportive group of individuals, who take a genuine and keen interest in all the children that attend.

July 16, 2021 at 12:00 amA fantastic settling in period considering the covid guidelines, still ensuring I felt reassured, being caring towards my child and offering brilliant play experiences. I love the garden, the building and the interaction and updates from teachers.

July 16, 2021 at 12:00 amOur 3 year old son has been taken care of by the wonderful staff of the London Fields Nursery (previously Market Nursery) for a little over two years now, and we couldn’t be happier with his development, and with the relationships he has formed with the other kids as well as the carers.
The nursery in itself is lovely, and since its very recent refurbishment, it’s even more of an amazing space for the children to strive in. Our son particularly loves the playground, and the activities organised by the staff (that we can follow with the parent app) are stimulating and fun.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a warm and cosy nursery in East London.

July 19, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has been attending London Fields nursery since he was seven months; he is now three. The staff are brilliant. They are professional and caring. The place has been recently refurbished and the rooms are spacious, clean, airy, and bright. I highly recommending this place!

July 21, 2021 at 12:00 amLondon Fields Nursery & Pre-school has a real sense of community and I feel very lucky to have found it. The staff there are warm, caring and friendly and I have full confidence in sending my daughter here and she is so excited to go in the mornings!
I’m kept up to date with all her activities, learning and play and feel very listened to.
I feel like I’ve found ‘my village’ of support in the City. We couldn’t be happier.

July 22, 2021 at 12:00 amMy child absolutely adores London Fields Nursery and Pre-School. Since starting 3 months ago he’s advanced so much, in such a short space of time. Really worth every penny; I’m so glad we were able to send our son here.
All my interactions with staff have left me so impressed. The staff are proactive and caring and always well organised and coordinated. The talented management staff have promoted a caring and nurturing environment all based on the LEYF pedagogy.
I sent my son here full time aged 14 months after enduring 3 months of challenging mealtimes where he had zero interest in weaning. I didn’t know what I was going to do. Then, within his first week of nursery, he started coming home with a strong appetite and eager to engage with mealtimes. I am truly grateful to London Fields Nursery for this breakthrough!
London Fields Nursery and Pre-School is a rare gem of a nursery with a wonderful community; we are so lucky!

November 9, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has attended London Fields nursery since he was thirteen months old and having viewed a lot of other nurseries and actually accepting a place to start elsewhere, I came and saw London Fields on a whim after a friend mentioned the Leyf group to me and I never looked back! From the first show around, I knew that this would be the best environment for my son and also for my own piece of mind – as a parent you always worry right? So London Fields felt like a home away from home, with such wonderful 7 strand social learning ethos.
A year on, they have not disappointed! My son has gone from a baby to a thriving, confident, caring and chatty toddler. He loves all the staff at London Fields and has made some wonderful friends who he talks about endlessly. The nursery team are full of care and love for our little boy and it really does show and I am so grateful. The outdoor space is fantastic and the home-cooked healthy menu is the best I’ve seen! Thank you London Fields, we love you!

November 9, 2022 at 12:00 amBoth our three year old and one year love their days at nursery here. The recent settling in process for our youngest was carefully managed and he has taken to nursery so well, thanks in no small part to the highly personalised care and routines that have been established. The nursery feels like an extension of home, with adults who take time to get to know you and we all feel cared for. I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough.

February 14, 2023 at 12:00 amA Lovely nursery where they genuinely put the children first. My daughter started in the toddler room this January and she has settled really well. The staff love the children and are really relaxed in front of the kids, letting them play and roam freely with loads of space and activities set up each day. Behind the scenes, they are monitoring development and updating parents. There is an app where you get sent pictures and alerts for meals and nappy changes. They have stringent safety and safeguarding regulations and I have no doubt that my daughter is safe and happy there. The lady who runs to the room is absolutely lovely, as are the rest of the staff. The head of the nursery is great and has such dedication to the children’s development. Meals are cooked on-site and there is a sensory room and great outdoor space.

February 20, 2023 at 12:00 amWe are so happy with this nursery! Our daughter started when she was 18 months and is now 3 years old so we’ve experienced all the rooms, and can say they are equally great. The staff are incredibly caring and knowledgeable about how to support small children and take a real interest in developing our daughter as an individual. The room leader is constantly thinking of new ways to inspire the children from doing yoga, and trying out languages to making enormous papier-mache sharks together. We feel really lucky to have found the nursery – couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

April 7, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter started young at six months and stayed there up to 19 months. The team took such great care of her as she was the youngest. Loved the team and the manager. They have a great outdoor area, are always creative with different activities and do amazing initiatives (charity). We were very sad to leave due to a move out of the area. Strongly recommend this nursery.

April 26, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter started at the wonderful London Fields Nursery & Pre-School when she was 11 months old. It was such an easy transition as the team took great care of her and were very mindful, calm and caring. Every single one of the caregivers have been incredible with her and have kept us updated every step of the way. The nursery shows great values and have taught our daughter the importance of setting her own boundaries to others and exploring her own limits for herself. They constantly provide creative ways for development and play and really do put the children first. We are very sad to leave the nursery which is only due to moving to another area. Special thanks for making our daughter safe and happy to all the staff members and especially the room leader and the head of the nursery.

May 3, 2023 at 12:00 amThis nursery is excellent. The staff are kind and welcoming. My daughter settled into the baby room easily and loves the staff and the food. The communication from the nursery is excellent, I really value having updates through the app on what my daughter has eaten and when she’s slept.

May 28, 2023 at 12:00 amThe place is fantastic. The architecture of the building reflects the qualities of the nursery. A calm, cosy, timeless place. It feels familiar. An ecosystem that protects, nurtures and promotes positive values. We wish the world would be like this nursery. We see our daughter happy, willing to go, but also developing skills that she is picking up just at the nursery that balances and strengthens the education at home. Overall it has been a very positive experience.
