Orchard House Nursery

My granddaughter has been with Orchard House Nursery for 4 months. She is now 9 months old and is thriving thanks to the care and work that the staff at Orchard House Nursery baby room give her.
I feel happy leaving her in a morning and know that she is in safe hands while I go off to work.
The staff are always approachable and I feel as though they are there for both the child and the parents if need be. They have certainly given me some much-needed advice and support over the last few months
I can’t praise them all enough.

He has come on so so much since starting the nursery at 4 months old. He is now 21 months. He has progressed so much at this nursery.

Staff are fantastic with my son and he regularly runs in, arms up, asking to be picked up. He always comes home smiling. Staff are always polite, helpful and friendly. My son gets very personal care, you can see his key workers really look after him, not just tolerate him.

I would highly recommend this nursery.

The manager and the team at Orchard House are wonderful and have provided a loving, caring, stimulating and family-like environment for my eldest child for over three years and my youngest for the last six months. We could not be happier with our choice of nursery – from the baby unit leader and another staff member in the baby room happily following our wishes around sleeping and weaning (and giving out lots of cuddles) to the deputy manager and another member of staff working out creative ways to stimulate toddlers in the nursery room (with day trips, cookery lessons and encouraging a love of reading) and to prepare them for school. In fact, all of the staff are just brilliant – without exception – and we are very grateful to them for everything they do for our children (and the enthusiasm with which they do it), both of whom are extremely happy at Orchard House.

My son has attended this nursery for 2 years now. I would highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly, polite and professional. My son is always talking about how fun they are as well.
When he first started there he was very very shy, all the staff have helped build his confidence through interactive play and learning.
I have never in the two years had any issues or concerns with the nursery but I’m sure if I did they would be dealt with straight away.
I have always felt that my son is safe and happy here, so much so my daughter (baby) will also be attending soon.

Our child, now 3 years old, has attended this nursery since she was 10 months old and she absolutely loves it. It’s a relatively small nursery compared to some in the area, and the low number of children in the same place at the same time means the level of noise and chaos is contained.
Our daugther adores the staff, which is almost identical to when she started there, ensuring a home-away-from-home atmosphere. The carers, both as individuals as a group, have impressed us a lot with their energy and keen interest in the children, but also because they seem to genuinely enjoy themselves at work. There is a sense of humour and flexibility that makes us all feel like we’re part of a big family.

I have sent both of my boys to Orchard House and cannot recommend highly enough! The manager and her team have really created a family environment where kids thrive. From preparing my oldest to start big school to ensuring my baby feels secure and happy. My youngest son worships the ground his keyworker walks on! One of the best decisions we made was becoming part of the (then Lollipops) now Orchard House family!

This nursery has potential to be a good nursery, but it is far from there yet! I was recommended this by some other mums, based on their previous experience and I’m sure that it was once a great place, but it is no longer. I had a terrible experience there.
Every day my son cried on the way there and begged me not to go. Because I had to work, I sent him while I looked for another place. Every time I would pick him up he would be filthy, even though he had spare clothes. He would have his dummy even though I told them explicitly it was only for naps. I would be told by one worker that he had eaten all his lunch, then by another he hadn’t eaten a thing.
It was heartbreaking to see my son so unhappy.
Thankfully he only spent four weeks there before I took him out and put him in an infinitely better nursery down the road.
Orchard House is a no-frills nursery that offers basic care. Everything is in need of updating and refreshing. Personally, I would look for another place to put my child.

The staff at Orchard House Nursery have done an incredible job with my daughter, who has attended since age 2. She has achieved all of her targets and has often been working at a higher age bracket thanks to the hard work the girls put in! Would recommend the nursery to anybody, I never have to worry if my daughter is being looked after as she’s in brilliant hands and is always excited to get there in the morning!

Our son has thrived during his near four years at Orchard House and transitioned to reception with ease (although he’s keen to return to tell them everything every day). The staff have been consistent throughout his time there which speaks volumes. They are a genuine enthused and supportive team and always have time to fill parents and carers in on their child’s day (and share photo updates via a portal). The love and care they’ve given him has been so marked and he’s been supported and equipped to pursue his interests and favourite activities from lifeboat drawings to growing sunflowers and cress. He loved the dinners there and misses them. We couldn’t have wished for a better place for these formative years.

My daughter started attending Orchard House Nursery at the end of September this year and since starting I couldn’t be happier with how comfortable and happy my little girl is with the nursery, staff and other children. She’s happy every time I pick her up. I love that you get updates with photos and videos each day!
The staff are so lovely and helpful! I’m very happy with my choice within the area for her, within two to three weeks of starting her vocabulary started to expand too! This was definitely the best decision.

I have my two kids there and I couldn’t be happier with the attention all staff give to them.
They always listen to our requests and try everything to make them possible.
My kids always go happy to the nursery and come even happier, that means everything.
Also, I think they really develop the kids with very good and different activities. And they send us videos or photos during the day, which is lovely to see! I’m very happy with the food they serve, always lots of vegetables and fruit!

Our son has attended Orchard House since he was ten months old and we are very happy with the experience so far. Staff are extremely caring and attentive, and put a huge amount of effort and imagination into developmental activities. Our son has come on leaps and bounds in his time here and has strong bonds with staff and classmates. We have almost daily updates from his key worker, meals are prepared on site, and the children have daily access to a large and well equipped garden (not so common in central London). The manager is wonderful, as are all the staff in the baby room. Parents get regular communication via messaging services and the app.

My daughter has attended Orchard House Nursery for the last six months, and I feel it was the best decision we made for her. She absolutely loves it here and is always asking to go back. Staff are caring, friendly, supportive and communicate well. The range of activities is good; the children learn how to grow some fruit/veg; they make use of the proximity to the town centre and go on many walks. Also, we have a monthly home learning booklet which includes a wide range of activities from reading, crafts and baking, as well as learning about festivals/holidays, which as parents, enables us to carry on with the subjects/themes they are learning at nursery.

My little one has been in the nursery since she was four months old. She couldn’t hold her head up at that time. The level of care provided is incredible. They are flexible in supporting your kid’s growth. Their communication is very effective too.

Couldn’t recommend a better nursery for all of my children. I’ve used the nursery since 2015 for all three of my children, and they all enjoyed it and loved it! The staff are lovely and very welcoming. I have loads of respect for all the ladies and their hard work. Keep it up!

My little girl has settled in really well. The staff are friendly and the nursery keeps you up to date with all news via email and notifications around the setting.
All the children seem happy and engaged when I drop off and collect my little girl. I can see all the lovely activities all the children take part in with pictures and artwork displayed around the setting which is lovely.
We attended a wonderful Easter bonnet parade and it’s perfect being able to join in and engage with the owner and staff who take great pride in their work and the children. Couldn’t ask for more!

Our 17-month-old has been attending Orchard House since February, he has made lots of developmental progress in his short time there and has formed a very close bond with his key worker. He is very content leaving our care and goes into nursery happily every morning that he is there. We are provided with detailed updates on his day via his notebook, including what he has eaten, his nappy changes, nap times and things he has done during the day. His key worker also takes the time when we collect him to personally update us on how his day has been and any other info we may need before he leaves. We also receive regular updates from the nursery via email, including a monthly home learning booklet. We are extremely happy with the care provided, all correspondence, and couldn’t have chosen a better nursery!
