September 11, 2024 at 6:34 amOur daughter loved her time there and the two ladies who run it. The Manager has been running it for 30+ years but still has such enthusiasm and obvious affection for the kids. Lots of thought goes into creating a stimulating and varied discovering and playing journey for the kids. The facilities may look a bit rough around the edges but the garden space is excellent and the kids have everything they need. Really attentive and lovely setting for kids.

October 9, 2024 at 11:11 pmThe intimate and welcoming setting at Dolphin coupled with the manager’s and a particular team member’s loving and patient approach made the settling in process quick and easy. We all instantly felt part of the Dolphin family and the manager went to excellent lengths to make us sense included and introduced us to the other families. My son adores them and loves going to childcare centre, happily skipping off, sometimes without even saying goodbye! I couldn’t suggest it enough – it feels like a well kept local secret as I only found out about it through other parents who had sent their kids there before. My son started at Dolphin Montessori when he was 2 years old and he had previously been exclusively in a one on one childcare setting.

October 11, 2024 at 7:52 pmOur son started at the childcare centre during the pandemic. From the very first day, he ran in and loved every minute of it, discovering all sorts of songs, yoga poses, animal facts and cooking. He was constantly coming back with a fantastic array of pictures, crafts, and Father’s and Mother’s Day presents that he’d made. We had to deal with family illness over a period of several months in his first year, taking him out of school for several weeks. The warmth, assistance and total flexibility shown towards our whole family was incredible and they were very accommodating about unpredictable attendance. Throughout his two years there, we had the full self‑assurance that our son was being taught and looked after in an incredibly nurturing, calm and creative setting. I sense so sad that his time there is over! I cannot suggest Dolphin strongly enough – it is an incredibly special place which is entirely focused on the well-being and growth of the kids and is run by two fantastic educators.

October 31, 2024 at 1:00 amShe has grown in self‑assurance, starting with one day and now will be on three days when we return in September. Previously she had one on one care either from us or from kid care, so naturally, like many parents, this was a big step for her to attend a childcare centre and wondered how she would get on and if we had made the right choice. We shouldn’t have been concerned. Our daughter quickly adapted and the welcome of both Carole the owner and they have been excellent. She enjoys going there and often talks about what she has learned and done in the day. We have been very cheerful with the journey so far. We suggest Dolphin Montessori to other parents in the local area. We like that the premises are relatively spacious, the Montessori method and the homely atmosphere. We have been very cheerful with the journey of our daughter at Dolphin Montessori School.

December 10, 2024 at 3:55 amThe two ladies who run it have been there for many, many years (decades?) and are outstanding at knowing every kid and how to develop them. They have such excellent insights and are so supportive and attentive of their kids. They have weekly yoga, cooking and music classes. My kids are so proud of their cooking, which they bring home with them. When my son got interested by a hammer, they organised an (age appropriate) woodwork class for him. They have great outdoor space (bigger than most London nurseries). They work hard to build a community of parents, with regular events. They often give little, well thought-out presents to the kids (at Christmas etc.) and are so tactful that they even include siblings not at the childcare centre. The only two small downsides are that you need to bring your own food, and that they mirror school hours and holidays, which is not necessarily convenient for everyone. Wonderful place. We absolutely loved Dolphin and are heartbroken to be leaving.

December 22, 2024 at 9:39 pmI cannot praise it highly enough, the two lovely educators who run it have a very special place in my heart and my kids’s. All 3 of my kids attended Dolphin for 2 years before leaving to start school. It was such a wrench to leave the 2 lovely educators behind who have been so fantastic, compassionate, loving, creative and supported me and my husband over the 5 years. It is 100% kid focused – all introductions were done at the pace of the kid. My first kid had health issues and only went one morning a week initially and this was fine. There was no mandate for her to attend a minimum amount of days or ‘we’d lose her place’ like other nurseries. The educators are only focused on what is best for the kid. It was a joy to know they were getting such a loving care in a creative calm setting but also discovering key skills for school and were well prepared for Reception socially and academically. We miss you! Dolphin has provided the most remarkable start in life for my kids.

January 23, 2025 at 6:27 amThe team take real care to meet each of the kids’s individual needs, which enables them to really flourish! Our kids loved the garden, climbing trees and yoga but cooking was definitely the firm favourite! Dolphin really helps encourage independent discovering and our daughter’s transition to school was seamless, due to their careful assistance and planning. Dolphin is a fantastic childcare centre and you will really sense part of the family! Our kids loved attending Dolphin.

February 22, 2025 at 6:23 amThe care and attention she was given was greatly appreciated and she had lots of enjoyable cooking, painting and playing in the garden. A excellent first journey for her. Although our daughter was there only one term until her local childcare centre place came free, this was her first childcare centre setting and she took to it straight away.

Our little girl felt completely comfortable and at home and genuinely loves being at Dolphins. Loved every minute. Thank you to the manager and her team for everything! March 27, 2025 at 5:19 pmBoth the educators are so experienced and clearly passionate about what they do and the kids they care for. Our daughter really struggles with change and they were brilliantly patient and flexible with her, until she settled in. She now adores her time at Dolphin and is consistently so excited to tell us what she has done at the end of the day. They make sure the kids are encouraged to be independent and consistently discovering as well as having enjoyable. Endless painting, books, cooking and garden enjoyable! They have really nurtured our daughter into a confident, enjoyable-loving little girl and we would suggest it to anyone. Dolphin is such a fantastic, attentive childcare centre.

March 31, 2025 at 8:43 pmHe didn’t really start until months later, in June, but what I found when he did eventually start was the best possible setting for him at what was a very stressful and worrying time. Other reviewers here have praised the two educators and it’s difficult to overestimate just how perfectly they’re suited to what they do. They’re calm, compassionate, thoughtful, diligent and engaged as well as endlessly interested in and genuinely delighted by their charges – and even though my son has moved on to a pre-school childcare centre, he still visits from time to time to say hello. And now my younger daughter is about to start at Dolphin, which means that she’ll have the opportunity to journey the same secure, creative, and nurturing setting that the educators have created. It’s a very special place, and the kids who attend really are very lucky. My son was due to start attending childcare centre just as the pandemic struck in March 2020.

April 1, 2025 at 11:21 pmThey are consistently so calm and loving and all kid needs or problems – no matter how big or small- are catered to and tended to in the best possible manner. They have a way of calming all kids with their journey of over 39 years in childcare and their enthusiasms and infectious adore of their childcare centre kids is boundless. This is a fantastic special and magical place for kids. We sense lucky to have come across it. My eldest 8-year-old kid went to The Dolphin and because the two ladies who run it, are so fantastic with kids and are clearly born for this job, we also sent our son who will start a second year there this September, 2020.

June 2, 2025 at 10:03 pmThe team are incredibly compassionate and gentle with the kids, and the kids are very fond of them. Our daughter was very sad to leave! They have nice outside space and various interesting visitors (baby, yoga etc). The Dolphin is an extremely sweet place, and our daughter had a excellent time there.
