Longwood School & Nursery

I moved to Longwood School & Nursery in August 2018. I was desperate for a place for my son. The school was very kind and helpful to have us. School is amazing and really involved with the kids and family. As a new school and area, my son has had some difficulties with school trying to help me as a parent and my son to adapt with the matter. Definitely great and caring team. They work hard to bring in families at all levels in harmony and tonality with the system. They listen carefully to us and give us a solution. Would highly recommend.

Our son currently attends the pre-school at Longwood whilst our daughter has joined the nursery. The staff are welcoming yet professional. Both of our children have settled in very well. The setting has the perfect mix of education and outdoor activities whilst the children learn and play through a structured day. We are so happy our children attend Longwood. Wish we had found Longwood before!

Longwood School & Nursery is a great establishment from nursery to school. Both my children have been attending from 10 months. The nursery staff to school staff are all great and always helpful. The staff are always happy to help and approachable to discuss any concerns you wish to discuss. The teachers are very supportive with any needs the children require and also happy to support the parents along the way. The school is set up with great facilities for the children with great outdoor space. The school also offers great wrap-around care and my children absolutely love it. The school is definitely like a ‘family’ and I would highly recommend it.

Our little one has been at this nursery since 11 months old. I looked at 3 other nurseries around the area and found that Longwood had the perfect balance of open and green areas, indoor spaces for playing/eating/sleeping, and learning facilities that suited all age groups. All nursery and school staff are so warm and welcoming and provide really wonderful nurturing care. My little one has truly blossomed under their very capable and caring hands. The school is like a huge family, everyone knows everyone! During the pandemic, despite the challenges, the school staff gave exceptional education and near-to-normal experience to the children, for which I am eternally grateful. The headmistress is always looking for ways to make the nursery/school life as exciting as possible for the children, bringing in the much-needed element of fun in learning. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like their child to learn in a nurturing, warm and exciting setting!

Longwood has been the best decision for our daughter who attended Preschool in 2019 and is currently attending Reception. Staff are really friendly and very supportive. Despite my daughter’s personal challenges, Longwood has been helping her in every possible way including SENCO support. The headteacher, in particular, has been very understanding and super supportive, because of which we have committed to keeping our daughter at Longwood throughout till Year 6. Preschool and Reception class teachers have been the best. Also, the school’s long opening hours is a bonus for working parents like us.
During the Covid outbreak, Longwood has been following strict guidelines and has been keeping us parents well informed which helps to keep our minds at rest. We know our kids are safe at school.
Our daughter loves the varieties of nutritional diets being served at school.
The daily activities for kids are phenomenal including academic coursework and feedback to parents via the app.

Our youngest child started attending the nursery and we have opted to stay on at the school as we have been extremely happy in every respect. The staff work hard to create a warm and nurturing learning environment for the children. We also have a second child who attended the nursery and then the school until moving up to secondary school. Longwood provided excellent academic and personal development – an excellent platform in general – for continuing education. Both children have blossomed from the highly individual child-centred approach and the staff are friendly and helpful. Having been close to the school/nursery for close to 15 years we really couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

I could not be any happier with Longwood Nursery. My son has attended since he was six months old (he is now two and a half). The staff are friendly and fantastic with the children and keep parents updated. My son is always talking about what he has been up to, and he is super confident which I believe is down to his time at nursery and he always goes in and comes out happy. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We have been with Longwood for over 2 years now and have just enrolled our second child, who has just started.
Longwood has been an environment where our older child has thrived, the staff are genuinely caring and kind. Its been really reassuring knowing that our children are well cared for, stimulated and given warm nutritious meals throughout the day.

Very pleased we decided to choose Longwood. Our little one has attended here for coming up to a year and the development we have seen has been brilliant and the independence they try to teach the kids.
So would highly recommend it. We visited nine other nurseries within the local area and this offered everything we were looking for from the staff who you can see have wonderful connections with the kids and are also very friendly even when you are picking the kids up in the evenings. The on-site food there is a good selection. All the activities and toys they have to keep the kids busy, and the outside space for the kids to enjoy is really something else they even have a greenhouse for the kids to look after plants and veg. There really is so much space and the gardens are split between different classes, on-site parking so you don’t have the morning stress or pickups. The opening hours of 7am – 7pm.

We are very pleased with the overall care and progress our daughter has made at longwood. The staff at longwood nursery are incredibly warm and nurturing. It is well run and very organised. Communication is excellent.
