December 7, 2020 at 12:00 amToad Hall Berkhamsted has been one of the biggest contributors to my son’s development. The staff have always been so welcoming and warming with us all and most importantly, my son. He’s made strong relationships with staff members and with other children. I couldn’t be happier with the care and nurturing that my son receives. He is fiercely independent now and it can only get better from here. Thank you so much, everyone at Toad Hall Berkhamsted.

December 7, 2020 at 12:00 amMy baby boy has been at Toad Hall since he was 11 months old. He has loved it since day one and has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are really friendly and take great care of him and I’m always amazed at how they get a group of 1-year-olds so well engaged in so many different learning activities. They do some great things, with a good balance of child and adult-led learning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.

December 7, 2020 at 12:00 amI was very nervous of my daughter starting nursery, due to lockdown, as the only faces she knew were ours. The nursery made sure they gave her plenty of settling in sessions and I shouldn’t have worried. She wriggles with excitement to go in every morning with a big smile on her face. She’s clearly so happy there and spends each day with varied, fun but educational activities. Staff have been amazing, friendly, approachable and clearly dedicated to what they do. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nursery.

June 22, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter has absolutley thrived since being at Toad Hall. All the staff are absolutley brilliant and very approachable if you have any problems at all or concerns about specific areas of your childs development. Could not fault this nursery and would 100% recommend!

June 22, 2021 at 12:00 amToad Hall has been so wonderful with our daughter – with lockdown we were very nervous about how she would settle into a new environment away from home.
The staff were so kind and reassuring and helped us with the settling process, all
made harder that drop-offs had to be at the door.
It’s now been a few months since she started and we are seeing her grow in confidence and being more comfortable around new people.
Very happy with our choice of nursery.

It’s been hard to not be able to see inside the nursery, due to covid, but the team have done a great job of trying to let us know what the space is like for the boys and how they are developing. We would love more information on their day but I think that’s natural, when you don’t get to see them inside the space.

Always lots of great activities for the children and they make learning fun. We always had full trust in the staff and our children always came out happy. The staff really do care about the children and I would highly recommend the nursery.

February 1, 2022 at 12:00 amAn amazing nursery, where staff clearly care for all the children. My son comes home buzzing from a fun filled day and regularly talks about the staff that look after him. The staff give a thorough hand over at the end of the day to keep us updated on the daily activities.

March 7, 2022 at 12:00 amWe have been at Toad Hall since 2013 when it first opened. We have always had an A* with the management and the environment that has been fostered by a caring manager and assistant manager. Both children have been/are happy at Toad Hall.

April 11, 2022 at 12:00 amFriendly, professional staff who go the extra mile and take a real interest in each child. Lovely outdoor space and excellent nutritional menus. We’ve been really pleased over the last few years and plan to enrol our second child, once I go back to work.

The staff have been exceptional throughout, from the early days when it was hard for my daughter and us, as parents, to be separated, through COVID, and now through the transition to primary school. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

She, like so many others, was born in lockdown so had limited contact with people early on. She took some settling to adjust to nursery but the team were wonderful. They have built such a great connection with her now that now she cant wait to get to nursery! The team are always friendly and communicate brilliantly. Its very special to have a nursery that we love and trust so a huge thank you for the team at Toad Hall Berkhamsted for all you do!

September 22, 2022 at 12:00 amMy youngest just left Toad Hall aged 4, she started when she was about 18 months. The staff are absolutely lovely, the menus sound delicious. Obviously, I never had a full meal but the kitchen staff catered for the graduation and all the parents were impressed. The management is excellent, really approachable and helpful. They are flexible (as much as they can be). There are 4 different rooms for the different aged children, and different outdoor areas as well so the kids are well supervised at all times with age-appropriate activities. The staff-to-children ratio was high in all the rooms, even for the older children which I was very happy about. I can’t speak highly enough of this place, the manager is clearly doing a fantastic job.

November 16, 2022 at 12:00 amThere’s no problem too big for any of the staff, they’re ever willing to help and listen, a friendly bunch too. They’ve always got the time to hear me out and never once have we had any disagreement. They’re accommodating towards my needs as a mom and my son’s. Highly recommend if good management and staff are one of your top priorities.

He absolutely loves going to nursery and has been known to get his bag and try to go at the weekend! The variety of activities is great. The staff are friendly and passionate about their work and really get to know the children. Our son is really thriving and we would recommend the nursery to others.

January 31, 2023 at 12:00 amOur nursery and all the staff are great in so many ways. In the last month, they have helped settle our child back into the routine of the nursery after a long break over Christmas. Unfortunately, he then came out with chickenpox which the nursery spotted very early. They gave us advice on when he could come back and kept in touch about his progress. They then helped him settle back at nursery again! He is very fond of the key workers and kids in his room so he was happy to be back.

June 7, 2023 at 12:00 amVery pleased with the nursery. The staff are caring and attentive and activities and themed days varied. Also good set-up outside for all weather. My child enjoys their time at the nursery and I feel informed of their day and development.
