Wonderland Day Nursery

Both my husband and I are very happy with the level of care my child receives at the nursery. She has moved through all the groups at the nursery from baby to 3-5’s and all have met her needs. The staff are caring and kind. My daughter feels valued and cared for. She oftens talks about her keyworker at home and always in a positive light. The children undertake a wide variety of activities from food tasting and cooking to drama and music, letter sounds, role play and small world play. As a teacher, I feel that they really do work on developing the WHOLE child. Children are encouraged to share their interests with the staff and interest is always shown.

The children’s journals are sent home and the work towards the child development goals are shared on a regular basis. I have always found the staff helpful if there is a concern. The children’s care plans are regularly reviewed and updated with parents. We chose this nursery because it is clean. The staff were helpful and knowledgable. The environment was a positive one and the children were happy and being actively engaged with by the adults around them. I also liked that in the baby group, they worked around MY CHILD’S sleep patterns and feeding times and they didn’t try to get them to fit with their time lines etc.

The security at the door is also a strength.

My partner and I are extremely happy with Wonderland nursery. Our child has had wonderful key workers, with whom he has a real bond. They are given lots of time in the outside play area, which is important to us as I think spending time outdoors is so good for children. They provide a variety of activities such messy play, a music group and plenty of role play activities. They provide a learning journal to document what the individual child has been doing, with photographs. As well as showing progress of the child, it gives a real insight into what they have been doing on a day to day basis, and it is lovely to have such a comprehensive record of these early years.
The staff are always friendly and helpful, and as another reviewer mentioned, the door security is great.
The management team sends out weekly news emails with details about what the various age groups have been doing, and will be doing the following week.

My daughter joined Wonderland Day Nursery when she was 5 months old. Since then she has grown so much. She started walking, talking, counting very fast.

She has developed very well and she is very good with other people and children. I am very happy we chosen Wonderland Day Nursery.

My son attended Wonderland Day Nursery from 10 months old until he turned 3. The staff are fantastic and his progress during his time there was above and beyond. His progress was well documented with a “learning journey” folder (including pictures) which we got to keep. There is a great family feeling at the nursery. I would definitely recommend this nursery and would consider using again in the future.

Very happy with sending my children to this nursery. The staff are always happy and friendly. They are always willing to help when need. Good variety of food.

My daughter has been attending Wonderland since she was 10 months old and she is now 4 years old.
I am so pleased with her progression in terms of her speech, numeracy and literacy development.
All the staff are very welcoming and seem to really care about the children.
It is also clearly displayed what activities the children have done throughout the day and also the food they have eaten.

We have been using this nursery for the last 6 years. The staff are friendly and helpful, the nursery is clean, bright and the meals are cooked freshly and are filling.

The staff at Wonderland Day Nursery have been very warm and welcoming. My son loves attending and literally runs through the gates for every session. He has developed wonderful relationships with the staff and is always so happy to see them. I can see the genuine care they have for my son and his development. His social skills and understanding of language has come on so much in the two months that he has attended. I feel very supported as a parent and feel that they always make time to discuss my sons day and progress with me and they give me advice and support when needed.

My son has been going to Wonderland Day Nursery since early this year 2021 and I can honestly say it’s the most loveliest and caring nursery I know. My son loves it there and staff are very friendly and welcoming. He comes home and shows me everything he has learnt and he can now spell his own name and his baby brother’s name and sings me all the songs he has learnt. I always look on his tapestry and see happy playing photos and things he makes and things he brings home last week, he made gingerbread men for him and his little brother and was telling his brother how he helped make the icing and how much fun it was. He also has tried new foods and loved something new, I honestly couldn’t ask for a safer and happy nursery for my son, highly recommend.

I love this nursery, and so does my child. I’ve seen many improvements, and I’m grateful for the manager and her staff. The staff make an effort to engage my boy and develop him in a very individualised way. The manager and all the staff at Wonderland are loving, caring and understanding. I’m glad I found them! My son has attended the nursery since 2021. He has gone from a child that absolutely hated going to nursery (at his previous nursery) to one that absolutely loves it now that he attends Wonderland Day Nursery. He always comes home full of happiness and is excited to tell me all about the new things that he has learnt each day, the fun he has had and about the yummy food he has eaten and learnt the names of. He has built a good relationship with the other children and all of the staff. Staff at Wonderland Day Nursery are always willing to help if there are any questions, and always spend the time to give a comprehensive handover, so that I know exactly how my sons day has been. My son is always happy to start his day at the nursery as he is always greeted with a warm, friendly welcome by staff. The manager is always there to deal with any queries promptly, and is always able to advise and help with any questions. By far the best Nursery we have had experience with!

My son joined this nursery a few months ago and settled in straight away. He always goes with a smile on his face and doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day! The nursery plan a good range of fun activities both indoors and outdoors to support the children’s development.
As a small nursery, all the staff know all the children very well, no matter which room they are in. I am confident that my son’s well-being is prioritised and I’m provided with good updates at the end of each day.

My daughter is 40 months and has been attending Wonderland Day Nursery for approaching one year now.
When I first visited it wasn’t the best looking nursery we had seen and I found it quite small, which made me question my decision.
Oh, how wrong I was.
My daughter thoroughly enjoys her days here and looks forwards to attending.
It’s run by one of the nicest ladies you’ll possibly ever meet who is also in charge of the older children within the nursery. The manager is a caring, gentle and extremely approachable person, everything you would want from someone in charge of looking after your children.
My daughter’s has two favourites although my daughter has gone to the “bigger girls class” now with one of the lovely staff, I’ve been told she still sneaks downstairs to be with the other staff member in the babies class to bake.
I honestly think Wonderland Day Nursery is fantastic and every single staff member is so lovely and warm.

My daughter started her journey at Wonderland Day Nursery at the age of 2, around a year ago, and I could not have chosen a better nursery for her. The staff are amazing and so welcoming, not only to my daughter but also us, her parents. She comes home every day telling us all the exciting things she has learned, and my goodness, the activities they plan for the children are just astonishing. The staff are amazing with her and have really helped her to progress in her overall development, especially her speech, which progressed really quickly within a short period of time. The manager is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The support and time she has given me and my child are beyond any expectations. The staff are amazing and really go all the way with preparing them for school readiness, along with supporting us as parents too! I truly cannot thank the Wonderland ladies enough for being a second family to my little girl.

My son joined the nursery in September at 10 months old. He is now 17 months old and thriving. He is a happy, loving and friendly day little boy who fits in well with the rest of the children and teachers. He goes off every morning with a wave and no fuss. He is developing in leaps and bounds and his speech is becoming more and more everyday, he loves reading and plays nicely with an array of toys. He loves messy play and I put this all down to the variety of different activities available to him on a daily basis. I have a good relationship with his key worker and all the staff at the nursery.
