Rascals Day Nursery

My little one has been attending this childcare centre since she was 11-months-old, and I cannot fault it. It’s flexible, personnel and management are caring and considerate. I won’t hesitate to send my boy here when he’s older.

The team are really great with them, the structure there is excellent too, great preparation for the transition to childcare centre school. The only downside would be the fact that the days they are in are set, I understand that this has to be the case due to places available in each room, but being a shift worker it would help if the days were flexible, as it means having to arrange alternative kid care if my shifts do not fall on childcare centre days. Also, bank holidays are another problem to cover with kid care. Access to the online forum enabled me to check on them throughout the day – it would help if details about outbreaks of childhood illnesses and other information that is usually up at the entrance to the childcare centre was also posted on the online forum. We have been using Rascals now for our kids since 2013, very pleased with the service our kids have, really enjoyed their time in the childcare centre.

My little one started nursery setting at five and a half months old with this branch of Rascals, and I couldn’t have asked for better support for her. The crew looking after the baby room are worth their weight in gold, such a great setting for babies to discover and develop, surrounded by the nicest people who really enjoy what they do. The management and team are extremely kind and considerate, and their wealth of period immediately puts us at ease. I am extremely grateful for the care they showed us and honestly couldn’t advocate them more wholeheartedly. And the cost is a bargain for what you get from the team in this branch. My little one had a great time there, and we are extremely sorry to leave, but relocating to Derry. We liked the ethos and approach taken here so much that we have transferred to the branch there.

All team are extremely attentive and welcoming and show a genuine interest and care towards the kids. They provide detailed, daily feedback which is updated throughout the day and can be obtained online.
Rascals provide a comfortable, stimulating setting, which is well resourced and a variety of playtime activities to enhance the intellectual, social, emotional, language and physical development of the kids. They provide a healthy, nutritious, varied menu.
However, it is expensive and as a result, we only use it 3 days per week. Rascals has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere.

Staff has always been welcoming, welcoming to both myself and my little one. Rascals Upper Lisburn Road has been a complete lifesaver for the fact that they offer exceptional emergency childcare. Well done ladies. I couldn’t be more pleased to have such quality youngster attention on such short notice!

They are extremely accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The ladies in each of the rooms my youngsters have been in have conducted themselves with such professionalism and are naturally suited to the job. Most important of all, my little ones cherish it here. They are extremely kind and I have never, even the corridors came across anyone without a greeting and a smile. The ladies looking after my little ones have a good relationship with my kids and for me that means everything. I would not consider sending my little ones anywhere else as I don’t feel this day nursery setting could be beaten in the quality of attention they provide. They have worked with me to ensure we are working together so that potty training and temper tantrums etc are handled the same as at home and I have much appreciated this. My young lad and little one are given the highest level of support and I can go to work knowing and trusting my youngsters are in the best possible hands. I strongly endorse Rascal’s in Dunmurry.

She looks forward to going. The discovering approach they use (highscope) has truly improved my daughter’s speech, playing with others, making decisions and identifying objects, she sings childcare centre rhymes by herself at home now! (She is 2 and a half). The team are approachable and attentive. The online access for parents to see what their kid has eaten, what nappies they have produced and a few photos is reassuring and let’s the team do their job without parents ringing up all the time, although they never mind.
I am able to see what she has done from the activity list and talk to her about it at home. The food is remarkable, homemade and portion controlled. Any illnesses or things like headlice etc are quickly controlled. I haven’t a bad word to say. It is clearly a well managed childcare centre. My daughter attends Rascals Carnmoney three times a week and absolutely loves it.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the crew have gone above and beyond to ensure everyone both inside and outside of the building are safe. Keep up the remarkable work we really appreciate it! He has thrived through the care and support from the team and we have also received the same level of assistance from personnel and this has eased our anxiety about leaving him. He continues to grow in confidence and thrive, through My Nursery Pal we get to see the activities he gets up to daily and see photos of him as he plays. Even with all the extra restrictions, the crew have persevered with the same opportunities for discovering and advancement and we have felt our kid has not been hindered in any way. He is now two years old and recently moved rooms. They have created secure bubbles and have reduced the risks to really low levels. My little one has been at Rascals Day Nursery since he was nine months old.

I endorse it without reservation, the team are wonderful. Such a bright coloured early‑years hub filled with fun and laughter and fantastic food. The crew create such a homely wonderful childcare centre. Both my kids were there full time and were so delighted there. A fantastic childcare centre.

Absolutely great nursery setting. Every team member knows every kid by name. All in all this childcare centre is fantastic. From management to room team, they are all truly nice, approachable and are remarkable with all the youngsters. My little one comes home from nursery setting and I notice him saying new words, singing new songs, he learns a lot in childcare centre as the team are exceptionally attentive and have a structure they follow from singing, to reading books to free playtime. The meals provided in the childcare centre are excellent, the little ones get a balanced diet including fruit and vegetables. My young lad never wants to leave when we go to pick him up, which I think says it all.

Thanks so much to everyone who works there. The standard of attention is excellent. Nothing is ever too much for the crew, everyone is kind and really take an invested interest in the little ones that they are caring for! I would enthusiastically endorse the Dunmurry Branch to anyone looking for childcare. I know they are taking excellent attention of my little one, he’s pleased and thriving in their support. I’m a nervous first-time mum and all the girls at Rascals make me feel such at ease.

I have been so impressed with the attention in both Butterflies and Pre-school. My 4year old and 2year old have been attending Rascals for the prior 6 months. I go to work feeling relaxed and assured that they are being well looked after and stimulated. The girls are enthusiastic and encouraging and have helped my boys grow in confidence. I could not advocate Rascals wholeheartedly enough.

As the time to go back to work approached, the stress and worry of who was going to take care of her and who I was going to trust with my baby was a real struggle. I wanted the best and I found the best here at Rascals Day childcare centre. The inviting welcome that my daughter receives here every day, with big smiles, it makes it a very easy transition. I’ve had no teary goodbyes, she absolutely loves it. They have a well-run facility that meets all the needs for my daughter, outstanding updates between parents and providers, spotless and secure setting. All team are inviting and welcoming and I would highly suggest for any age. My daughter has been at Rascals for 6 months now and I can honestly say that it was the best choice of childcare that I found for my daughter who was 7 months old at the time.

My little one has been attending Rascals since she was 9 months, and now moving on to Nursery school. Wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. Lovely home-cooked meals. The personnel from the beginning have all been excellent, truly welcoming and attentive and my little one genuinely had truly close bonds with them. My girl enjoyed every minute of Rascals, I would wholeheartedly suggest to others.

I advocate Rascals to anyone who needs first-class kid support!!!! My other boy has been there nearly 7 years now and adores it. One of my twins is behind where he should be in his milestones but with the help of crew at Rascals he is catching up fast according to expert professionals who are Assessing him. Rascals listened to my concerns and with there journey are helping him get to where he should be. Thanks, folks and keep it up!!! Staff are excellent, kind and approachable. My twins started recently and they enjoy it!

My little one has been there since she was 10 months old, and like any mother, I agonised over leaving her with strangers. The team are so warm and welcoming with the kids and in general just really easy to deal with. My little one adores going there, and at times probably doesn’t want to leave as it is such a fun day for her. I viewed a few nurseries and was so impressed by Rascals I couldn’t even consider anywhere else. I’m writing this as I know sometimes hard work isn’t always acknowledged, and I really feel that all personnel members should know what an remarkable job they do, and both me and my partner really appreciate it. I would have no hesitation recommending Rascals to any parent and I would 100% place any future little ones I may have in their care. I’ve found that they have dealt with any query I had exceptionally efficiently and nothing has been too much bother. Rascals is a fantastic childcare centre.

Our daughter loves going in and waves every time we drive past, with a big smile on her face. Our daughter does lots of daily activities and enjoys the wide variety of healthy and nutritious food. We suggest Rascals Day Childcare centre all the time to people. What a excellent team of team! Thank you for taking such great care of our daughter. The team were incredible during our toilet training efforts. Just a fantastic early‑years hub, I trust all the personnel with my kids and would advocate it to anyone. Both my kids treasure Rascals and always have a good day, my eldest is full of stories of the games they playtime and her friends. Staff are attentive to the individual child’s needs and have no problem implementing parents wishes, pleased to administer prescription medications when required. The food provided is varied and seems to be of good nutritional value, always includes portions of vegetables. Certainly much better than the school meals at my daughters pre-school. Just a brilliant nursery setting, can’t fault it in any way. The educational programme is brilliant and my young lady was well ahead before starting preschool. They provide high-quality flexible care and they offered superb access during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic and continue to be truly flexible. The crew are fantastic. Rascals have great leadership.

She has enjoyed each room she has been in and settled with ease each time. During her period of not attending the early‑years hub (COVID closure), she really missed her friends and the crew, and each week she asked to go to the early‑years hub to see certain crew members. The rooms are excellently maintained and well laid out for a youngster to explore new things and enjoy playtime. There are always fun activities for the little ones to do, and I have noticed her social competences really improve during her time there. My young lady has been attending Rascals for around a year now. I could not endorse this place enough. The updates provided through the app are detailed and provide a clear overview of her day, which really puts the mind at ease. Weather permitting, my girl adores to activities outside, and the outdoor playtime area provides a great space for her to run around and burn off some energy whilst getting some fresh air. This alone shows just how good a job the team do and how well they connect with the little ones.

Nothing was too much trouble. We only moved him as rascals couldn’t offer the PEAG preschool programme. I also felt self‑assured that my little boy was well cared for – the team took time to know and interact with him personally and contact from the nursery setting was extremely good. My little boy was in rascals from 1 year to almost 4. He had a great variety of activities and I enjoyed that meals were prepared in house and were of a truly good standard. Couldn’t suggest this nursery setting enough! We cherished rascals!

In one of the rooms, there was a sick kid being nursed by one of the girls as if the kid were their own and I knew my son would be in secure hands.
My son started when he was 10 months and left when he started school. During this time Rascals were like a second family and the girls were consistently on hand to give advice. My son had some physical problems and needed physio, Rascals had an Occupational Therapist that comes once a month and this greatly improved my son’s movements alongside his own physio. I now have a daughter there and she is coming on leaps and bounds due to the discovering setting at Rascals.
I couldn’t suggest the place enough. I adore that I can keep up to date with my daughter throughout the day with the ‘My childcare centre App.’ I was very anxious about sending my son to childcare centre, so with a heavy heart I went to view Rascals and could not have been more impressed with what I saw.

Thank you. She settled well, and made ‘favourites’ who she still gives cuddles to every time she sees them. No concern was too small, everything was recorded. I cannot suggest Rascals enough. I trust the girls in Rascals, they tell me when she doesn’t eat or sleep or if she isn’t herself. As soon as I walked into Rascals it felt inviting – lots of stimulation from the front door, all of the corridors and in every single room – art work, books and then a board with all of the Rascals team on it to allow you to get to know the faces. Outdoor activities is frequent when the weather is dry. I was truly apprehensive leaving her in a childcare centre. My girl joined at 7 months and every single detail was given the attention that, as a mother, you would want. She eats really well and lots of fruit and veg is on offer. The team are exceptionally approachable and kind and they are fantastic with kids. My little one has been attending rascals for over a year. She has thrived in this environment, they are meticulous in their approach.

The girls are incredible at what they do and I adore getting updates on mynurserypal.com that the childcare centre uses throughout the day, to keep your mind at ease while your kid is in their care. My son loves coming here and loves seeing his friends!

All in all I am so glad that I made the decision to choose this nursery setting and I would wholeheartedly advocate it to anybody. Rascals is such a warm, thrilled, bright, fun and kind place and I am proud to say that my young lad is enrolled at. The variety and quality of food they are offered is brilliant and my little one would now eat anything, and refuses truly little, due to the healthy eating habits he has been discovering in Rascals. My sons activities, nappy changes, medicines given, sleeps, meals and photos can be viewed online and I usually find that within 5 minutes of being upset at being dropped off in the morning, my boy is happily playing away and eating all of his food! His speech, behaviour, exploring, eating habits and social skills have better and developed so much in the year he has been there. All of the girls in each room he has been in are so dedicated and have a lovely way about them and this is reflected in my boy asking for them over and over when we leave! They are like a big delighted family.
