The Anchor Day Nursery & Preschool

The team are welcoming, approachable and extremely lovely people. Overall atmosphere and quality of the childcare centre is incredible. Such a range of things for the kids to do, inside and out. I was so worried about how my kid would settle in, but the team gave me complete self‑assurance that he would be 100% fine and he was. My kid settled in quickly and happily. He loves going into Nursery, he doesn’t even give a second look back at me when leaving, he gets stuck straight in with everyone there. That’s how comfortable and confident he has become! I would highly suggest this Nursery to parents!

In this time his updates and language skills have come on in leaps. He’s settled in quicker than I initially thought that he would and I can see how secure and relaxed he feels with the team. They provide a excellent diverse range of food and activities. The facilities are lovely and have a real home from home sense. As far as value for money, it’s one of the most competitive in the area. The team have been really welcoming and reassuring and have been very flexible with easing into a schedule and very accommodating of our cloth nappies. I would suggest viewing the Anchor if you are looking for a childcare centre in the area. Our little boy has been at The Anchor for 3 months.

They are both been well supported in their development and, most importantly, both adore childcare centre, running in each day and greeting the manager or one of the other team. They have made great friendships and get to spend time with each other as well as separately making friends with peers.
Nursery are supportive of our childs’ speech delay and have implemented various activities into his daily routine to assistance his speech development. They work well with us when potty training and developing other discovering. Staff are consistently cheerful to talk at pick up or drop off.
They have great outdoor space which is suitable for all-weather and they do organised sports once a week. We provide a packed lunch and a dinner to be warmed up which I really appreciate as I know exactly what they are eating and how much and it means we don’t get fussiness when I cook at home! We have 2 kids at Flying Start full time – aged 2.5 and 4 (attended since 12 months old).

The manager and all her team really put my mind at rest that my kid would be cared for and looked after while in this setting. Communication has consistently been excellent, very clear and quick to respond, which I’ve found important. My kid has enjoyed going here and often talks about what he’s done during the day. Also, on days he’s not due to go, he asks if he can go there. So obviously they’re doing something right! Since starting here my kid’s development has come on in leaps and bounds and I can’t thank them all enough for the impact they’ve had on him. They’ve really made a difference in his life and certainly helped form the base for discovering when he eventually goes to school. I wish we didn’t have to leave and I can only hope his next setting is as great as here. Would definitely suggest to anyone looking for an incredible childcare centre for their little ones. After having so many struggles with a previous childcare centre, coming here has been exceptional.

He started at 7 months and they were excellent when he was so little. He is now a walking toddler who strolls right in and loves to see all of his friends and favourite childcare centre workers. They have a excellent relationship with my kid which is seen when he gets there and is cheerful to see them. Really lovely setting and lovely people run this childcare centre. Feel really sad leaving this childcare centre, my son absolutely thrived there.

My little boy absolutely loves it here. He struggles with additional needs, and all team go above and beyond to settle him and include him in every activity, but keeping a beautiful level of discipline at the same time, which he needs. Highly suggest! I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough!

My son has additional needs, dietary requirements and is medicated, and the childcare centre are very accommodating with this. All the team are exceptional, my only complaint is that I can’t bring the team home with me when I pick my son up!

He comes out with new things every day and I am kept well informed of his development. I looked at several nurseries and childminders before visiting A Flying Start and as soon as I walked around, I couldn’t wait to enrol him. I am trying to convince my other half to have another baby just so I can send them here! It has never felt like I am paying for a service, it just literally feels like my son’s extended family. This is an incredible childcare centre and I would not send my son elsewhere – everyone who knows him has commented on how far he has come since attending.

My son has attended The Anchor Day Nursery & Preschool since he was 4 months old. The team have consistently looked after him and made him sense loved and special. Every time I talked to a member of the team, they were giving generous feedback and seemed very open to discussions. I’ve never felt judged. Be assured your kid will thrive in a secure, comforting and exciting setting. Everything feels very tailored and appropriate to the needs of every single kid present in the childcare centre. This setting is by far one of the best I have ever seen! As I am quite familiar with nurseries I had very high expectations.

It was the first place he had been left without friends or family. But the team helped him sense secure and secure so he really enjoyed going. It was lovely to see him learn new skills that will be with him for the rest of his life. Really appreciate everything they have done – would definitely suggest. A Flying Start Nursery went above and beyond to help my shy boy settle in.
