DirectionsThe nursery is based on Longsands College site, round the back of the school. The nursery is in between a blue building on the right and stage works on the left. Best access to the nursery is via Kings road. The nursery is right by the local train station with trains running every 30 minutes to Kings Cross, London. It is also situated only a couple of minutes’ drive from the A1 and the A428 with bus routes into Cambridge. The nursery is just a short walk from the local town and close to all routes for commuters.

Staff are so welcoming, and the advice they give is so supportive.
Management is excellent – any issues, they are cheerful to help.
All team have taken the time to get to know my son and his likes and dislikes.

January 28, 2025 at 5:26 pmMy son has a excellent time there – lots of garden playtime which he loves, the food served is prepared in-house and of a fantastic variety, and my son has come along leaps and bounds in his speech, development and social skills.
The hours are also very welcoming for working parents, and the team are all very compassionate and attentive towards the kids.
Highly suggest. My son has been attending Apricot Day Nursery for the last seven months, and I cannot fault them for anything at all.

My little one has been at Apricot for nearly three months. He absolutely loves his time at childcare centre, and it’s clear that he’s developed some truly special bonds with the team, which as a parent, is so reassuring to see. The team are brilliant at keeping parents up to date with what the kids get up to throughout the day and provide such useful feedback on our son’s development.
We’re so glad we decided to send our little one here – a brilliant team who creates a nurturing and stimulating setting!

February 14, 2025 at 3:03 amHe is truly cheerful there. My 3-year-old has been attending Apricot Nursery, and then preschool since he was 10-months-old. All the team know him, and he knows them. From a young age, he would definitely talk excitedly about them by name, and we are cheerful that he is encouraged in his discovering and well cared for. When we have had to email about things he was struggling with, we’ve been encouraged by the response. Generally, we get great information about what he’s been doing. We would definitely suggest!
However, information is sometimes rather last-minute eg about when he is moving rooms, activities are happening, or when we need to complete funding forms.

February 25, 2025 at 1:04 amMy kid enjoys it so much, is truly cheerful at drop off. The childcare centre is excellent. All the team are extremely welcoming. We are kept well informed on their day through the parent hub, and I sense my kid is being truly well supported throughout their discovering.

March 21, 2025 at 1:14 pmThey are fab with my nearly 3-year-old, from all the different activities they do with the kids, to mealtimes and toilet training. Sunhill Apricot Nursery & Preschool team are incredible; they are not just childcare centre practitioners, they are like family! Handovers are consistently truly descriptive, and updates on the app daily are fab too. I consistently sense at ease dropping my son off. They also looked after my older daughter too, and she loved it there.

March 21, 2025 at 10:51 pmThe team are brilliant, truly engaging and welcoming to the kids, and the activities they put together are truly creative and fun. Both my kids have gone to Apricots Nursery and both loved it. Food allergies are well catered for, and the menu is varied and must be delicious, as my son often has multiple portions! The building looks a bit tired, but the kids don’t see it, and the fantastic team more than make up for it.

My daughter loves the outside area and we adore that they encourage outdoor playtime throughout the session. My daughter has been at Apricots for one year now and truly enjoys going.
The ladies are very welcoming when we drop off in the morning and are cheerful to give us an update on the day when I pick my daughter up.
The only small issue is that sometimes the ladies are very busy and don’t consistently have time to update the app with nappy changes, meals or moments.
Other than that small issue, we are truly cheerful with the childcare centre and hope to carry on into the preschool next year.

They understood how worried I was about leaving him. Feedback at the end of the day about what he has been doing, food, and sleeps – outstanding. I know he enjoys his days at childcare centre as he gets excited when coming in.

She absolutely loves going to childcare centre and I am very comfortable leaving her in their care. The team at Apricots are very welcoming and attentive toward the kids and have excellent relationships with the parents. My only concern is the cost of the childcare centre and the fact that they cannot accept her for school hours setting, but that is not an impact on how excellent the team are.
