Ashby Nursery School & Pre-school Academy

Our son has been attending Ashby Day Nursery since September — although he started at preschool age his progress has been amazing and his confidence has increased massively in that time. We are always greeted with a warm smile and welcome in the mornings and the same in the afternoon at pick up where information is given about our sons day (e.g what he’s eaten, if he’s been to the toilet) this is also updated online daily so we can keep track and see what he’s been up to – this includes activities he may have been doing or the progress he is making/aiming for. We wanted him to feel like nursery/preschool was a home from home and that’s exactly what we get at Ashby Day Nursery, he’s always excited to go in and see his friends and always has a beaming smile when he leaves. We couldn’t have picked a better setting – but we felt that in our guts when we were looking. We were met with quick responses to our enquires and certainly, in these difficult times, we’ve always be reassured.

Our family love this nursery. We have been here for a while now and will be sad to leave to go to school. My daughter loves all of the staff and talks about them at home. They have an App and update the parents with photos and messages on how my daughter is doing. Great security at the nursery and always feel like my daughter is safe there. Assisted with potty training! We also get a plan of what the curriculum is at the nursery so we know what the kids are doing each week. Can’t recommend enough.

We moved to Ashby in July 2020 and we didn’t know anything about the area or the nurseries, I’m super grateful they offered my boy a place, all the girls welcomed him in and they are amazing with him, especially during covid, they have been amazing with everything. Also my son has a few health problems and they are so understanding and so helpful with everything. The nursery as a whole is amazing, I’ll be gutted when my boy leaves next year and so will my boy. They always make sure my son is ok, but also make sure I’m ok. They also do regular learning observations so you can see how you child is getting on.

Both my children attend Ashby Day Nursery and pre-school. It is a very friendly nursery which is efficiently run. All staff are excellent nothing is ever too much bother and they will always go above and beyond. Both my children are always eager to get up and go with no tears when it comes to saying bye at the door. Communication between the staff and parents is second to non providing constant reassurance that my children are in the best hands. We are constantly kept in the loop of upcoming activities, policy changes, and protocols, etc. Can’t recommend the nursery enough

I cannot recommend this wonderful nursery highly enough. Every member of staff looks after the children so well. We have been greeted with a smile and a warm welcome for over 6 years now. It feels like a big family, and everyone gets to know the children extremely well. The staff are always looking for new ways to support the children’s development and the new facilities are fantastic. I would give the staff 10 stars if I could.

I could not be happier with Ashby Pre-school Academy. I have moved my daughter from another nursery in Ashby having had a few problems but I am just so pleased with the way my daughter has settled and the friendly staff at drop off and pick up. They really go the extra mile. Parents evening was a hit and I could tell that my daughter’s key person really knew her well and was genuinely interested in her development and interests. I love their pedagogy, the way it is very much child-led learning! The communication between nursery and home is excellent too, I always know what is going on and what events are coming up soon. Big thumbs up from us!

Really helpful and friendly staff. They really helped my son to settle into nursery and are always accommodating and positive to parents – thank you to all staff that have encouraged my son and supported him to learn, settle and make new friends.

We can not recommend the nursery enough. Since joining the nursery in the summer, our son has developed so much and we can’t believe how much he has progressed being in the environment. The staff are fantastic at noticing likes/dislikes and building engaging activities to enhance their enjoyment. From the start, we felt so comfortable leaving him as we knew he enjoyed being there and would be well looked after by everyone. The staff are absolutely fantastic, polite, engaging and everyone in the nursery goes out of their way to make the children feel welcomed and loved whilst there.

Could not recommend Ashby Nursery School more! The staff are amazing with the children and my son could not be happier there. My son had an allergy when he first started, and it was managed fantastically. I have nothing but praise for the nursery and everyone that works there.

Both of our children have been at the preschool and they have loved it so much. Our eldest child still loves going back to visit the staff when we collect his sister. They have become such important parts of our children’s lives. We would recommend the preschool to everybody, it is such a lovely nurturing environment. Our quiet and shy daughter feels confident enough to share stories and her thoughts and feelings with all of the grown ups who care for her. We will be so sad when she leaves for school, they have become like an extended family!
