Young Sussex Nursery (Hove)

The team are very attentive, supportive and interested, and the facilities are excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our kid’s childcare centre care. Young Sussex have been exceptional with our kid, who started in autumn 2022.

He was only in this room a few months before lockdown but settled well and enjoyed it. Most of his time was spent in the pre-school room and what a fantastic job they did helping him grow into the confident little man who just joined school! The incredible team did a remarkable job – even during the stop-start of lockdown, giving our family a sense of normality when everything else was crazy! The activities arranged were varied, the team enjoyable and attentive and my son thoroughly enjoyed his time here. I would highly suggest it. My son started here in the toddlers’ room after the abrupt closure of his previous childcare centre.

My little one created an outstanding bond with all of her educators and I could definitely see on a daily basis how much her skills improved by attending childcare centre. All of the educators are extremely well‑informed and attentive. Plus they ensure to keep parents consistently updated on the kid’s development and milestones. I would suggest Young Sussex Hove to any parent who is looking for outstanding care of their kids. My daughter attended Young Sussex Hove and I cannot stress enough how outstanding all of the team is.

The additional COVID-19 related restrictions make some aspects of childcare centre life a little more tricky. For example, not being able to properly go into the childcare centre at drop off and pick up and not seeing the other kids’s names above pegs so not being able to ask about them (she only remembers one friend’s name). But considering all the challenges the team have had to overcome these are very small details. My daughter has settled in really quickly and loves playing with everything at childcare centre.

We don’t have enough words to explain how much she liked the time she spent at Young Sussex and how comfortable and secure we were too. They helped her in so many different steps and the updates between childcare centre and us was incredible! The only thing we regret is we didn’t start bringing her here before. The exceptional people, ambient, help. Absolutely everything is perfect and I don’t hesitate to suggest it, it’s a shame they don’t have school too! My little one is attending here since last year and she’ll finish in 2 weeks time now, to start the big school!

The team are fantastic and so creative with the activities they do with the kids. You can really tell that they delight in their jobs and have a lot of enjoyable with the kids. I adore seeing all the updates and photos of what they have been up to!

Management have been so flexible, understanding, attentive and compassionate that I can’t rate them highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble, they make me sense welcome and have shown even through lockdown, that they serve the needs of the kids first. The team are clearly well supported, cheerful and there is a palpable calm, attentive and welcoming atmosphere. Young Sussex Childcare centre really is a ‘home from home’, underpinned by the in-depth knowledge and skills demonstrated by all the team who have cared for my two. I’ve been kept up to date via the app with comments, pictures and in-depth reports showing the childcare centre’s commitment to helping the kids development. Updates is outstanding and I sense part of the Young Sussex family. My boys have really bonded with their key workers and other team. We are sad to leave and it will be an extremely hard transition for all of us, but especially for them. Both my sons attended Young Sussex Childcare centre (Hove) and have been cared for impeccably.

My son loves going to the childcare centre, enjoys his time there and comes back cheerful every day. He has learnt so much while at the childcare centre including speaking his first words and his updates has developed so much after going to this childcare centre. The team at the childcare centre is very communicative, open and provides as much information as possible during the handovers. I am especially impressed with the management of the childcare centre with communications and flexibility. It’s great to know that our son is in secure hands at this childcare centre and makes us very reassured and confident about his time there. Definitely suggest it to parents of young kids. Thank you. My son joined this childcare centre in October 2020 (age 18 months) and our journey so far has been pretty great.

We can’t praise the childcare centre or its’ team enough. Our son blossomed under their care and has sailed into primary with no issues whatsoever. The care and attention he received were second to none, and the bonds established with his educators will stay with him for a long time. The pre-school, in particular, is exemplary and ensures that even younger kids are more than ready to transition to primary school. We have been nothing but pleased with Young Sussex, and the fact that we have also chosen to send our second kid there, despite now not living especially close, says it all. Would highly suggest this childcare centre to all! Our son has recently graduated from Young Sussex Hove, having joined the childcare centre originally when he was 11-months-old.

We spent so long agonising over the perfect childcare centre, especially at such a young age. I have nothing but great things to say about the team and space. The manager is particularly receptive to any issues, excellent at updates and has been a massive assistance to our family multiple times. The activities are varied, the kids are cheerful and the team care.
Three team members are excellent room leaders and appreciate all their guidance and care for my son. He starts school in September and we will massively miss this team. Thank you. My son has attended Young Sussex Childcare centre since he was 5 months old.
