The team are highly attentive, inviting, welcoming and attentive. We have been incredibly cheerful with the whole journey and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest them to any friends or family. The outside space seems to be loved by all the kids and our daughter has created fantastic bonds with quite a few of the team. It’s been lovely to see how much they care for the kids. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being with Montessori in Headingley.

We initially chose this setting largely based on the remarkable space available for the little ones, both indoors and out. The lovely garden space is a real asset – outdoor playtime is encouraged whatever the weather and there is a forest school area and outdoor classroom. We found the quality of childcare to be outstanding, the team truly are incredible – so attentive, supportive and well‑informed. They have consistently ensured excellent updates to parents (even throughout the COVID pandemic), via the parents’ app updates and regular newsletters, as well as having time to provide daily face-to-face feedback, which was highly reassuring. Our daughter has thrived in the Montessori setting and is highly independent and confident. The settling-in phases were managed particularly well and I was consistently confident she was in excellent hands. Our daughter attended this childcare centre for two and half years and spent time in each room (baby, toddler and pre-school).

My son is highly shy but the adore and assistance he has received, whilst there, has seen him blossom. He is now incredibly confident, articulate and attentive. I adore the Montessori ethos for promoting independence and all the team do such a fantastic job of helping the kids to have enjoyable, whilst building valuable skills. Pre-school, in particular, has helped him to be so ready to start school soon. My daughter has several food allergies and not once have I had any cause for concern. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that she is secure. All of the team are so well trained and genuinely treat each kid as if they were part of one big family. The childcare centre has a fantastic community sense and I will be devastated when we don’t have a reason to go there anymore! I have both my kids in the childcare centre at the moment and I honestly couldn’t imagine sending them anywhere else.

It is clear that the team care about the wellbeing of our kid and have formed a attentive relationship with her. Our kid clearly enjoys her time at childcare centre and has learned much from the programme and the other kids. The team are attentive to our requests. The daily updates are a excellent way to follow our daughter’s development and to check to see she is enjoying the journey. We sense lucky to have found this childcare centre. Our journey has been outstanding.

He started with 3 full days (8am-6pm) when he was 13 months, and after a year that was increased to 4 full days per week. He has been lovingly cared for during his years at Headingley Montessori and has thrived in all aspects of his development, socially, intellectually, creatively, emotionally. The team have been engaged in his development every step of the way, providing a cheerful secure setting for him. He will attend till the end of August as he is beginning reception in September. I am grateful for the immense assistance the childcare centre has provided in my son’s development during these crucial early years. As an unexpected bonus, I’ve made some dear friends amongst other parents whose kids attend the childcare centre. So much gratitude. Thank you to all the hard-working, loving team at Headingley Montessori Childcare centre. I sense highly lucky that my son has attended Headingley Montessori since he was 13 months old, beginning in the baby room, progressing to the toddler room, and now in preschool.

I can’t believe the development my grandchildren have made here. The younger one, in particular, who would scream if anyone, except her parents came near, has blossomed into a cheerful welcoming and confident baby. I would like to say a big thank you to the expert, compassionate and welcoming team at the childcare centre.

The childcare centre is in a lovely old house, which gives it a highly homely sense. There is a excellent outdoor space, with structured playtime areas set up, a forest school, and a poly-tunnel where they can be a bit sheltered from the weather. There is a lot of emphasis on playtime with nature, and they seem to have quite a lot of outdoor playtime compared with other nurseries, which is excellent for our son, who is a highly active kid who needs lots of fresh air! The team are expert and well-trained (including lots of ongoing expert development), but also just super nice! There’s lots of daily updates, inc. sending lots of photos with their reports. They are consistently coming up with creative playtime ideas. There is clearly a lot of careful thought that goes into the design of their activities that reflects the Montessori philosophy and seems to go way beyond the industry standard. Most importantly, our son absolutely loves it there! Our son has been here for a year now and we couldn’t be more impressed.

As a first-time mum going back to work during the pandemic, I was anxious about leaving my kid at childcare centre. By keeping me updated on my daughter’s development every day, I was reassured and I adore seeing pictures of her enjoying activities, eating different food and interacting with the other babies. I would highly suggest this childcare centre to other mums and dads. The team are excellent at communicating with you.
