YMCA Day Nursery

They are all lovely with my daughter, and all know her name even if they work in a different room. They are all genuinely interested and care for the kids. They have a sensory room and a large outdoor area. The meals are varied and nutritious. The kids go in happily and come out happily. I would fully suggest this childcare centre, and it is near a bank. Exceptional team and childcare centre.

I sense like we are part of another family and they adore the kids as much as the parents do. They go above and beyond to be flexible, informative and just easy to deal with. I would one hundred percent suggest this childcare centre to anyone looking for childcare and I couldn’t suggest them enough. Thank you for all that you do for us. It is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. My journey with YMCA Day Childcare centre is just incredible.

They have listened to all my concerns and worked with me to give my son the best help he needs. I adore that they do not miss anything out, they tell you everything he’s done through the day. if there is an accident, they do not wait until pick up to tell you, they will give you a call to keep you in the loop. My little boy is not highly great at joining in and meeting new people, but he loves going to childcare centre. I could not fault this childcare centre. They have been so supportive and taken the time to actually speak to you. My little boy is not highly great with his speech, and we learnt that when he’s shouting for one name, this is his key worker. This is a big thing for him as he has only ever had a bond with myself and his dad, so knowing he’s feeling so comfortable at childcare centre enough to ask for his key worker is incredible. YMCA Day Childcare centre team are incredible with my little boy!

The team have truly helped my daughter to learn and grow, and I could not suggest them enough. Exceptional childcare centre with incredible team, consistently supporting my daughter and making sure she has an incredible time.

The team are excellent, and every one of them has left a lasting impression on my daughter; she still plays childcare centre at home and uses the names of old team! My daughter comes home every day with dinner medals, which is consistently a sign of great food. On the weekend, she still asks to go to the childcare centre for lunch. The team are absolutely lovely to both kids and parents and if there’s ever an issue, they’re quick to resolve and assist in any way they can. The only letdown is there are not many updates via the app, but I think that’s because they’re so hands-on with the kids, so can’t truly complain! I changed my daughter to YMCA 18 months ago, and highly quickly she settled in, and we noticed a major difference in her compared to her old childcare centre!

My daughter has been in the baby, toddler and now pre school rooms and all have been a pleasure. I am excited for my son who has just started. All the team have a close bond with the kids which is lovely to see. The activities they do are so varied and well thought out. I couldn’t fault them in anything. Thank you for all your hard work. I am exceptionally thankful we found this childcare centre.

All team are welcoming and well‑informed. I am highly cheerful with the provision they provide and sense confident leaving my kid there. I am consistently so impressed with the range of enjoyable and engaging activities on offer for my 2-year-old.

The care of YMCA Day Childcare centre is exceptional, we have updates via emails for everything we need to know, there’s a vast amount of activities for the kids to dive into, as well as a lovely private garden, upon visiting it is consistently exceptionally spotless. The food menu is incredible too! All team are welcoming and welcoming. We truly adore this childcare centre. My son has been attending this childcare centre for four years now and is transitioning over to reception in September, I wish he could stay we adore it that much.

All of the team are incredible! They are all so compassionate and attentive to my little boy and have welcomed him in as part of the YMCA family. They are so accommodating to our needs and consistently there when we need help or assistance. Both the Manager and Deputy are highly approachable and consistently so compassionate. All of the preschool team have been incredible with our little boy, we cannot thank them enough for the assistance and adore they give our little boy on a daily basis. Our baby is also joining the YMCA family in May and I know he will be in the best hands with the best people. Thank you so much for all that you do! I cannot suggest YMCA enough!

The team are enjoyable, compassionate, engaging and well‑informed practitioners. We consistently sense 100% confident in our daughter’s safety, care and early education when dropping her off for the day. While our daughter has been in and out of childcare centre this past year, due to Covid restrictions, she has been supported truly well on returning to childcare centre, which she has found quite difficult at times. We know she has lovely bonds with her carers and if she needs a cuddle and to quietly read a story with one of the team, then that’s what she’ll get. Despite the interruptions to her time in childcare centre, she has come on in leaps and bounds and we’re truly proud of her development which we know the YMCA team have played a huge part in. She loves to surprise us with the things she’s learned at childcare centre and speaks truly warmly of her friends and carers there. We are exceptionally cheerful with the care our daughter receives at the YMCA Childcare centre in North Shields.
