Woodlands Day Nursery (Barnet)

The team at the day‑care are super welcoming. We are kept abreast with the latest goings- on via email and the utilised web- based platform is a terrific shop for all our updates with daily stats, photos, stories and updates. It’ s consistently a joy to drop off and catch up with the colleagues whom run the day‑care and the same goes with pick up. We have the most marvellous time and trust with our day‑care.

I’ m truly lucky to have a such terrific team looking after my little girl. I. e potty training, slowly trying to get rid of dummies. The team go out of their way to help her and assistance and advise guardians in the way to maybe approach things with a youngster at home. She’ s a delighted girl at the end of each day she leaves the day‑care. She has been progressing so well and development more words each week. The team are loving, attentive and take their time to understand each individual kid and their needs. I sense she is under such outstanding care every time I drop her off, I sense delighted dropping her off. I sense so delighted with everything Woodlands Day Nursery offer myself and my little girl overall.

I’ m looking forward to them being able to take her outside more in the warmer weather. The only thing I’ d truly like to be different is more photo updates of her throughout the day! We get daily photos of the sessions they are doing( the set- up, not of the kids actually doing them), and I’ ve had 2 photos of her reading stories looking delighted. The opening hours are long enough to allow me to commute into town for work. They take wonderful care of her and have even managed to get her to nap( I thought this was going to take a lot longer to achieve). She enjoys the food, the sessions( especially the messy things she wouldn’ t get to do at home!) and the company of the other kids and the team. My little girl, aged 1, attends 3 days a week and seems to have settled in well.

In summary a terrific day‑care with superb team- you will definitely sense at ease leaving your kids here. The team leader in Ladybirds is superb and has provided numerous updates on our little boy’ s progress when hitting milestones and tips on how to manage new siblings at home and interactions etc which we have found extremely useful. When he transitioned over to Ladybirds, we were initially nervous but we soon discovered all key workers in both Caterpillars and Ladybirds share the same ethos and offer a high level of service. Our little boy settled in extremely quickly which is a credit to the Caterpillars team. From the moment we met our little boy’ s key person we felt at ease- the Caterpillars team were warm, attentive and enthusiastic. Like most first time Mum’ s I was extremely nervous about leaving my little boy at day‑care when returning to work.

Woodlands was recommended to us and we, in turn, would suggest it to others. She has made many friends, kids and team. The grounds and team are outstanding and we’ ve consistently felt at ease leaving our kid here on, often, long days. Woodlands Day Nursery has provided a secure and exciting place for our little girl.

Would strongly suggest Woodlands! The handover at the end of the day is truly thorough too. The team are all so lovely and welcoming, plus there consistently seems to be many of them in the room. She’ s much happier at Woodlands than at her previous day‑care and talks about going in each morning. Our little girl started in the youngster room a few weeks back and settled in truly quickly.

It’ s truly lovely to see. The environment truly encourages independence which I able see at home- yesterday at pick up my little girl was eating her fruit snack and she disappeared to wash her hands when she had finished and now helps me tidy away plates after family meals. The team have been a huge assistance in potty training our little girl something I struggled with a young baby at home and we are now fully potty trained. The team work tirelessly and have such passion and enthusiasm for the kids they care for we sense extremely lucky to have them attentive for our little girl every day. She adores the environment which has kindness and care at its heart. After her well thought out settles and a one- to- one chat with her lovely key worker I felt reassured. Our little girl started at Woodlands pre- school in the middle of the Autumn term after just having a baby sibling- lots of change for her having just turned three so I was quite nervous about how she would cope with the transition.

Our little one bonded with her keyworkers, especially in the baby room, so much that she’ s continuously asked for her keyworker to come home with her. The team at the day‑care are lovely too, we’ re consistently kept up to date with sessions they do, food they eat and anything else that’ s important for us to know regarding her development. She’ s made friends, gained new skills and she’ s consistently delighted to go to day‑care. We originally chose this day‑care for small groups and the access to outdoor space. Our little girl started at Woodlands when she was one and we’ ve no regrets.

It’ s a lovely place for kids to grow and develop and I would strongly suggest it to other guardians. As our eldest left to go to school, we quickly realised that the skills he had been developing at day‑care put him in a terrific place to start school which is why we were so keen for our youngest to attend Woodlands also. My boys are reluctant to try new food but they adore the food they receive at day‑care. The sessions are terrific for the kids and they adore the food they are served! There is a terrific vibe to the day‑care, from the reception team to the kids’ s key workers and our boys made marvellous friends that they have maintained even now one has left for school. We found all of the team to be attentive, kind and knowledgeable and my boys truly developed deep relationships with the team when they were there. Both of our sons have gone to Woodlands and they absolutely loved their time there. I might not suggest Woodlands Day Nursery in Barnet strongly enough.

We’ re truly delighted that Woodlands was our daughters and our first time of a day‑care, and we strongly suggest them to anyone! The team have been so useful and understanding when we have needed them to be and are so approachable and lovely. Thanks to the marvellous team at Woodlands, they have helped my little girl learn skills quicker than I ever thought and to help her express herself. She joined not long after turning one and has thrived tremendously over this past year. Woodlands Day Nursery has been a superb first day‑care for my little girl.
