Woodberry Day Nursery (Fawley) Ltd

All the team are so welcoming and nurturing. They all know our son – even those not in his room. All the team have taken so much care with making sure he has settled in smoothly following our move from America and getting to know us as a family.
I suggest Fawley childcare centre to everyone! I was really nervous about sending my son to childcare centre but the changes and developments I’ve seen in him since he started attending are just phenomenal.

We have experienced a number of team transitions and two ownership changes. Despite those taking place, there has been excellent continuity of care provided throughout with a couple of personnel that have been there many years, including the current childcare centre manager. There’s evidence of adaptability and flexibility around each kid’s needs and preferences (e.g. sleep timings, skin care, dietary restrictions, self‑assurance building). The facilities are of great standard with plenty of outdoor space and some flexible indoor options, including a climbing frame room and a sensory room alongside the main rooms split by age group. Daily activities are ample for each room and updates are offered to parents on pick-up and periodically observations are posted via the app. Both of our kids do appear to delight in childcare centre food. The costs have risen over time, but not inconsistent with alternatives. Both of our kids have been attending this setting (eldest from June 2020 and youngest from January 2023).

What I appreciate the most is a very quick updates and response time whenever I have a question either via an e-mail or phone. Incredible outdoor space, rooms full of natural light where babies sense great and can roam comfortably under the watchful eye of their lovely carers.

Our daughter has been so well supported over the last year at Woodberry – she loves everything about her days. She has grown as a person and spends so much time talking about her day, friends and the team. She loves the meals every day and enjoys making us guess about the different food she has had that day. Fantastic journey.

Everyone is so welcoming and we sense like we can ask anything. The updates on the app are exceptional. We are looking forward to our daughter having lots of enjoyable as she spends more time at Woodberry and are really pleased we chose this setting. We have just placed our daughter at Woodberry (Fawley), she was just over 8-months-old when she joined and has never been left with anyone other than us her parents, so understandably we were nervous to know how she would cope, eating, sleeping etc but the team in the under twos room have helped her settle in so well, taking her cues and making sure she sleeps when she needs it, which has amazed us as we thought she would never settle especially so quickly.

Even checking in on parents and working together from home life to childcare centre. The outside space is incredible, the kids have so much room to run around and free flow! All meals are healthy and nutritious and even while in the pandemic they never let standards slip. We have been using Woodberry, Fawley, for about two years now and have consistently found the level of care to be incredible.

My daughter has shown so much excitement and passion for this childcare centre and has learnt so much! Would 100% suggest. I was so worried about sending my one-year-old daughter to a childcare centre as I was going back to work, I wouldn’t change it now for the world.

It was a tricky time due to the pandemic and not being able to go into the nurseries, but when restrictions started to lift we thought we would look around.
Woodberry was the first out of three we were going to look at that day and as soon as we walked through the gates we knew it was going to be perfect for our daughter.
Inside, the baby room is open and spacious – full of light and fresh air. Perfect setting.
The girls are polite and so easy to communicate with, if you need to know anything they are consistently quick to respond with an answer. The app they use is remarkable! Whilst at work I receive updates on how my daughter is getting on which is a excellent comfort.
They teach sign which has been so lovely to be able to communicate with my daughter. Her speech and understanding are incredible and she is not yet 2!
Couldn’t suggest enough. I wasn’t cheerful with my daughter’s previous childcare centre and decided last October to move her.

The development and progression in our kid are incredible to see. Childcare centre team are really attentive for the kids and have done a fantastic job managing the complexities of childcare centre life during the Covid pandemic.

The standards definitely dropped since under new ownership. My kid used to adore going to childcare centre but now he is much more hesitant as he is saying is not as much enjoyable. He also eats less when there as the menu is not as exciting as it used to be for him.
The place itself seems somehow more messy and unloved. Team are attentive and welcoming, but the turnover is quite high. As a result, makes it harder for kids to develop a bond and trust and team do not consistently have sufficient time to truly get to know a kid. As a parent, I’m finding updates regarding team changes challenging. Photos are rarely updated and names are mentioned mostly in passing at pick-up times. That said, most of the team are lovely and my kid speaks very fondly about a few of them. Not bad but not excellent.
