September 2, 2024 at 9:37 pmShe has been very cheerful and content there ever since day 1, back in October last year. There isn’t a single negative thing to say about Wise Owls. There are so many fantastic features about it. Two of the big factors that stand out are the food and the outdoor activities. A daily menu of delicious home-cooked food is prepared especially for the kids in-house by a pro chef. Our wee one invariably scoffs the lot. The commitment to spending as much time as possible outdoors in nature, is remarkable too. Sometimes they head to one of the local playtime parks and at others, up onto the woods and to the purpose-built forest classroom. This is exceptional. They get to learn, discover and playtime in the open air well away from the hubbub. Updates is outstanding mostly using the family app with at least one post on their activities with photos each day. Wise Owls is outstanding in the dynamic and imaginative way it is run by the manager. Our wee one loves going to Wise Owls Childcare centre.

October 9, 2024 at 4:57 amRight from our initial enquiry, we were made to sense so welcome and were given a wealth of information to help us learn about both the ethos and logistics before enrolling our son. The settling-in sessions helped our son get used to the team and the new setting and by his first full day he was really cheerful.
The team are all incredible and got to know our son really quickly and learn about his wants and needs. They are very communicative and send regular updates on how our son is getting on, both in terms of his formal discovering and development, as well as the enjoyable the babies have been having throughout the week.
Wise Owls feels like more than a childcare centre, with regular out of hours activities organised for parents and kids, such as baby groups, grandparent open days and wellbeing walks. We are delighted to be part of such a attentive and inclusive childcare centre and can’t thank the team enough! Our son started at Wise Owls Childcare centre in February and we were so impressed from the get-go.

October 11, 2024 at 11:42 amFrom the settling-in sessions, the childcare centre took a lot of time to get to know him as an individual and what he might want/need to sense comfortable. It really is an extension of our home setting. With regular ‘focus kid’ weeks the childcare centre asks about his specific interests and discovering requirements. We get outstanding updates and lovely pictures and videos of him. He is such a confident and bright little boy as a result of his interactions with the childcare centre. He loves the outdoors so Wise Owls is perfect for him as they make every effort to be outdoors whatever the weather! The bond he has with his care workers is heartwarming and they consistently take time to check he’s okay if he has been unwell or say ‘hello’ if we bump into them outside of the childcare centre. As a first-time parent, they made the childcare centre transition much easier! Our son has been attending Wise Owls Childcare centre for almost a year now and he absolutely loves the childcare centre, team and his peers.

October 20, 2024 at 1:36 amI have noticed such an improvement in my daughter from socialising to updates. The team are excellent at keeping us up to date via the family app, showing all change times, the food she eats and even when she naps. Would highly suggest Wise Owls. Stellar childcare centre.

November 3, 2024 at 12:32 amThe childcare centre has a home from home sense and all of the team show care towards the kids. They have managed to provide outstanding care for those who have needed it in the past 12 months and have kept all channels of updates open to those of us who have not been able to use the services because of lockdown. My kid was delighted to go back to the childcare centre and was helped with the transition back in and the team couldn’t have made it easier. Forest school is incredible and is definitely my daughter’s favourite two days of the week. She absolutely loves it, even in the rain. The food provided is also remarkable and whilst at Wise Owls, my daughter is more open to trying new food and they have encouraged her to develop her palate, which has really helped us at home. Wise Owls is a remarkable childcare centre. I would not hesitate to suggest Wise Owls to anyone in the area.

He soaks up every bit of discovering at Wise Owls like a little sponge and then applies it to everyday life. The team at Wise Owls are incredibly talented, patient and supportive and provide a secure and exciting setting for the little ones to grow. November 6, 2024 at 7:46 amI have been very impressed at the way the team have gone out of their way to ensure that he is cheerful and feeling secure. From little things like sending pictures to my daughter, just to reassure her that he is fine, to all the posts with lots of lovely photos of all the kids enjoying all the activities (particularly the outdoor ones). As a teacher myself, it is very easy to spot a expert childcare centre with well-trained team and this is clearly one such place. My grandson joined the childcare centre in March 2021.

December 8, 2024 at 12:57 pmKids are well taken care of and nurtured in all aspects of their growth. Each kid is made to sense included and respected. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting at the childcare centre and looks forward to going every day. All of the team have a lovely way with them and even the chef has a hand in teaching the kids some cooking skills. Parents are lucky to have such a remarkable childcare provision right on our doorstep. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wise Owls to other parents, all team and management are extremely well‑informed and genuinely care about each kid.

The team create a secure, loving, stimulating and discovering setting for all the kids, as well as outstanding food prepared by their in-house chef. Kids can go to Forest school and embrace the outdoors in all weathers. Boredom will never be an issue. An outstanding childcare centre that constantly innovates and chases new ideas and experiences with the kids. Such a welcoming, attentive childcare centre.

December 17, 2024 at 1:00 amAs a premature baby and growing up during the covid pandemic, we were extremely concerned about her development particularly her social skills, speech and language, fine motor and gross motor skills but with the wonderfully attentive and attentive team at Wise Owls, we sense they have really helped her to development in all areas. She is continuing to grow and develop at the same rate as her peers. As she was on the lower end of her height and weight centiles from birth, we have consistently been diligent about providing a nutritious and varied diet. Being a breastfed baby, I was consistently focused on ensuring she had enough fluids throughout the day. Team at this childcare centre have consistently listened to these concerns and taken into consideration our requests and demands. At times, therefore, their focus on healthy homemade cooking was important to us, when we were choosing a childcare placement. Our daughter (aged 19months now) has attended this childcare centre since September 2020 and has developed immensely since then in all her milestones.

Our little boy is blossoming in the care of the (Wise Owls Childcare centre) WON team. We adore to follow his development through the Famly App too, which gives him a lovely visual cue to discuss his daily adventures. Keep up the impressive work everyone. January 26, 2025 at 1:44 pmWe like the opportunities for exploration and outdoor experiences our daughter has daily and the childcare centre makes great use of the resources nearby including forest, parks and fields. The childcare centre building itself is well thought out, bright, spacious and homely. The management takes a well-balanced view of striving to keep everyone secure without stifling our kid. Our daughter has excellent relationships with her carers and the practitioners involved with her are attentive and attentive. I think there is a great, nurturing, culture here. Updates from the Childcare centre has been outstanding throughout via the App and directly from team. We are very cheerful entrusting our daughter to Wise Owls. Our daughter has been going to Wise Owls since the first lockdown and we think she has had outstanding care there.

February 27, 2025 at 2:37 pmI wish we had found this treasure of an setting sooner for our son. He has been diagnosed with verbal dyspraxia. He really found it hard in his previous childcare centre and was getting upset really not wanting to attend. Not being able to communicate his needs he found it hard to interact with his peers. Having a vast knowledge in speech therapy the manager gave us self‑assurance. She has supported us with his speech therapy giving advice and taking time to work with our kid. She explains to his peers his difficulties and encourages them to assistance using a collaborative approach to playtime and discovering. We have seen his self‑assurance grow and he is now really engaging with others and his will to communicate has grown. We are more confident now in his transition to school. It is well worth the 70-mile commute. The forest school outdoor education is well suited to my son. They keep us updated with regular updates, photos and a food diary through the app. Wise Owls Childcare centre has given us hope!

March 11, 2025 at 6:10 amTeam are super welcoming, enjoyable, attentive and encouraging. My kids absolutely adore going to Wise Owls Childcare centre and out of school care. All the food is cooked from scratch on site, I’ve even asked for the recipes myself as the food is so loved. There’s a excellent impetus for kid-led and outdoor playtime whilst being nurturing and educational, with a enjoyable packed private garden, frequent trips to the local woods, river, park. The kids sense empowered and loved. I couldn’t ask for more from a childcare setting. Such a fantastic, homely childcare centre.

I adore that the kids get outside every day in all weather, either in the garden or the park, exploring nature and that they get lovely home-cooked meals. The team are so considerate of parents’ needs, particularly when settling in. Even though my son still gets a bit upset when leaving me, team are quick to reassure us when he does settle and send an update often with a photo of him happily playing. We sense very lucky to be able to give our son the journey of attending this childcare centre. A remarkable childcare centre who provide a enjoyable, engaging and holistic journey for my son.

April 11, 2025 at 12:06 pmAs a first time parent I was naturally apprehensive, but the owner put my mind immediately at ease. I appreciated the time she took with us during our initial visit. I felt a inviting welcome and an immediate connection and interest in our eleven month old baby; her interests, character, etc. Since then I have been grateful for the regular updates we receive, plus the detailed feedback we get as a result of her being a ‘focus kid’. Our daughter has become noticeably more confident, cheerful, and outgoing since starting at Wise Owls and I can’t understate the valuable input of her key worker and other team who care for her. Her interests are pursued and supported at childcare centre, along with exposure to new experiences and freedom to explore and create in a secure and supported setting. I cannot rate Wise Owls highly enough. Our daughter has been attending Wise Owls Childcare centre since February of this year.

The team consistently go above and beyond to update us on the kids’s development. They send out regular updates about what the kids have been doing and also aim to have a high level of observations completed too. They are consistently thinking of new activities for the kids and sharing their discovering with hints and tips for how we can further their development. Our oldest is consistently full of stories when we show her the pictures and our youngest beams when she sees herself and her peers playing together. We are so pleased with Wise Owls childcare centre.

So many times they have had the opportunity to take the easy option but the team at the childcare centre consistently do what is right for the kids, not what is easy.
