February 18, 2022 at 12:00 amBrilliant nursery. Activities are always ongoing, lovely staff, communication is good and they are accommodating and helpful. Always available to talk to if I have any concerns. The nursery is spacious and clean. Forest school is a definite plus. My son who can have challenging behaviours loves it at nursery.

February 21, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little boy absolutely loves nursery. I couldn’t have picked anywhere better for him. I was so nervous choosing a nursery as he is my first but Whalley Meadows has put me at ease. He always comes home after having an activity-packed day with a big smile on his face.

Love that there is a forest school, which my daughter loves going to.

August 24, 2022 at 12:00 amUnfortunately, our experience of Whalley Meadows is poor, and had my Daughter not been settled having attended since 12 months old, we would have sought alternative arrangements.
Our journey started well but following a change in management, a high staff turnover became apparent. Towards the end of my Daughter’s time at the Nursery, her Key Worker changed 3 times over a 6 month period, which is not ideal during the transitional phase to school.
Communication is minimal and I almost felt that I was a burden asking what my Daughter had done during the day, eaten, etc when I came to collect her.
I complained as to the lack of information provided on the app and was told they only have to provide a minimum of 1 update per week. Expect the bare minimum. Assessments are completed without detail, again I had to press for a detailed one before starting school.
Just Childcare is now holding my deposit (in breach of their own terms) and I will be proceeding with legal action to recover.

September 2, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little girl has been attending part-time at the nursery for the past 7 months. She’s taken a lot of time to settle, mainly due to her own personality and being part-time. However, I can only commend the staff for being consistent and persevering with her. Their friendliness each day for her and making sure she has a fun day has made her get to a point where she enjoys being there and drop-offs are much easier now.
I feel comfortable leaving my little girl in their care and the setting is inviting.
The only thing I would like is more about what she’s done in the day, in terms of learning/activities.

October 6, 2022 at 12:00 amMy 1-year-old daughter quickly changed from crying when I dropped her to putting her arms out to go to whoever was there to greet us, showing how much she loves and trusts the staff. The nursery itself is small and lovely and she’s full and shattered when I collect her, showing she has had the best day. Cannot praise this place more or rate it higher.

It’s got a wonderfully warm environment for children to grow and learn also the meals that are provided for the children are fabulous, my son absolutely loves them. I honestly couldn’t wish for a better place for my son and can’t recommend Whalley Meadows highly enough.

January 27, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter loves going to Whalley Meadows. She has really progressed since starting last year. The staff in her room are always very friendly and have a great relationship with our daughter. When she arrives she holds her arms out to her keyworker and is at ease straight away. She enjoys the food she eats at nursery, and has a varied diet there. She certainly tries more food at nursery than she does at home! She is starting a new room very soon, and I am certain she will love it just as much as she does now!

The staff are all friendly and know all the children’s names, even when they’re not in the same room as them. My son does a wide range of activities at nursery and always goes in fine. He’s recently moved up to another room and the transition period has been great. He’s really benefited from a slow introduction to the room and we are so happy we picked Whalley Meadows.

January 30, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at Whalley Meadows now since September and I have never known her to be so happy. This is the third nursery she’s been to and it is by far the best. The staff are amazing and incredibly caring. She has grown in confidence and her development over the last four months is incredible. The communication is excellent and I never get mum guilt dropping her off every day as I know she has the absolute best time! I almost don’t want her to grow up as I don’t want her to leave!

August 3, 2023 at 12:00 amOur little boy is currently in the baby room and absolutely loves it. The staff who are caring for him are wonderful and a blessing to both the babies and parents. The activities they complete are different to what we do at home and I have seen him develop through the time spent at nursery with the staff and other children. At the end of each day, the staff in the room are all able to share what has happened that day in terms of what has been eaten and nap times as well as activities they’ve done. I feel so happy leaving him in their care here as I know he is happy and well looked after.

August 9, 2023 at 12:00 amAbsolutely delighted with Whalley Meadows Nursery. Our son started when he was 1 year old, he settled in very quickly and gets so excited when we pull up outside. His confidence and character have really started to shine. It is very clear that he has a warm and trusting relationship with the ladies at the nursery who take care of him. It was such a huge decision where to send our child and I’m so happy and thankful that we chose such a wonderful environment. Needless to say, we would highly recommend it.

The staff always let us know about her day for example how much off she has had and if there were any activities that morning and make sure our daughter feels safe and well looked after.

August 25, 2023 at 12:00 amMy grandson was a very nervous little boy when he first started at Whalley Meadows. The care and love he’s been given have helped him grow into the funny, cheeky little man he’s become. He loves coming to nursery and loves the staff too.
He loves going to forest school. Thank you all for helping him grow in confidence.

My son has been through all parts of the nursery rooms and especially loves the extra Forest School aspect. His growth in confidence and his abilities is down to a huge influence on the nursery. All the team go above and beyond for him.
My daughter was very nervous about starting nursery and it would be stressful for us as parents seeing her upset. This did not last long and the nursery room team were amazing at easing her anxiety and ours as parents. She is like a different child now and gets so excited to go everyday. She has also shown so much growth since attending and I look forward to her continuing journey with the Whalley Meadows team.

August 25, 2023 at 12:00 amAmazing and friendly staff. The range of activities and learning through play that’s on offer to all the children is incredible. I’ve seen a huge improvement in my daughter’s development and it’s all down to the fantastic ladies that look after her. I highly recommend it.
