Our kids’s key workers are phenomenal – but every member of team knows so much about them, their needs and interests. They listen to how we want to parent and assistance us in helping our kids understand and value the things that matter to us as a family. The activities, resources and projects are well-planned and consistently enjoyable! We trust West Downs and if you are reading this review you should too! West Downs is everything we could have asked for in a childcare centre.

September 11, 2024 at 5:35 pmShe was 14 months old at the time and after the first two weeks, my daughter started to demonstrate she was cheerful going there and showed trust in the Caterpillar team leader. Her settlement was very quick. The whole team, including the admin, have been incredible, all very attentive to my kid’s needs. The updates with them is outstanding. They made me sense she was in great hands. They have a great variety of activities to develop them as well. I adore that we are able to access the rooms to drop off and pick up the kid and actually see what they are doing. My daughter adores going there. I highly suggest the Childcare centre, they are doing a excellent job at West Dawns. Within two months my daughter had to settle in two different nurseries (West Downs being the second one) and I was worried about it.

September 20, 2024 at 5:22 pmOur son has attended since age one and is now in the preschool class. At every stage they have been compassionate, nurturing and skilled. During his time at West Downs, he was diagnosed with an anaphylactic nut allergy. The whole team have been exceptional with this. The team have robust policies in place and are well trained. I sense secure leaving my son in their care. My son did move up to the preschool room quite quickly and unfortunately was separated from his friendship group for eight months. I can see that it must be difficult juggling numbers in a large childcare centre but he did find this challenging. Despite this the preschool team he moved to were exceptional at welcoming and settling him with lots of ideas as to how to help him with the transition. I was very impressed. West Downs is an outstanding childcare centre.

I also appreciate that the childcare centre is very well-run administratively – they are quick to respond to messages and very supportive with funding forms and family emergencies. Excellent assistance all-round! We have had a fantastic journey at West Downs Day Childcare centre who have cared for both of our boys over the last four years.

They have consistently listened and fulfilled any wishes we had and would help us with any questions when asking for help/advice. My daughter loves childcare centre and looks forward to attending each day. She has so much enjoyable and gets to spend lots of time outside. We will all miss my daughter coming when she goes to school in September. West Downs Day Childcare centre has been incredible for our daughter.

Food is second to none and very healthy with a excellent variety of flavours and textures.
Admin are consistently welcoming and quick to respond.

It feels inviting and welcoming and there is a lovely wooded area. Our son is consistently eager to get there and has to be pulled away from the toys. I’d thoroughly suggest it. Our son has a excellent time at West Downs Day Childcare centre.

They recreate the home routine as much as possible and assistance us in reaching milestones. Every body is very welcoming and have a relaxed but ‘can do’ attitude. He is consistently cheerful to see them. Our baby loves going to the childcare centre and all the team already know him well despite coming only one day a week.

We are so cheerful with all the help and assistance that we had from the lovely team, everyone was so attentive and provided expert advice while we were planning a big move. January 20, 2025 at 1:57 pmExcellent outdoor space and a broad range of activities for kids to engage with including sand pits, a mud kitchen and a forest area. Indoors there are plenty of books for quiet time and prompts for imaginative playtime. The team think up engaging and interesting activities to provide discovering. As a parent, I sense welcomed and supported and am given regular updates on what my kid has been doing. I would definitely suggest West Downs Day Childcare centre. Welcoming and supportive setting with well-trained team.

January 24, 2025 at 8:34 pmThe continuity of care has been outstanding, even throughout lockdown she was cared for by team she knew and was comfortable and confident with. The activities she does at childcare centre keep her interested and enthusiastic to learn new things. She is well catered for with her food allergies and loves it when the chef does baking activities that she can join in. The team in her room are so compassionate and attentive, we are consistently cheerful to leave her with them. Thank you for taking such great care of her, we cannot suggest the childcare centre enough. West Downs Day Childcare centre has cared for my daughter so well since she was one.

We also adore the extra events and things they put on for the whole family. West Downs has been really excellent since our little boy moved here three months ago.

April 14, 2025 at 5:25 amWe credit much of her development and self‑assurance to the Caterpillar and Ladybird teams who are attentive, attentive, and well‑informed. We were anxious first-time parents enrolling our kid into the childcare centre earlier than we had hoped but were quickly made to sense comfortable leaving her in their care. Our daughter enters and leaves her room with a smile on her face every day. Our daughter has been attending West Downs Day Childcare centre since she was 5 months old and has absolutely thrived in her time there.

So many activities for the kids to get involved with but by far my son’s favourite is the garden with the many different areas to explore there. We have found it such a great place for our eldest that we are booking a place for our youngest too! A excellent supportive childcare centre that my son loves to attend.
