September 19, 2024 at 3:00 pmWentwood House has been remarkable. Our daughter has been part-time since 9 months old and has continued until she is school age. She has loved her time there and has made some excellent bonds with the team and the other kids, very much enjoying the activities and setting, especially the outdoor forest space.
We have been very cheerful with the development she has made and the focus and structure tailored to her. Wentwood has also been excellent in accommodating her dietary requirements. All the team and her key worker have been outstanding. She will be very sorry to leave. Thanks, Wentwood! Highly recommended.

October 17, 2024 at 7:01 amThe manager runs a tight ship and I sense he provides excellent leadership for the team of team; the changes he has introduced show a thorough and considered approach to managing the childcare centre. The team are all very inviting and welcoming; they are consistently receptive to hearing your thoughts and really work hard to meet any specific requirements. The forest area, garden and rooms inside the childcare centre provide a varied setting and the team generate lots of ideas for activities. The overall sense is that the childcare centre provides a secure and nurturing setting. Our kids have benefitted hugely from their time at the childcare centre. I can’t praise the childcare centre enough – both my kids have been very cheerful here.

My little one has thrived since being in pre school and his bond with all of the team is so strong. They make sure that they fulfil all of his needs and work closely with the parents regarding next steps. The parent relationships are great and they consistently give a thorough hand over at the end of the day. We would highly recommended Wentwood, my little boy started from 9 months old and has loved childcare centre!

October 20, 2024 at 12:19 pmThey really went the extra mile when settling our son in and were receptive to our input and proactive to help. We were flabbergasted that he settled so quickly, we thought it was going to be tough especially with the pandemic. Two members of team make a great, strong leadership team and our son is fond of all the team, especially one member of team in particular. Its relatively small size lends itself to having such a nurturing ethos and it has proved to be a very positive and stable setting for our son and we are very cheerful with his development! The outside spaces are also a real asset to the childcare centre. We would not hesitate in recommending Wentwood House Day Childcare centre! Wentwood House Day Childcare centre is just so lovely and supportive!

October 31, 2024 at 12:34 pmHe has attended the childcare centre since we moved to Fleet over a year ago and his progression has been incredible. The childcare centre has changed and developed since my son started and has an outstanding array of activities for him to participate in. I get detailed feedback each day on how he has been and what he has been doing and I have not once picked up an unhappy kid! Even on the weekends, he is keen to go to childcare centre as he enjoys his time so much. The team are fabulous and so super attentive about all the kids there and you can tell they all adore what they do. Wentwood has provided outstanding care for all kids who decided to return during a global pandemic and they have been incredible with making sure they adhere to government guidelines whilst making it sense as normal as possible to both the kids and the parents. Thank you for looking after my son so well and if I have more kids in the future, they’ll be going here too! Wentwood House Day Childcare centre has been perfect for my son.

He is consistently smiling and is cheerful on drop off and collection “that says it all”. Thank you Wentwood House for ensuring our son is ready to move on to school and getting him prepared for this next journey. The team at Wentwood House have been very supportive during this past year.

December 7, 2024 at 5:32 pmIt was a breath of fresh air from their previous childcare centre. All the team are lovely and really do care for the kids. The kids are consistently doing baking and crafts. They adore the forest area and garden. The management is outstanding and consistently keeps us informed. Also, the childcare centre has been really supportive with the occasional time I need to be flexible with days due to shift work. I would highly suggest Wentwood. My kids have attended Wentwood House Day Childcare centre for 18 months now and they adore it.

December 16, 2024 at 2:30 amWhile there are a core number of team who strive to provide a remarkable setting and journey, the extremely high level of team turnover meant a lack of continuity and also when concerns were raised these seemed to be brushed under the carpet or ignored by the owners, who seemed increasingly distant in giving positive assistance to team and management. Despite the issues faced, fees rose each year while standards reduced to the point where issues raised in the recent Ofsted report confirmed the feelings of numerous parents and the downgrading is a very fair and accurate reflection of the current situation. Having had 2 kids attend the childcare centre over the last 4 years, unfortunately, standards have slipped considerably over that time to the point where we recently moved our younger kid to a pre-school (our elder kid is now at school).

December 27, 2024 at 7:10 amAll team now have an incredible relationship with my daughter and all our drop-offs and pick-ups are greeted with a cheerful smile and a funny story of what she did that day. Hand-overs are thorough and all adults have a genuine interest in my kid’s activities outside of childcare centre as well as in childcare centre.
The only negative to Wentwood Childcare centre is the car park ‘wars’ as it is used by the much larger sister childcare centre next door. Getting a car park space is at your own peril! I have used Wentwood Childcare centre for a total of seven years for different kids and can honestly say that we have never received as great a service as we have in the past three years (since the latest management change).

Our self‑assurance in Wentwood grew through observing our kid’s enthusiastic attitude in attending as well as seeing her development in development which we noticed at home. It was such a pleasure having our daughter attend Wentwood House Day Childcare centre.

The team are remarkable and are really invested in each and every kid. My son started at Wentwood House Day Childcare centre during the first lockdown, it could have been a really difficult transition for him due to the restrictions in place when dropping off.
The team were incredible and he barely even got upset when handing him over in the morning!

March 6, 2025 at 3:46 amWith the new management in place the standards have raised rapidly and significantly – really night and day change. We were on the verge of withdrawing our kid but gave the new team a chance having met them and heard them out with regards to their future planning – and haven’t been let down.
Our kid is extremely cheerful here, she loves the forest and all the activities they complete on a daily basis, her development has been remarkable (staggering in fact) and this demonstrates the value of having a great team, with a detailed plan, managed with passion.
As with a lot of settings, ownership is key and Wentwood could do with a little TLC in terms of investment; I have no doubt this would be invested wisely with the current management team. Previous reviews are accurate, the childcare centre suffered from poor management but has since seen stability in this respect and for what is now a prolonged period.

March 10, 2025 at 2:22 amI found it really hard when I was faced with having to put my daughter into childcare centre, the thought of someone else looking after my kid was scary and hard. However, when I went and looked at a few nurseries I knew Wentwood House was perfect for my little girl! The manager and team there were so welcoming and welcoming, the childcare centre itself just has a cheerful vibe and it’s spotless, secure and well presented. I was given a excellent tour and I knew I’d be choosing this childcare centre straight away. Since my daughter has started, we’ve noticed it’s had such a excellent impact on her! Not only has her speech come on leaps and bounds, she’s made friends, is confident with the other adults there and we can see she loves being there. The team are incredible and we couldn’t thank them enough for all of their efforts. They go above and beyond to care for our kid and meet her specific needs. The food she eats there is excellent and she’s well fed! Very cheerful with this childcare centre. Wentwood House childcare centre is just incredible!

April 19, 2025 at 10:39 amWe chose this but had no end of problems with them and eventually decided to remove our daughter from the childcare centre. One incident that occurred we really should have contacted Ofsted but I don’t like to complain. After several further less serious issues, coupled with the fact that our daughter used to scream and shake at even going into the childcare centre in the mornings, we decided to move her to another local childcare centre (which I will add that she now really enjoys). During our two years at Wentwood House, the team changes were ridiculous, higher than I would have expected and know of in other nurseries. There is an abundance of nurseries to choose from in Fleet/Church Crookham.

The activities that are arranged for my kid are first rate and I am confident he is getting a excellent education.
The management team are extremely effective and understanding.
I consistently sense I can talk to them about my kid’s development.

May 18, 2025 at 11:47 pmIn a short period of time, the new team turned the childcare centre into a more energetic and uplifting setting that you noticed at the door. It’s testament to the hard work of the team by achieving a “Great” in the last Ofsted driven by the changes they swiftly implemented. We now have a monthly development plan for our kid that supports their discovering. There isn’t a day when our little one doesn’t come out all smiles and keen to return the next day. The amount of activities they do in a day is varied and summarised well for all parents to see.
During Covid-19 lockdown, we found it a lovely gesture for the manager to reach out to us and all families to see how we were doing and also sharing home discovering tips.
It’s been fantastic to see Wentwood’s transformation through the changes and see our kid develop and grow. Our kid has been at Wentwood since August 2018 and it is fair to say the childcare centre has improved significantly with the current management team that arrived a year ago.

June 5, 2025 at 10:04 amI couldn’t be prouder of the boy my little man has become and this is in majority thanks to Wentwood House.
Even with the not-so-important stuff like administration they couldn’t be more supportive, they guided us through the tax-free kid care along with 30 free hours at the relevant times etc.
I am looking forward to sending my second kid there in due course. Honestly, one of the best settings I have come across, incredible people, these guys helped my kid’s development more than I could ever explain.
