Wendover Day Nursery

The activities are truly varied and they have lots of outside time so we know she has lots of fresh air during the day. My daughter absolutely loves going to childcare centre three days a week, everyone takes such great care of her and she has a lovely relationship with all of the team. Her language has come on so well since starting two months ago. We are kept up to date with her day to day activities truly well on the app.

They have had a number of great educators and managers leave and now it is absolutely horrible. A year ago this childcare centre was incredible. I would definitely not suggest sending your kid here. My son comes home filthy and with scratches and injuries. They do not keep kids secure and do not even abide by the basic Ofsted requirements, as evidenced by the recent report.

We had looked around a few places and we loved the sense of Wendover Day Nursery, the big bright rooms, natural resources and most importantly the big garden! Choosing a childcare centre for your kid is such a big decision. It was a bit of a leap of faith going to a brand new childcare centre, but we’ve been there since the very beginning and not regretted it one bit. Being a lockdown baby, it took a while for my daughter to settle in but the team have been brilliant and so attentive, both to me and my daughter! I truly struggled at the beginning, leaving my daughter with someone else as she’d never been left with anyone before, not even family. But the childcare centre team acknowledged this, sending me additional updates and photos of my cheerful little girl throughout the day. The activities have all been excellent, and the team truly focus on the interests of each kid. We also receive newsletters and different activity suggestions which are truly supportive too. Would 100% suggest!

She looks forward to going every time. My daughter has just moved up to the toddler room and is doing brilliantly. Her speech has come along truly well since moving up. The girls who look after her are all lovely.

The facilities are incredible – bright, spacious, interactive and with an incredible garden, which we knew our son would definitely adore. We were slightly nervous about sending our son to a new childcare centre, especially when he was very cheerful and making great progress at his previous childcare centre, but the team looking after him have been so warm and lovely that he formed very strong bonds with them very quickly and talks about them all the time at home! As parents, we find the app that keeps us updated throughout the day very informative and reassuring, and on the one occasion I phoned the childcare centre to check our son was ok, they added extra updates and photos to reassure me. Overall, we are very cheerful with the childcare centre and would definitely suggest it.

None of them compared to Wendover Day Nursery in terms of the facilities, the expansive outdoor space and welcoming nature of the team. We visited quite a few nurseries before choosing one for our daughter. It was an easy choice.
When it came to her starting, it was a wrench for me as I’d never left her for so long before and I found it tough. The team were all so comforting during her settling in, answering all of my questions with kindness. They just made the whole process so much easier. Now she absolutely loves going to childcare centre, she often doesn’t want to leave again in the evening. She’s come on so much in all areas and I genuinely sense cheerful now when I drop her off as I know she’s going to have a excellent day every time.

The childcare centre offered generous time for settling in and they have been incredibly welcoming and attentive towards my daughter. Never in a million years did I think my clingy lockdown baby would definitely settle into childcare centre so easily! She toddles in in the mornings, no problem. The rooms and outdoor space are lovely, calm but stimulating environments, all created with the kids in mind. I like the detail on the Famly app they use as I consistently know exactly how long she has slept for and what she has eaten. And speaking of food – I sense pretty jealous when I read her menu each day. Days are filled with messy activities and lots of outdoor time. My daughter has quickly warmed to the team and I trust them entirely. I can go to work relaxed. It was a gamble choosing a brand new childcare centre with no reputation but I have only great things to say and sense we made the right decision.

In the last few months alone her speech and imagination has come on so much. Our daughter has been going here since it opened, and we couldn’t be happier with how she has come on in this time. The childcare centre provides so many opportunities for her to explore what she is comfortable with.
In recent months she’s been on a school trip to the zoo and loved all activities during space week. Thank you for another fantastic year, helping our daughter.
