October 13, 2016 at 12:00 amMy son, who is 2 yrs 3 months has been at the nursery since January of this year. He attends one and a half days a week. I went to view four other nurseries prior to deciding upon Well Place Nursery. In my dealings with the nursery, I have experienced nothing but the professional, kind and friendly staff, from the carers, management and the lovely Chef!
My son has allergies and had some health issues earlier this year and I have felt confident in the nurseries attention to these matters.
He adores attending the nursery and runs to the car in excitement at the mention of it. He often talks about the staff and other children at the nursery when he is not there. I feel happy that the carers take special care and attention with my son and there is a genuine feeling that they all truly love working with kids. I am really happy with his progress and there is a broad range of activities to occupy him. There is a really generous outdoor space at the nursery, which he benefits from, including some guinea pigs!
Highly recommend.

March 23, 2017 at 12:00 amI have two children, 13 and 35 months. Both have attended since they were 11 months old and I’ve been delighted with the care and attention they receive. Both children really enjoy the time they spend there, our eldest always talking excitedly about preschool and all the staff genuinely care about the children.
They make excellent use of their rural setting with muddy explorers, regular outdoor walks often seeing cows and sheep on the way. The in-house cook prepares an excellent range of meals and snacks and knows the children by name.
All the children are polite and courteous showing respect to each other. After having my second child, nursery offered to adjust the hours my eldest attended so that I could recover and look after my newborn. The staff have also been a welcome source of advice and experience and work with us to ensure that my children have had a consistent approach.
I love reading the online learning journal entries. I have no hesitation in recommending Well Place.

March 30, 2017 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been attending Well Place for the past 10 months since she was 8 months old and we could not be happier with our choice of nursery.
The location is great – away from busy roads with an easy access to country walks which they take advantage of very often.
Healthy cooked meals.
Independent nursery with an individual approach to each child.
Very kind, caring, accommodating staff, they made the dreaded settling in process as comfortable for me and my daughter as possible.
My daughter loves going to nursery, which I can tell by the way she gets excited when we arrive. She has a very strong bond with her key worker and it makes it a lot easier for me to leave her, knowing that she will be just fine.
Her development is very well noted and encouraged. I always get a detailed description of the things she did during the day. I can highly recommend Well Place and I am really happy that we found it.

April 3, 2017 at 12:00 amThis nursery is spectacular both in its staff and its settings. The team have been excellent for my two children who currently attend, so much so that our third child is already on their books to attend.
The nursery staff are caring and affectionate and the pre-school team and structures are really teaching our eldest child so much. They have science days, a yoga/exercise day, cooking skills, messy play day, the list of stimulating activities is endless.
And to cap it all off, there’s a fabulous grassy outside play area for exploring and running in, a playground area for quicker bursts of energy and access to fantastic rural country walks on proper farmland.
I talk to our parenting friends who are using other nurseries across Kent and Sussex (some of which are attached to very expensive private schools) and none of them come close to what Well Place offers our family.
Thank you Well Place. Keep up the great work.

April 4, 2017 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at Well Place since she was 7 months old. She has thrived there. The staff are really wonderful and care for both my daughter and the rest of the family too. I can always call up to check she is ok. It is truly a home away from home and her development has been supported by excellent key workers. The messy play is fabulous too!!

May 19, 2017 at 12:00 amWell Place is a beautiful nursery in a stunning location. Care is of upmost importance and the child’s needs are put first. They work around the child rather than forcing them into a strict routine which we love. The baby and toddlers are encouraged to socialise and because of it come on leaps and bounds. All the nursery staff are friendly and excellent at their jobs. I can’t sing the praises of the nursery high enough!

November 19, 2019 at 12:00 amMy child has recently joined the nursery and with support of his wonderful key workers and being immersed in such a beautiful setting, he is doing fantastically well. The nursery is calm but has so much for him to do, both inside and outside in the grounds of Penshurst Place Estate. I am so pleased we were able to join.

November 19, 2019 at 12:00 amWell Place is a wonderful nursery with super helpful and friendly staff that make it feel like a big family. The range of activities is great and so are the outdoor activities and access to the local countryside.

November 21, 2019 at 12:00 amOur son loves the Pre-school at Well Place. The staff are nurturing, supportive and very experienced. The setting is homely and based in the grounds of the Penshurst estate and they have an outdoor woodland area. The team are passionate about early learning and activities include phonics, science, yoga and cooking. Well Place also hosts a sports day in the summer and a Christmas performance/ party. They use Tapestry which keeps us updated on what our son is doing whilst he is there which is lovely to see. They even do things like going to the farm to see the sheep being sheared at Easter. Our son has allergies and the chef is very accommodating of this. Most importantly the team have a great ethos of kindness and are understanding of the challenges that young families have with toddlers, especially the lovely manager.

November 25, 2019 at 12:00 amI was really worried about sending my little girl to nursery, but we visited Well Place and spent time on settle days and now my little girl has been at Well Place for nearly two years, she loves it and the placement is perfect, set in the country, lots of outdoor space, the care they give to each and every child is outstanding.
Amazing nursery with preschool.

November 25, 2019 at 12:00 amBoth my daughters have been attending Well Place since they were 12 months old and overall I have been very happy with the care they have had. The staff are all excellent, with a relatively low turnover, and they are genuinely interested in each child, tailoring activities to them and asking parents for information on likes/ dislikes. They have a large range of different activities and creative ways to make learning fun. There’s a large outdoor grassy area and also a yard for the kids to play outside. The large amount of outdoor space and the rural location was one of the major factors in choosing Well Place and the staff encourage the children to be outside come rain or shine. It’s not the most state of the art, high tech nursery compared to some others in Tunbridge Wells that have had more investment but I truly believe that this doesn’t matter at this age and that my children feeling safe and well looked after is of much greater importance.

December 20, 2019 at 12:00 amWe have 2 children at Well Place, both of whom are very happy. All the staff are so friendly and really do know the children very well. The home-cooked meals are always eaten and the menu is varied. Parents are asked to suggest meal ideas too, which demonstrates just one of the ways the nursery tries to engage parents. We receive regular, detailed updates on tapestry on the activities and learning goals the children do and reach. We particularly like the outdoors space and the staff take children out for walks around the estate all the time (seeing many animals in the surrounding fields)!
