University Nursery at Edwinstowe Close (Cambridge)

We truly like how the childcare centre designs the education program and consistently keeps the kids busy and discovering new things that expand their knowledge. We are extremely cheerful with the childcare centre and the way our kid feels about it. There are plenty of activities and games where they learn while playing and the atmosphere is consistently welcoming and joyful.

He is very cheerful there. Our son has been there for almost three years now. He has formed very great relationships with the carers there. He is also making lots of friends with other kids. It feels like he is given space to be himself whilst being given opportunities to explore different things.
The communication with team is great. As is the food which caters for a wide range of requirements. The building feels secure. It is a welcoming place with lots of colour. I like the charity initiatives. The team seem to care a lot, for example, when our son’s younger brother was born carers from his previous rooms came to congratulate him. Also, one day there was an ad hoc puppet show with kids from different rooms. The team are also very conscientious about kid safety without being overbearing. Having recently visited a few other nurseries I notice the friendliness, colour and that is also quite noisy (I see that as a great thing!). We will send our younger kid there.

My daughter joined when I returned to work and she was 8 months old. We adore this childcare centre! I saw her grow and thrive thanks to all the loving care and skills of the team at Edwinstowe. She has been supported to learn and make friends. She is confident and curious about the world, thanks to this childcare centre. Beyond the team, the food and facilities and communication with parents are best in class. We will miss this community.

As frustrating as it can often be, the childcare centre follows their policies very closely and ensure that the health and well-being of all kids are at the forefront of their daily practice. We could not be more pleased with the childcare centre and the care and assistance they provide to our kid who is in their third class at Edwinstowe. Both of our kids attended the childcare centre, the eldest recently leaving to start reception class. Edwinstowe assisted in ensuring that they were very prepared for the next step. In short, I would definitely not want to send my kid anywhere else.

I have to prize him away from toys and friends at the end of the day and he eats better than me! My son loves the childcare centre and has formed a lovely connection with the team.
It is very reassuring to be able to drop him off and not think about him all day so I can switch my work brain on.

We have never felt that our kid is just one of many kids there and instead sense that her carers truly do know and adore her. We are very impressed with the care that our daughter is receiving at University Nursery at Edwinstowe Close. (This is in contrast to some of the experiences that our friends have had at other nurseries in Cambridge, particularly regarding very young kids.) Our daughter is very close with her key worker and everybody else in her room. She receives well-rounded care that is helping her to grow and develop in the ways that we would definitely hope. Her communication skills and confidence have come on leaps and bounds since being at the childcare centre. We could not suggest Edwinstowe enough and are so grateful to all of the team there.

We have been so grateful for the kind care, assistance and attention to our son and impressed by the quality of discovering, playtime and especially the food. Our son has been at the childcare centre part time from 6 months and full time from 13 months. He loves going and we are confident he is in secure hands.

The preschool team is highly competent and attentive. The childcare centre provides an extraordinary setting for kids’s development. They helped our kid to gain confidence and develop communication skills. Our kid enjoys their time at the childcare centre. We, as parents, sense the childcare centre hits the right balance between discovering and playing and fosters creativity and imagination in our kid. It is fantastic to see the childcare centre doing out-of-the-box activities, such as yoga, french lessons and hosting ducklings.

They are incredibly dedicated to each individual kid. Our young daughter (9 months old) has been at Edwinstowe Close for the past three months and we could not be happier about the team at the childcare centre, their facilities and the general set-up at Edwinstowe. Our daughter seems very cheerful herself there, particularly with her key worker whom she loves spending time with.
