Townsend Montessori Nursery Herne Bay

My son has attended the nursery for two years. The care and support he has received, and us too as newly adoptive parents, has been invaluable. We will never be able to thank the team enough for encouraging, supporting and developing our baby into the extraordinary little person he is today.

The staff are amazing, their support and patience are totally appreciated at things like drop off and I know my child is cared for and taught new things every day. The facilities are great and the outdoor space is such an added bonus

My son has recently started at the nursery and has underlying physical health issues along with attachment/developmental delays. The staff at the nursery have been absolutely amazing I cannot fault the care that has been provided to him so far. They have taken time to understand his every need and areas of development they can help support with and have actioned this straight away, communication with us as parents we cannot fault and we are so pleased we made the decision to change his nursery to Townsend Montessori as already he has shown an improvement surrounding his development and attachments.

Staff are lovely, responsive to my baby’s needs and he has settled quickly. I was pleased that many of the staff are familiar from when my older two attended the setting last year and felt very comfortable leaving my baby in their care.

I am extremely happy that I found Townsend Montessori Nursery, the staff are fantastic, kind, patient and very friendly. The app allows me to see what my child is up to with updates on nappy changes and what she is eating. So accommodating, they have recently been able to fit my child in for an extra few days when I needed it. My child is very happy here and with their assistance is learning so much all the time. Thank you to all the staff at Montessori Townsend.

When my child was upstairs I couldn’t fault the nursery. I thought it was brilliant. But since she moved downstairs is when my opinion changed. I wouldn’t really recommend this nursery apart from it being ok-ish. Management is fabulous any problems/concerns I’ve had I’ve gone to them and straight away it’s been dealt with. Sometimes it’s basic stuff like making sure my child is clean properly after going to the toilet, wearing appropriate clothes for activities i.e. aprons. Being left in soaking wet shoes and socks. Being given different footwear i.e. wellies to wear but no socks on in 25+ so resulting in a massive blister and not being told by the nursery even though they put a plaster on it and found socks in her bags to wear after this happened. To me, this is basic care of a child. Maybe this is where my child isn’t quite there on being independent yet but she is only 3 so still needs help in certain areas. Which I’d expect nursery staff to recognise.

My little boy started this nursery in 2021 after he struggled to settle at another local nursery. He settled straight away and has loved it ever since, the staff know him so well and he feels safe and happy at nursery. The staff create interesting and interactive learning activities based on the children’s likes (e.g Mario, ice cream, dinosaurs) this gives the children the opportunity to bond with the other children and form friendships. My little boy has made lots of friends at his nursery and is always excited to see them, the children are taught good manners, why diversity is good and why always being kind to others is so important. This nursery has shaped my son into the chatty, comical, friendly and confident little lad that he is today – I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and often do!

An amazing nursery. My little boy loves it and has came so far since being there. All the staff are amazing and so helpful and he really enjoys going and they have been so helpful and helping us with his potty training as well.
