Tops Day Nurseries: Prince Rock Nursery

My son has attended Tops Prince Rock since he was 17 months old and both mine and his experience of the nursery has been really good. It is a great facility with a really nice and safe outdoor area. The staff ( and in particular the Nursery Manager) are really friendly and approachable and have always made me feel at ease about leaving my son in their care. They use a great online system to update you on your child’s progress. The system also allows you to add in your own photos, videos and observations which I thought was particularly beneficial during the lockdown as it allowed us to still feel connected to the nursery. I would definitely recommend Tops.

Suffering from severe anxiety sending my daughter to nursery was always a daunting thought but all the staff at Tops instantly put me at ease, answering any questions I have and being supportive to myself and my daughter. My daughter’s review of the nursery was instant, as soon as she came out of her taster session she shouted that she has “the best nursery EVER!” and has proceeded to tell everyone we have seen since. She is eager and happy to go to nursery, even on days where she isn’t going! Could not have asked for a better start to her nursery journey.

The manager that has taken over has been incredible and very professional, by keeping us up to date, supporting not just the children, but the parents.
The assistant manager is amazing and outstanding following up with parents evening on Zoom with great techniques and helping supporting us with our child where she has gone so much into her shell; they are influencing her.
All the staff are on top of her severe allergy’s, which always concerned me before she started nursery, and I can’t thank them enough as it’s not just an allergic reaction with her allergy’s, its life or death, and they have been incredible with it and so supportive.
We, as a family, including our child, got quite bad with Covid, and they sent a beautiful box of different things for her to do, make and read, which was just exceptional and beyond. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son absolutely loves it here. He has made great bonds with the staff, and it’s clear they know all the children as individuals. The staff look out for each child’s well-being and are always friendly and helpful.

The children take part in a wide variety of activities, and this is communicated to parents very effectively using a daily app; as well as other updates about his day.

The food menu is very nutritious, and there is a great variety in the meals offered. I think the food is excellent value for money.

There is a lovely ethos to this nursery, and the outdoor facilities are a real plus. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

This nursery has been brilliant, from our first contact with the admin staff. Our nearly 3 year old had a lot of upheavals when starting here, as we had relocated so we started her on half days for a few weeks until she had to go full-time, due to work commitments. She settled in relatively easily and even when drop-offs were difficult, she always came out full of beans, having had a great time. Possible emotional difficulties were raised with us, we were aware that she sometimes struggles to communicate where other children her age probably wouldn’t, but even in the short time since this has been raised, we’ve seen an improvement. The staff are understanding, not just of our daughter but us too and we couldn’t be happier with her being here.

Since my daughter has joined Tops Day Nursery – Prince Rock, she has come out of her shell; her speaking is amazing and in general, she loves to go nursery. She has been struggling with her eating but the staff are really great with her, encouraging her every step of the way. She is also potty training, with which the staff are amazing.

My son has been attending Tops for over a year now and has thrived both emotionally and academically. He loves the range of resources both inside and outside of the setting, along with previous forest school lessons which took him outside of the setting for new adventures. He is about to start these again soon which he is very excited for! The staff are incredible and go above and beyond for the children. With regular communication at drop-off and collection and parents’ evenings. I am more than happy with what he has been doing throughout the day. They have even supported my son with his literacy as we had done a lot at home through lockdown, they have carried on with his phonics and writing to ensure he still continues to have a love of learning. I could not thank the staff at Tops Prince Rock enough!

My daughter loves coming to nursery every day, she jumps out of bed to get ready every day.
My only complaint would be at collection time, it can take some time to get all the children out the door when only one person is doing it and having a conversation about each child’s day before getting the next child. I am often late collecting my other children from school because of the length of time it takes to get my daughter when you know she leaves at 3pm. Also, I often feel ignored at this time because nobody actually acknowledges I am there. A simple I will go and get little lady or fella would be a lot better and a lot more professional and polite.

Our little one has a wonderful time at Tops. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and know what he likes and always make him feel comfortable. Thank you all so much!

I am extremely happy with how my daughter’s speech has come along. Since being at the nursery everyone is so kind and caring.
