Tops Day Nurseries: Gillingham Nursery

My daughter has just turned one and has started at Tops Nursery. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care that she receives – I feel very comfortable to leave her there and she has a lovely time. Communication to parents is excellent so I always know how she’s getting on and what she’s been doing.

My daughter has been at Tops since well before her first birthday and to say I was anxious about sending her at such a young age would be a massive understatement. However, the staff immediately put me at ease with their care and knowledge, and having a dedicated Key Worker settled everyone involved. Now, at nearly three and a half, my little girl has been through all the stages at Tops and enjoys every day. She talks about the staff (including the Chef!) and the things she has done during her day with excitement and enjoyment. There aren’t any downsides for me. Bookings are made easy, the food always smells inviting and the range of activities to keep my daughter interested and engaged always surprises me. The outside area is a huge draw and the addition of Cooking and Forest Schools are a welcome addition to an already great environment and service.

We have only ever had positive experiences with Tops. They give frequent updates and good communication. My daughter had always loved her time there. They offer flexibility and are always incredibly helpful.

Outstanding care for my firstborn, I am looking forward to my second joining in November as well. All staff are outstanding in the care and attention they give to my child and she’s never had a bad day! All the staff who watch over my child deserve a pay rise!

My child seems very happy at nursery. We get frequent updates on the parents’ app and it’s great to see what she has been doing and see pictures of her enjoying her time at nursery. The staff are all lovely, friendly and welcoming.

We have been really impressed by the kind staff at the nursery, they have really supported me with my daughter starting at the nursery. Even came out to the car park to reassure me she had stopped crying when I was in tears because she had wailed when I handed her over! They reassured me it’s okay to check in for the first few weeks and I have done. The food is amazing, they follow all my daughter’s dietary requirements and she is always given a hearty meal and pudding. You are sleep wizards. My daughter naps far better at nursery than at home, which was such a worry for me as she feeds to sleep at home. My only criticism, and not really a criticism, is that I don’t do drop-off or pick up so communication is really important to me. It’s nice seeing photos on the app but it would be nice for the nursery to lay out how we should communicate effectively possibly via messages. Also, would be great to have a parent’s WhatsApp group or something, so I know who my daughter is in with.

Lovely clean nursery with great equipment. Very friendly staff, my child loves going there. Only 2 downsides is the waiting time at the collection, often in the rain and cold; second is the communication – the response time can be up to a few days. The flexible times are a bonus though. I would recommend it.

Ever since the first day my child started nursery she has loved it. The staff are amazing. She loves every minute at nursery.
