March 29, 2023 at 12:00 amThe staff at Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin are fabulous – they create a warm and caring environment for the children which is so lovely to see. It was one of the first things we noticed and is why we love this nursery. Nothing is too much trouble and they are brilliant at catering for all requirements (allergies, healthcare, preferences and personalities). The staff members support and comfort children so kindly and really embrace and encourage their little characters – and enjoy sharing fun stories from their day together at pickup time. It has a friendly, family feel to it and we’re so grateful to the staff for taking care of our little one!

March 30, 2023 at 12:00 amMy child joined the baby room at Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin in January and I couldn’t be happier to have found such a caring nursery. First and foremost, I wanted to find a nursery where I could drop off my baby and he would be happy and this was more than enough for me, but Toad Hall has gone beyond this and not only is he very happy there, but the progress I’ve seen in him since joining is genuinely incredible. I really do feel as though I’m leaving my baby in the best care, which is a huge weight off my shoulders and the relationship he has with the staff is so lovely to see!! They genuinely care!

March 30, 2023 at 12:00 amI’ve had the pleasure of having my son and now daughter at Toad Hall for the last four years. My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery. The staff are incredible and clearly really adore her, I feel very secure and safe leaving her there. My son equally loved his time there and despite him being at school now, lots of the staff know who he is when he comes in to pick up my daughter with me. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

April 3, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter started going to little chicks in January and my partner and I could not be happier. The staff are so welcoming and caring and have really helped make the transition into daycare as smooth as possible. The staff have really gone above and beyond and our daughter has settled in extremely well. Going to daycare is now part of her routine and she has just blossomed whilst in their care. Most importantly we know that she is safe and in capable hands. We could not be more grateful to Toad Hall Nursery, Hitchin!

April 13, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin for just over a year, she has developed beyond our belief! We have seen a huge turnaround in her social skills, she went from being incredibly shy to creating strong bonds with children and carers. She has developed a strong appetite to learn and is determined to write people’s names at the moment. One of the best things about Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin is the management team – they are incredibly friendly, understanding and accommodating. This is something I hugely value as a busy working Mum. I moved my daughter from another nursery last year due to an inflexible and rude management team – so I’m really pleased Toad Hall is so wonderful.

The standard of care is exceptional and they have done an amazing job of getting her ready for school. My son is due to start next month too.

April 19, 2023 at 12:00 amI do not have a bad word to say about Toad Hall. The staff are all professional, polite and caring. The support they provide for the children in their care is amazing with different and varied activities running each day. The children learn through play which means they don’t even know they are learning, which is fantastic for preschool children who will soon make the transition to school. Since moving to Owls, my son has grown and developed his behaviour and social skills and started recognising words in books, writing letters he has seen and trying to write his own name, this is all down to the wonderful Owls team.

April 27, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been in the care of Toad Hall Nursery for a couple of months now and it has been a wonderful experience for us both. The team in Hedgehogs are outstanding and has gone above and beyond to help her settle and get comfortable in new surroundings. Likewise, they have gone the extra mile with me – including an unexpected but touching Mother’s Day gift. I am so happy my daughter is in the care of Toad Hall Nursery. Really looking forward to seeing her grow and flourish in their care.

May 26, 2023 at 12:00 amOur thirteen-month-old son started Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin earlier this month. We couldn’t wish for a better setting. The team at Butterflies have welcomed him with open arms, giving him love and attention to help grow his confidence at nursery. He only attends two days a week but has settled really quickly thanks to the team. He has so much fun! The variety of activities and playtime opportunities both inside and out are brilliant! We can’t wait to see how our little guy grows and develops at Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin and thank the passionate team from the bottom of our hearts.

June 1, 2023 at 12:00 amOur child started full-time at Toad Hall Nursery, aged 12 weeks and is now 18 months. She has had three different key workers since joining who have all been incredible with her. They have supported us through her being breastfed, on formula, weaning and from tummy time, crawling and now walking. Every step of her joining so far.
We credit so much of the amazing little person she is becoming to the team at Toad Hall. We really couldn’t recommend them enough.

June 9, 2023 at 12:00 amWe have recently started at Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin. The transition into the nursery has been really smooth for both of our children. The staff are experienced and have been at Toad Hall for years – staff retention is good. The balance of activities in preschool works well to ensure a mix of play and preparation for school. Outdoor play space and resources are also good. Communication from the management team is regular, high quality and tailored. We would recommend on the experience we have had so far.

July 19, 2023 at 12:00 amI have been hugely impressed by Toad Hall. The staff have been wonderful, very caring and attractive with my child. They design fun activities and learning opportunities as well as outdoor fun, which my child loves. The food on offer appears to be nutritious and well-balanced. The nursery is very clean, which is something I noticed when comparing to other local nurseries.
This nursery has been the best place for my child and I really couldn’t fault it.

July 21, 2023 at 12:00 amThe staff at Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin are second to none. My daughter went there four years ago and a lot of the same people are still there now. My 8-month-old has started. We had such a lovely welcome back and they were all so happy to see us again. It’s made leaving my baby in their care so reassuring and he loves going and spending time there.

July 26, 2023 at 12:00 amToad Hall Nursery have helped our son settle in really well. Always smiling and welcoming, happy to cuddle and reassure him when we drop him off. Suggestion to move to two days worked a treat – he seems much more comfortable. The pictures and reports have been lovely to see – gives us a great idea of how much he’s enjoying being there.
