The Wendy House

My son has been at the Wendy House for 4 years and I couldn’t wish for him to go to a better nursery. The girls who work there are amazing and my son speaks very fondly of them. They do fun things with the kids, such as having parties to celebrate special dates and visits from Santa each Christmas! I know that my son is very well cared for by the staff and he’s made strong friendships with the other children who he will be moving up to primary school with. The Wendy House has helped me out a lot doing the school runs to and from primary school. They are a 10/10 nursery and I can’t fault the girls who’ve cared for my son from baby room through to red group. Thank you Wendy House!

My son has been going to The Wendy House since he was 9 months old, I knew I was going to use this nursery again after my daughter also went there and I’ve absolutely loved sending them, it is the best nursery around. My son skips in every day with huge smiles, I don’t even get a kiss or a hug sometimes as he’s that excited to get in! The care is extremely good, I feel incredibly safe leaving him there and I know he’ll have a great day every day. They don’t just look after your child, they nurture them, teach them new skills through play and books, grow veg, and butterflies, learn all about them then release them into the sky. There’s so much more that The Wendy House does. All the nursery assistants are amazing too, I highly recommend this nursery, I’ll be very sad when my son leaves in September to go to big school but I’m very grateful for all they’ve done for him.

My daughter has attended The Wendy House for 3 years and 4 months. It really is a brilliant nursery. During the pandemic, sensible decisions were made that were not over the top. The staff are absolutely amazing and are a credit to the nursery. My daughter has grown up to be a happy and confident girl with lots of friends and a great imagination – a big part of that is down to the nursery. I’m going to be extremely sad when she leaves for school in a few weeks. I wish she could stay there forever!

My son has attended since he was 9 months old and has been very happy, always willing to go and with big smiles coming home. There is lots of outside playing and the childcare is excellent. He has become a confident and independent little boy, since attending The Wendy House.

We have our 2 children in The Wendy House. They have been attending for 1 year. Our eldest spent a whole year at home during lockdown and our youngest was born during that period. The transition to nursery followed unprecedented times and it was done with care, understanding and consideration for both children and parents. Both settled really well which is exceptional in the context! The staff are very caring and know the children and their personalities really well. Our children talk about the staff and it is clear there is a really good bond. They are excited to go in the morning! There is an app so you get lots of pictures and that shows a huge range of activities. I’ve found it positive to speak to the owner and the manager with experience of many, many years of working with children. As a parent, each stage is a ‘first’ so that has been helpful on occasion. We’ve all had a very positive, happy nursery experience so far.

I find everything at The Wendy House holds so many activities and learning facilities for children of this day in age, they participate and get involved with day-to-day events like world book day, St David’s day, pancake day, etc. I find the environment is established for the age range and the staff are always on hand for support and emotional well-being. I cannot express how much The Wendy House has helped and supported not only my own child but others too.

As a covid baby, our daughter found going to nursery really difficult. The staff were great with her and were very patient giving her lots of cuddles. She now absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are very friendly and show genuine care and affection to the children. Our daughter has made lots of new friends at nursery and has become a very confident little girl.

The staff at The Wendy House really are second to none! My youngest is currently in the baby room and has some additional medical needs which all the girls have become really knowledgeable about and are very supportive of his ongoing treatment. Staff also get to know each child’s personality and little quirks so well and talk about them with such fondness that they almost feel like family! Even staff in other rooms know your child and say hello, it’s really heartwarming! My eldest moved onto school last September and has thoroughly enjoyed going back to Holiday Club and seeing his favourite ‘teachers’ from Red Group! The food and daily activities are great and I particularly love how much outdoor play they get even in inclement weather. One slight negative is that I find the billing difficult to follow and would prefer a simpler, more transparent invoicing system, although I’m sure this isn’t helped by the complicated funding system that is currently in place!

My son was 6 months old starting at nursery. I worried a lot about everything. Very soon it became apparent that my son being at nursery was one less thing to worry about. The team are fantastic. They genuinely care, they are so kind and lovely. My son has been in baby, toddler and the blue room now and has clearly really enjoyed his time there. The communication is excellent, he has a little book of what he has eaten, nappy changes, sleep and what he’s been up to and enjoyed doing that day. They use an app to communicate messages, and newsletters and share photos of the week – it’s lovely to see them playing and doing activities. The menu and the food they have looks absolutely delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone. Absolutely wonderful.

We moved my little boy to The Wendy House twelve months ago so he could also start school nursery in the afternoons.
