The Old Station Nursery Faringdon

It’s a wonderful nursery run by dedicated and caring people – my son loves it there and has got involved in a range of activities. I have full confidence in the care and am really grateful to the staff for their hard work and commitment to care. The only thing I’d change is the outdoor space for something a bit more naturalistic but space is limited – would be nice for them to have a bit more access to nature.

Perfect communication. Modern and airy atmosphere. Everything is well organized and the staff are very helpful. On-site parking. The parents’ app used to follow the course of the day is very complete and we can find out about our baby at any time. We are very pleased. Amazing place.

Our daughter, who has attended the nursery ever since she was a baby, has had irreplaceable support and a wonderful experience being a member of the ever-growing, ever-embracing community that is The Old Station. We have warm places in our hearts for you all!

The room staff are amazing and put a huge amount of effort in with the children. Staff turnover in some rooms is concerning. Communication from the nursery overall is poor, e.g. emails are often left unanswered. Lack of flexibility too regarding days attended.

We love the nursery, from the events to the day-to-day. The staff are all so incredibly caring and supportive. The facilities are clean and safe. You know you’re in safe hands every day. We couldn’t think of going anywhere better.

We are in our third year at the nursery and we are very happy here. Considering that this is the only nursery in Faringdon for younger children, we are very lucky with how good the nursery is. The staff seem to genuinely care about doing a good job, and my son considers the staff to be his friends. The children have lots of different activities, have French lessons and yoga lessons, and even occasionally go out on little outings. The nursery celebrates lots of seasonal and cultural events, as well as life events at the nursery, for example when a member of staff gets married or gets a dog, it’s made into a fun learning experience for the children. This nursery is in a different league to the one I went to as a child!

I have never felt happier or safer leaving my son in anyone else’s care. The staff at Old Station Nursery love and care for him so well. The activities they do are fantastic! He loves the food and always has the best days when he goes!

My daughter has been in the nursery since baby room and she’s now in preschool. The staff have always been amazing. There’s plenty of room and space for her to explore in the classroom and she enjoys playing in the garden. My daughter loves her nursery, the staff and the other kids and I am always well informed of her day at nursery when she gets picked up.

Delighted with the whole experience – my daughter loves going to nursery and clearly adores the staff – it’s obvious that she receives a great deal of love and care and given lots of opportunities to learn and try new activities. The staff are all lovely and never seem impatient – always happy to chat about how she got on even when I’m late! It’s lovely to have pictures through the app. The only thing I’d change is to have more natural outdoor space, but you can’t have everything and the nursery is constrained by location in this respect.
