The Old School House Nursery Walmley

Our little one has been extremely pleased since joining The Old School House. There is a great variety of food and activities for our little ones to enjoy. The team our polite and accommodating and our baby seems super content at drop off and pick up times. I’m really excited for the extracurricular activities our young lady will be able to enjoy as she gets older. The app is such a lovely way to communicate with the nursery setting personnel and monitor your child’s daily routine and overall progress (through observations) I would endorse The Old School House to any parent.

I can’t suggest this childcare centre enough, they really do support about the youngsters and it shows. I enjoy the daily updates I get from crew when I pick her up, and the regular photos and updates on her growth via the app are fantastic. My little one has been attending Nursery here since she turned 1. The first few weeks were tough as she had not been well and struggled to settle, however since then she has flourished here and it is down to the incredible team and facilities. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our journey and would suggest to anyone.

The crew are exceptionally vibrant, energetic and flexible to meet all needs and levels of engagement the kids have there. We are so extremely pleased with all aspects of the early‑years hub and would have no issues recommending it to anyone who wants a great, fun and secure space for their youngsters to journey. The personnel couldn’t do enough to make him feel welcome and settled. The food is varied, exceptionally healthy with lots of alternative choices for the kids to ensure they eat at every meal. From the day we walked around to today, the nursery setting and the team working there are truly incredible. He enjoys early‑years hub, has a great routine and has excelled in lots of progression with speech, movement and other areas and we give huge credit to the early‑years hub for these improvements. Our little boy is now nearly 2. Our little boy started just before he was 1. Regular updates through the app give real peace of mind as you almost feel as though you are there with them. The childcare centre is fantastic in all areas.

Our boy has joined The Old School House since he was 18 months old, he’s now nearly 3 and I could never dream of sending him elsewhere! And I have always said I believe this is the early‑years hub bringing out the best in him! Thank you! Our young lad didn’t speak when he went to the childcare centre which as a parent was exceptionally concerning, the crew were quick to adapt to his needs, and now he’s never quiet talking away! The team have the most beautiful and kindest of hearts and treat our young lad as if they were their own, he comes out ranting and raving about what he’s done his friends his mentors as he calls them! I would treasure to thank you all so much and also can’t wait for his prior year with you as a childcare centre, then I’ll be putting my twins in with you!

My girl started The Old School House Nursery (Walmley) in January 2023 at 11 months old. We have watched our girl go from strength to strength and flourish under their supervision. As soon as you walk through those doors it feels homely and secure. The coffee machine for drop off and pick up is an extra thoughtful touch that echos the ethos of the whole nursery setting. From Mother’s Day afternoon teas to ducks, chicks, rabbits and guinea pig snuggles. The exploring and curriculum are second to none, the team are superb and the care and attention to detail they show are excellent. I would strongly suggest the nursery setting and encourage a visit. My daughter’s key worker has been excellent and attentive, the manager and all team know my girl and always make me feel welcome and her special. The extra sessions they put on, such as the stay and plays, are beautiful and thoughtful.

The crew are really lovely, especially the ones in my child’s room. The surroundings are beautiful and they do so many different activities with the youngsters. They have excellent correspondence and always keep me up to date with my child’s daily activities.

Their use of the app allows us constant updates and helps us track our little ones eating and health updates. The childcare centre personnel did wonders getting my baby boy integrated into their setting and did just as well settling me down into my little one being in this kind of environment too. My shy little boy has come on leaps and bounds in the short time he has been at nursery setting and I’ve every faith this is the perfect place to help him develop happily!

He naps well after lunch as they close the curtains and put relaxing sounds on. The garden area is beautiful and they are always doing different indoor and outdoor activities that we get updates and pictures of. We are really delighted with how well our 21-month-old boy gets on there and would strongly suggest it. All of the team are fantastic and have given me advice on things such as teeth brushing and they have drop-in sessions for help on things such as potty training. My little boy has been attending The Old Schoolhouse House Nursery in Walmley since the end of January and since then he has come along leaps and bounds. He’s tried so many new foods and has a really good daily routine. I’ve been to some parent and little one stay and plays, they even had one where they have petting animals which was lovely. He settled quickly and enjoys all of the girls there and has a big smile on his face whenever we arrive and leave. I went one lunch to pick him up and all of the little ones are sound asleep.

The additional extracurricular activities are well-considered and varied, French and football being particular highlights. Her needs have been met faultlessly by the nursery setting crew and the setting they have created for the youngsters who go to is wonderful. Our little one has been so delighted here and has made incredible headway both academically and socially. We can’t rate The Old School House enthusiastically enough.

We are able to check on our young lady during the day and always receive a timely response. It has been nice to watch the relationship build between our girl and her key worker and the impact this has had on her confidence and ability to complete tasks. Having visited several nurseries, we chose The Old School House and we are more than glad that we did. We initially decided to send our girl to a childminder, who we already knew but as she grew older we realised that she would likely gain much more from attending a childcare centre, where she would interact more with other little ones, have the opportunity to engage in more activities targeted at her age and get used to a daily routine. From the outset team have been adaptable and responsive to our daughter’s specific needs, putting in place a support plan to ensure that she can communicate, partake in activities and discover. We would strongly endorse this nursery setting to anyone considering somewhere for their little one.
