October 6, 2015 at 12:00 amI have now had three children attend this nursery and have seen it change a lot over the years. The true constant has, however, been the high standards of care and affection that the staff have for the children in their care. There is the highest emphasis placed on creating strong and supportive relationships with the children and understanding their development fully. The environment is stimulating with a wonderful outside play area and wildlife zone. I would highly recommend this setting to anyone in or around Willingham looking for childcare.

February 6, 2018 at 12:00 amMy twin boys have been attending The Old Buttery Nursery in Willingham for the past year, and I couldn’t be happier. I have seen both boys grow and learn as a direct result of the teaching and care they experience at nursery.
The staff are fabulous – I love them, and my boys clearly love them too. My twins are treated as individuals, and they are developing their own personalities and confidence as individuals.
I can see day by day how much my boys are learning. The nursery has a wide range of toys, and I see variety in the activities they carry out. They do messy play – brilliant, so I don’t have to do it at home and spend a lot of time outdoors.
My children are exposed to a wide range of food at the nursery, and as a result, they eat really well. When we have had struggles with difficult eating, the nursery has persisted and I believe they help re-encourage the boys to try new things again.
Couldn’t recommend more!

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amBoth of my children have been to this nursery. The staff are genuine, caring, career professionals in childcare. They are very aware of each child’s individual needs and preferences. They encourage great behaviour and developmental progression; from an early age, they learn to tidy up, share toys with others, play nicely with those older or younger than themselves, feed themselves, dress themselves, nappy/toilet training.
They always tell me how the day went. The nursery uses a secure online facility for parents to log in and view videos and photos taken of your child during the day, especially when they meet a milestone. Meals are freshly cooked and prepared on site and ingredients are locally sourced. Although it’s not a state of the art facility, there are plenty of toys and guided activities for them, and a great outdoor space for them to get out and muck around. To me, that’s much more important than having the latest gadgets. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amMy son started nursery when he was 10 months old and I was a bit weary putting him in so early. I needn’t have worried, he has settled really well and doesn’t even notice when I leave him.
My daughter who is now 7, came here before she started school and there was no option about which nursery to put my son in when the time came.
The staff are all brilliant. They know the children needs and work to the highest standard – I can’t fault anything they do.
The barn and outside garden are both very big so plenty of room for the kids to play.
The food is cooked fresh each day and a good variety is always given.
Definitely recommend to other parents.

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amGreat space both inside and out in the garden and meadow. Staff are friendly and very professional. They always have time to discuss my child’s day, which makes me feel comfortable talking to them. My first child went here from 9 months to 4.5 years, and now my 2-year-old has already been here for over a year. Would definitely recommend. I do find it expensive, especially the under 2 years rate, but the level of care and to see the development in my child honestly makes it worth it.

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been going to Old Buttery Nursery School since she was 9 months old and is now 3 years old. She really enjoys her time there, likes to chat away to us about her day and the activities they’ve been doing when she’s picked up. The nursery has lots of toys, books and space for the children to play, with their artwork on the wall.
The outdoor space available for the children is amazing and a real asset. The staff are excellent, always welcoming and attentive – my daughter knows them well and is very happy attending. The nursery also provides updates via Tapestry which is a great record of your child’s progress and what they’ve been doing.

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amMy child started nursery 9 months ago as a young baby and is very happy there. The staff are very good, and he is extremely well looked after, I have no concerns about the care and attention he receives while at nursery.
There are plenty of toys for him to play with, and he enjoys the outdoor space in the warmer weather. I think improvements to the look of the building would attract more families to consider putting their children in- but don’t be put off by this, as the staff and the care are very good.

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amOur son started at The Old Buttery last June and has loved attending from day 1. At the time he went with his older sister (who also attended for 2 1/2 years and was sorry to leave) but since September has been going alone and is always happy to get there and not keen to leave at the end of the day.
Although the outside exterior looks a little tired the resources inside and personal care are top rates with a very loving family environment that comes with a smaller childcare setting. They also have a great outside area that they put to full use throughout the year. The introduction of the tapestry system last year has been great to see photos and videos of our son enjoying the setting first hand.
I would not hesitate to recommend The Old Buttery, the fact my daughter can’t wait to go back next week over half-term speaks volumes. It’s definitely an added bonus they will take older siblings during some school holidays.

February 21, 2018 at 12:00 amThe staff at Koala Kidz are lovely.
My daughter especially loves her key worker.
The manager is a great help with advising parents, the staff do a great job with the children.
If ever I have a concern I feel at ease in talking to these 3 ladies.
The only thing that lets the nursery down is the area where they change the babies, it often smells when you go to hang up their coats and isn’t a great first impression.
Also, I feel we need a daily whiteboard to show what food they had that day as I often have no idea what my child has eaten.

February 26, 2018 at 12:00 amI would recommend The Old Buttery Nursery. My son currently attends the nursery and he loves it. My son is becoming very sociable and is growing in confidence in large groups. It is clear he enjoys the messy play activities with the number of clothes I wash!
My daughter also attended the nursery prior to school. Again she thoroughly enjoyed her time there and loves going back to visit.
The staff are great! The love and care they have for all the children is amazing. All the staff make the parents feel at ease when leaving the children.
The garden area is great and its lovely to see all the children out exploring and running around.
Both children enjoy the food provided and never had any complaints.

April 11, 2018 at 12:00 amAs a Gran living in Yorkshire, l only get to take or fetch my grandson from the Old Buttery nursery occasionally, since he started at 12 months, but he clearly loves it! The staff are completely in tune with every aspect of his development. They patiently make every effort to encourage and understand his speech, and it is fascinating to notice expressions and facts and values he has picked up at Nursery. There is a healthy balance between choice and boundaries enabling the children to learn respect for themselves, and other people.
The extensive outdoor play area is a real bonus, with water play in a variety of settings being a favourite pastime – and those spare changes of clothes get deployed!
The staff are a very welcoming team and take to heart the children’s individual needs including catering for my grandson’s allergies.
Excellent foundations are being laid at The Old Buttery Nursery for his education and welfare as a happy rounded individual!

April 23, 2018 at 12:00 amMy son is now 3 years old and has been at the Old Buttery for 2 years so far. The staff are amazing at catering for the needs and wishes of every child and making sure everyone feels included. My son has allergies and they go to great lengths to make sure he isn’t left out when the others have birthday cake! He is taught to play nicely with children of all ages – they spend some time all mixed together as well as separate time doing age-appropriate activities. The Tapestry app is brilliant for seeing what he’s been up to during the day, and the little book giving a daily record of the more mundane things (eating, sleeping and toileting) is really useful too. They like to spend as much time as possible in their expansive garden (come rain, snow or sunshine) – climbing trees, going on nature trails, playing in the sandpit/boat, water trays, etc. I am sure he will be confident and ready to go to school when the time comes!
