September 7, 2024 at 2:14 amMy daughter especially loves her key worker.
The manager is a excellent help with advising parents, the team do a excellent job with the kids.
If ever I have a concern I sense at ease in talking to these 3 ladies.
The only thing that lets the childcare centre down is the area where they change the babies, it often smells when you go to hang up their coats and isn’t a excellent first impression.
Also, I sense we need a daily whiteboard to show what food they had that day as I often have no idea what my kid has eaten. The team at Koala Kidz are lovely.

October 6, 2024 at 3:38 pmI needn’t have worried, he has settled really well and doesn’t even notice when I leave him.
My daughter who is now 7, came here before she started school and there was no option about which childcare centre to put my son in when the time came.
The team are all exceptional. They know the kids needs and work to the highest standard – I can’t fault anything they do.
The barn and outside garden are both very big so plenty of room for the kids to playtime.
The food is cooked fresh each day and a great variety is consistently given.
Definitely suggest to other parents. My son started childcare centre when he was 10 months old and I was a bit weary putting him in so early.

October 7, 2024 at 8:38 pmStaff are welcoming and very expert. They consistently have time to discuss my kid’s day, which makes me sense comfortable talking to them. My first kid went here from 9 months to 4.5 years, and now my 2-year-old has already been here for over a year. Would definitely suggest. I do find it expensive, especially the under 2 years rate, but the level of care and to see the development in my kid honestly makes it worth it. Great space both inside and out in the garden and meadow.

October 13, 2024 at 10:28 amThe team are genuine, attentive, career professionals in childcare. They are very aware of each kid’s individual needs and preferences. They encourage excellent behaviour and developmental progression; from an early age, they learn to tidy up, share toys with others, playtime nicely with those older or younger than themselves, feed themselves, dress themselves, nappy/toilet training.
They consistently tell me how the day went. The childcare centre uses a secure online facility for parents to log in and view videos and photos taken of your kid during the day, especially when they meet a milestone. Meals are freshly cooked and prepared on site and ingredients are locally sourced. Although it’s not a state of the art facility, there are plenty of toys and guided activities for them, and a excellent outdoor space for them to get out and muck around. To me, that’s much more important than having the latest gadgets. I wholeheartedly suggest it. Both of my kids have been to this childcare centre.

October 29, 2024 at 3:33 pmThe true constant has, however, been the high standards of care and affection that the team have for the kids in their care. There is the highest emphasis placed on creating strong and supportive relationships with the kids and understanding their development fully. The setting is stimulating with a fantastic outside playtime area and wildlife zone. I would highly suggest this setting to anyone in or around Willingham looking for childcare. I have now had three kids attend this childcare centre and have seen it change a lot over the years.

November 18, 2024 at 8:54 pmThe team are very great, and he is extremely well looked after, I have no concerns about the care and attention he receives while at childcare centre.
There are plenty of toys for him to playtime with, and he enjoys the outdoor space in the warmer weather. I think improvements to the look of the building would attract more families to consider putting their kids in- but don’t be put off by this, as the team and the care are very great. My kid started childcare centre 9 months ago as a young baby and is very cheerful there.

December 7, 2024 at 1:25 amMy son currently attends the childcare centre and he loves it. My son is becoming very sociable and is growing in self‑assurance in large groups. It is clear he enjoys the messy playtime activities with the number of clothes I wash!
My daughter also attended the childcare centre prior to school. Again she thoroughly enjoyed her time there and loves going back to visit.
The team are excellent! The adore and care they have for all the kids is incredible. All the team make the parents sense at ease when leaving the kids.
The garden area is excellent and its lovely to see all the kids out exploring and running around.
Both kids delight in the food provided and never had any complaints. I would suggest The Old Buttery Nursery.

February 2, 2025 at 1:35 amShe really enjoys her time there, likes to chat away to us about her day and the activities they’ve been doing when she’s picked up. The childcare centre has lots of toys, books and space for the kids to playtime, with their artwork on the wall.
The outdoor space available for the kids is incredible and a real asset. The team are outstanding, consistently welcoming and attentive – my daughter knows them well and is very cheerful attending. The childcare centre also provides updates via Tapestry which is a excellent record of your kid’s development and what they’ve been doing. My daughter has been going to Old Buttery Nursery School since she was 9 months old and is now 3 years old.

February 3, 2025 at 3:50 pmThe team are incredible at catering for the needs and wishes of every kid and making sure everyone feels included. My son has allergies and they go to excellent lengths to make sure he isn’t left out when the others have birthday cake! He is taught to playtime nicely with kids of all ages – they spend some time all mixed together as well as separate time doing age-appropriate activities. The Tapestry app is exceptional for seeing what he’s been up to during the day, and the little book giving a daily record of the more mundane things (eating, sleeping and toileting) is really useful too. They like to spend as much time as possible in their expansive garden (come rain, snow or sunshine) – climbing trees, going on nature trails, playing in the sandpit/boat, water trays, etc. I am sure he will be confident and ready to go to school when the time comes! My son is now 3 years old and has been at the Old Buttery for 2 years so far.

February 26, 2025 at 1:57 amI have seen both boys grow and learn as a direct result of the teaching and care they journey at childcare centre.
The team are fabulous – I adore them, and my boys clearly adore them too. My twins are treated as individuals, and they are developing their own personalities and self‑assurance as individuals.
I can see day by day how much my boys are discovering. The childcare centre has a wide range of toys, and I see variety in the activities they carry out. They do messy playtime – exceptional, so I don’t have to do it at home and spend a lot of time outdoors.
My kids are exposed to a wide range of food at the childcare centre, and as a result, they eat really well. When we have had struggles with difficult eating, the childcare centre has persisted and I believe they help re-encourage the boys to try new things again.
Couldn’t suggest more! My twin boys have been attending The Old Buttery Nursery in Willingham for the past year, and I couldn’t be happier.

March 2, 2025 at 3:36 pmThe team are completely in tune with every aspect of his development. They patiently make every effort to encourage and understand his speech, and it is fascinating to notice expressions and facts and values he has picked up at Nursery. There is a healthy balance between choice and boundaries enabling the kids to learn respect for themselves, and other people.
The extensive outdoor playtime area is a real bonus, with water playtime in a variety of settings being a favourite pastime – and those spare changes of clothes get deployed!
The team are a very welcoming team and take to heart the kids’s individual needs including catering for my grandson’s allergies.
Excellent foundations are being laid at The Old Buttery Nursery for his education and welfare as a cheerful rounded individual! As a Gran living in Yorkshire, l only get to take or fetch my grandson from the Old Buttery childcare centre occasionally, since he started at 12 months, but he clearly loves it!

July 2, 2025 at 12:22 amAt the time he went with his older sister (who also attended for 2 1/2 years and was sorry to leave) but since September has been going alone and is consistently cheerful to get there and not keen to leave at the end of the day.
Although the outside exterior looks a little tired the resources inside and personal care are top rates with a very loving family setting that comes with a smaller childcare setting. They also have a excellent outside area that they put to full use throughout the year. The introduction of the tapestry system last year has been excellent to see photos and videos of our son enjoying the setting first hand.
I would not hesitate to suggest The Old Buttery, the fact my daughter can’t wait to go back next week over half-term speaks volumes. It’s definitely an added bonus they will take older siblings during some school holidays. Our son started at The Old Buttery last June and has loved attending from day 1.
