The Nursery School Charlwood

My daughter went there for nine months until she started school and now my son is also there. The team make you sense as if you are part of a big family. Nothing is too much and they are consistently compassionate and thoughtful. Both of my kids adore Charlwood, to the point that they both have cried when I pick them up because they don’t want to leave. All of the activities they plan are thoroughly enjoyed and outdoor enjoyable is remarkable here. Each time the kids move up a class, you get a lovely pack of their work as a keepsake. Education is featured all the way through the childcare centre and I also sense that the preschool part of the childcare centre is especially excellent and the team truly helped prepare my daughter for school. My kids and I absolutely adore it here. I cannot stress enough how fantastic Charlwood House is.

The team make you sense at ease as a parent and are consistently there to answer any questions you may have. My son couldn’t be happier here and I would highly suggest to anyone looking for a trusting attentive childcare setting. My son has settled in so nicely to Charlwood House Day Childcare centre, the team are so compassionate and attentive and consistently make sure my son has an incredible time every day he is in their care.

It’s consistently daunting leaving your kid with ‘strangers’ as she was only just 1 when she started. She eased in truly well though, and even did so after lockdown when she returned in August 2020. She loves her key workers and has learnt their names. The activities that they do at the childcare centre are so great for her development, and are things that most parents don’t have time for at home so I adore that she gets to do more there. She’s come on leaps and bounds and loves going there, and she even gets excited in the car!
If I’ve ever had an issue, the childcare centre are there to answer any questions and assistance as much as they can. The team are all lovely and so understanding. I cannot wait for our second to join also! Our daughter started Charlwood House Day Childcare centre in January 2020 and has transitioned so well.

She started when she was 8 months old in Bumblebees and they were so incredible looking after her. Now she is in Caterpillars class and is growing in independence. She loves the outdoor space and a wide range of activities. They continue to care for her and ensure she is cheerful at childcare centre. My daughter has been going to Charlwood for a year now and loves it!

After viewing the childcare centre and it’s grounds I immediately knew it was the right place for my son. The bond the team have with the kids is remarkable. Every team member is exceptional, and they are so accommodating. Truly flexible with add on days or changing days if needed.
The childcare centre has been incredible for my son’s development and he has come on leaps and bounds since being there.
What I truly like the most is the fact it’s an independent childcare centre and you can tell that. It feels personal and non-corporate which to me is a winner. My son had previously gone to a big chain childcare centre and it felt highly cold. The best thing I did moving him here. I can’t suggest Charlwood House Day Childcare centre enough.

First time going to childcare centre and we had a constant battle getting her to go most days she would be in tears all morning before having to go in the afternoon, from the minute she woke, she constantly said no childcare centre today. The week before lockdown in March, we cracked this, and she went in cheerful without crying, then lockdown happened, she was off for 6-7 months before returning in September. We were so worried about her returning as we thought we would be back to square one again, but this was not the case, we now have a newly transformed kid, who runs into childcare centre waving us goodbye and when we pick her up she loves telling us about her day and what she has done. We could not have done this without the incredible team at Charlwood. They have been our absolute rocks with settling her and we cannot thank them enough for all they have done. Even during the lockdown, they sent our daughter videos, which I think truly encouraged her to remember them. My little girl started Charlwood back in January.

The door is consistently opened with a smile and the kid is greeted by name.
My son had his first afternoon where he was truly cheerful and the team were so excited to tell us when we arrived. Just to see the shared happiness showed us we’ve chosen the right placement for him.
They encourage you to call to check in on how they are if you’re anxious and have truly gone above and beyond with everything they do, offering to buy a CD that calmed him!
We recently had a family funeral and the childcare centre were so supportive and allowed us to not sense rushed into coming back to childcare centre afterwards with a strict deadline of pickup time.
Charlwood House is in a lovely setting with large outside playtime areas that the kids adore. The team here are so invested in the kids and each of their needs it truly is so heartwarming to see.
With my son, although not yet settled as he hasn’t been attending for highly long, the team do everything they can to make the transition as easy as possible.

My youngest daughter has been there since November and has settled in exceptionally well. The team are all lovely and I adore that they have lots of open outdoor space for the kids to delight in fresh air. My eldest went to Charlwood House Day Childcare centre and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The team have been incredible. Whilst my working pattern has been constantly changing due to furlough over the past few months, the manager has been truly flexible and understanding with short notice changes to his attendance.
Since returning in January, my son has been cheerful and smiling at drop off and when I collect him. He eats truly well, and the team in Bumblebees have been supportive with his recent change in routine which helps us out at home.
I can happily suggest the childcare centre for anyone wishing their kid to be looked after in a home away from home setting.

I can also suggest their holiday club which my daughter has attended and thoroughly enjoys. My son has been attending Charlwood House Day Childcare centre since September 2020.

We are welcomed in every day with open arms and we adore each and every member of team. The childcare centre is situated in lovely grounds and is excellent for outdoorsy kids, with lots of toys inside for rainy days too. We originally chose Charlwood because of the flexibility of days for shift workers which truly makes Charlwood unique. It is situated on the airport perimeter road which makes life easier for childcare centre dropoffs on the way to/from work. The team are tolerant of my “terribly two” year old. Would highly suggest! My son loves going to Charlwood House Day Childcare centre, he has been attending since he was 9 months old and is nearly 2 now.
