The Marston Day Nursery

Such a professional and well-organised nursery! Our daughter settled in so easily and loves going each week! The staff are all so friendly and are very passionate about looking after the children in the appropriate manner. The nursery is very clean and the toys and outdoor areas are very well kept. We were very wary of putting our daughter in nursery at such a young age but we now have no worries about her being there at all!

My son started nursery for 2 days a week after lockdown. He loves it so much we’re now upped his days to 3. He skips to the nursery and so happy when we pick him up. He happily talks about his key workers and his new friends. His confidence has soared, his speaking has improved and he knows the names of a lot of the children in his group which I was pleasantly surprised at. It’s not usually been his strong point. I’m so impressed with the ideas and play they do on a daily basis, always something different. He loves that they go for walks to the forest centre and to parks and gets lots of fresh air. So much effort and thought have gone into the decor and equipment of the nursery and their garden. There was a couple of niggly bits early on but I’ve put that down to teething issues which have now been ironed out. It was nothing compared to how happy going to nursery makes him.

The Marston Day Nursery is fabulous! I was very anxious about starting my son at nursery but as soon as we went and had a tour of the nursery and spoke with the senior management team, I felt instantly at ease. The nursery is beautiful and safe and there is so much for the children to do and explore. The staff are brilliant and knew exactly how to work with my son to help him settle, I couldn’t have asked for better support. Our son has settled exceptionally well into nursery and has built strong relationships with many of the staff. I feel happy knowing that he is safe and well cared for whilst at nursery. I love that the children go out for walks and little adventures on a regular basis and the daily photos and updates make me smile every time! They have an excellent facility with beautiful gardens and I can’t recommend this nursery enough!

The Marston Day Nursery has been amazing with my little boy! He has come out of his shell so much! I’d highly recommend it! The staff in the baby room have been great with supporting his transition from being at home with me to attending nursery.

Within minutes of viewing the nursery, we knew that it was the right place for our little girl. When I describe the nursery to friends and family, I say it looks like the kind of nursery you could only dream off. It’s bright, airy, has so much space for the children to explore inside and out, and the staff have been nothing but kind, attentive, and reassuring. Our daughter comes home with lots to say about what adventures she’s been on. She has lots of fun, and we are very happy with our nursery choice.

My son attends Marston Day Nursery and spends his day full of activity. He has progressed enormously throughout his time there, he has learnt new skills and shown a key interest in others. I had concerns that choosing a nursery would be a nightmare but knowing and seeing that my little boy is happy and safe there makes it’s all so easy. He is always happy to go in and happy to see us at the end of the day with lots of information given from the staff both throughout the day on the app and at the end of the day with a handover. Highly recommend!

My daughter started this nursery, and the whole team are excellent! They are soo busy all the time, going out doing so many different activities, very creative with the activities and celebration days. They update very often about their development as well as what they eat. The food variety is excellent, loads of fruits and healthy variety. Good communication within the whole setting, they act quickly and is never an issue. They are always there for whatever you need. I feel, in general, staff are very professional – definitely recommend it! My only regret is not starting earlier in this setting. Cannot recommend enough. Well done to the whole management and having such a great team.

I cannot recommend this nursery and all of the team highly enough!
From the initial meeting I knew that it was the nursery I wanted my son to go to. The staff are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and caring and the environment is fun, unique and brilliantly designed for the children.
During our settling sessions we had some tears, but the staff were flexible and altered their approach to relax him so that he would enjoy the experience and after that first settling session he was able to stay without me.
Ten months on and he is still thriving and loving being at The Marston; even moving from the baby room to the toddler room was smooth and without stress or tears. He loves the team and all the friends he’s made and is genuinely excited to go to nursery every day.
It gives us such peace of mind to know he’s happy there.
The updates via the app throughout the day give you peace of mind. It’s so nice to know they are settled and cared for.

My son absolutely loves his days with Marston day nursery. He has come on so much since being there. It’s a lovely place, the staff are brilliant. I love the app and pics they share. Definitely would recommend it. One member of staff, in particular, is fantastic. My little one adores her.

Our children are very happy there. The nursery building and facilities themselves are really wonderful, with lots of open-ended and creative activities for the children to enjoy. The staff take care each day to set up interesting and thoughtful play provocations for the children. I haven’t always seen this level of creativity at other settings. The staff are really wonderful and I feel like they genuinely care about my children. The nursery as a whole is really open to working with parents and have always been open to any feedback and concerns I have about my child. We really enjoy the parent app and the information on it. The nursery does a summary post each day with a few photos of what each room has been up to, which I think sets them apart from some other settings. We are really happy with the care and are glad we picked them for our preschool experience. Oh, and the food provided for the children cooked by the on-site chef is brilliant.
