Description
The Mall Nursery is a vibrant, exciting and inspiring environment for young children within a high-quality and purpose built setting which includes a large outdoor space for the children to play and learn in. The new day nursery in Twickenham will also use The Mall School’s extensive facilities including a weekly swim in the indoor heated swimming pool and performances in the 160 seat theatre.
The Mall Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year, taking boys and girls from 6 months to school age. Our approach is all about learning through play, following your child’s interests and using natural, authentic resources. Our core opening hours are 7:30am – 6:30pm. We offer an early start from 7:00am and extended pick-up time of 7:00pm by request to meet the needs of busy working parents.

September 1, 2024 at 9:41 pmThey come up with a varied programme of activities each day, encouraging each kid to explore but without any pressure and they are consistently on hand with cuddles too! My son beams when he is dropped off each morning, holding his arms out to the team and looking forward to the day. He is developing self‑assurance and skills every day. The dedicated garden is incredible – and one of the main reasons we chose the childcare centre. Our son started childcare centre in September and has settled in truly well, as a result of the incredible team who care so much about the kids and go out of their way to make sure the kids are content and comfortable.

September 6, 2024 at 9:05 amThe team are absolutely incredible: the most attentive, selfless, expert and welcoming people you could ever imagine. We receive regular updates on the app about our kid’s day, including how much he has eaten and when, his exact nap times etc, as well as weekly posts with plenty of lovely photos. Our son loves his time there and enjoys a wide range of creative activities, such as painting or making sand castles. He has a trusting attachment to his key people and we are completely reassured leaving him there for the day. The childcare centre is so accommodating, allowing for 7 am early starts and 7 pm late finishes if ever needed. We truly couldn’t be happier with it and want to give a huge thanks to all the team! We have been beyond thrilled with The Mall Childcare centre.

September 10, 2024 at 10:40 amThe facilities are incredible with large rooms full of light and the best outdoor space I have seen in any childcare centre in this area.
The best part of the childcare centre is the incredible team. My son started when the childcare centre opened in September and he found settling in a bit difficult but the team were so attentive and cuddled him whenever he was upset. He now loves going to childcare centre and has a beaming smile every morning when he knows we are on our way. He also eats and sleeps much better than at home.
The baby groups are just the right size and the team organise excellent activities for them every day and they also spend lots of time in the fresh air. The swimming classes are also a excellent extra and we look forward to them every week.
On the days when my son is at childcare centre, I know I don’t have to worry as he is getting the best possible care, delicious food and lots of cuddles. I only have positive things to say about The Mall Childcare centre.

So we decided to send my daughter to the Mall Childcare centre. Now, I can say that this was the best decision we made for her. Thanks to all the childcare centre nurses’ adore and care towards her, she got through the settle-in process highly smoothly. She soon has a strong bond with them and sees the childcare centre as her second family. Not only her key teacher but also the rest of the team, consistently welcome her and help her delight in her time in the childcare centre. I highly suggest that this is the best local childcare centre I’ve ever known. Thanks to all the Mall Childcare centre team for everything they have done for my daughter. At first, I was afraid that the Mall Childcare centre was quite new, compared to other local nurseries.

November 7, 2024 at 8:20 amThe childcare centre is equipped with excellent educational toys and the team is consistently coming up with creative and enjoyable sensory playtime.
During settles, the team truly supported us as parents and the babies by getting used to this new setting gradually and with lots of enjoyable activities.
I can already see a huge improvement in my son’s development because of how supportive and encouraging everyone is and because there are so many opportunities given to him to explore and learn.
The outdoor space is incredible, never seen anything alike.
You get daily updates on an app about your kid’s day, which is a truly lovely way to stay connected, so I am consistently looking forward to updates and pictures (the more pictures the better!).
The manager consistently makes sure that everything is to the highest standard and I sense like everyone truly listens to feedback from parents.
Couldn’t suggest it more highly! Our son loves The Mall Childcare centre, whenever we get to the door he gets the biggest smile on his face.

The team are incredible and truly care about the kids and their development. Our son has flourished and runs into childcare centre every day with a huge smile on his face. Could not suggest more We moved our son to The Mall Childcare centre in January 2023 from another childcare centre and it was the best decision we made.

The whole team are so thoughtful and attentive and has established an incredible bond with our daughter. It’s so comforting to know she is in such attentive hands, having a cheerful time and thriving at childcare centre.
We would highly suggest The Mall to all. Our little girl joined The Mall Childcare centre back in September when she was eight months old, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose The Mall.

November 26, 2024 at 5:18 pmWhilst it did take her longer than most, the team throughout were exceptional and so reassuring throughout the whole process.
Our daughter is truly starting to flourish at the childcare centre and it’s so lovely to see all the little friends she’s making. She’s made truly special bonds with several of the team who have all been a massive assistance to her.
Her meals are better than she has at home and they’ve even managed to get her into a nap routine!
The facilities are exceptional, including the incredible outdoor area and the option of swimming lessons included.
We would thoroughly suggest this childcare centre to anyone. We were truly concerned about our daughter starting childcare centre, as we knew from previous journey that it would likely take her a while to settle in.

The rooms are spacious with fascinating toys and equipment to keep the little ones engaged, the food quality is top-notch, the team are welcoming and skilled, and the outdoor space is spectacular. Given the connection with the prestigious Mall School, the childcare centre kids also use some school facilities, including the swimming pool.
The childcare centre manager is highly approachable and consistently willing to listen and help. The school headmaster is actively engaged with the childcare centre to ensure the childcare centre maintains the same ethos and values as The Mall school.
My son is discovering so much through playtime and enjoyable. He will be joining The Mall school in September 2023, and being at the childcare centre has made the transition to school much smoother.
I would strongly suggest The Mall Childcare centre to all parents. I have lived in the Richmond borough for the last eight years and can confidently say that The Mall Childcare centre is the best.

My daughter has absolutely thrived there and settled so quickly. I think the garden and house setting have a highly homely sense, that puts the kids at ease. I’m so glad they opened. My daughter has been at The Mall Childcare centre since it opened in September 2022.

February 12, 2025 at 10:29 amHe runs in there with a massive smile on his face and is so calm and cheerful at the end of the day. He is provided with a range of activities to do, including trips out, arts and crafts, and messy playtime. All of these are geared towards discovering, and we have noticed a real improvement in his range of words and understanding. The team are truly attentive and consistently provide a lot of detail on how he has been all day, as well as regular updates through the app that you can check from work and home. Thoroughly recommended. Ever since our son started at The Mall we have been so impressed with the quality of care provided for him.

He has just been discovering to potty train and the team have been fantastic in supporting him to the point he is now fully trained. The childcare centre setting is so peaceful and the equipment is so well suited to the age range. The outdoor space must be the best in the area and is truly ambitious. Truly adore our childcare centre and our son is so cheerful there. The transition for my kid into the childcare centre was so well managed by the manager and the team.

What makes us most cheerful is seeing him run into the childcare centre and giving the team a big hug.
I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough. My son started at The Mall Childcare centre in November after moving him from another local childcare centre and I can honestly say this was the best decision we made.
