The Hollies Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Chorley

He is so cheerful to attend every morning which is fantastic to see. The team are very attentive and know my kid very well. They do a variety of activities every week and try and focus on my kid’s interests where possible. A form comes home asking about new interests and activities at home so that they are up to date with all this information. Every day when I pick him up, his key worker tells me all that he has been up to, eaten and created. It consistently sounds like lots of enjoyable. My kid has a food allergy which is consistently catered for. If team are unsure about something, they will contact me to ask, which I think is fantastic. I would thoroughly suggest the childcare centre to anyone. My kid has attended this childcare centre for a number of years and absolutely loves it.

My daughter absolutely loves it here, she will not want to go next year. Can not suggest enough! The team are fabulous. The team who now runs the Chorley on is a real credit, but everyone at the Chorley Hollies are so compassionate supportive and attentive. Remarkable pre-school.

I was really nervous when he first joined, as my son is my first kid and I’ve never left him so long before. Now he can’t wait to get there as he has so much enjoyable and I am confident that he’s being well looked after. The childcare centre doesn’t hesitate to get in touch if they need to and you can ring at any time to put your mind at rest. Would highly suggest the childcare centre to anyone considering. My son loves this childcare centre and as a parent, I couldn’t be happier with the development he had made and the effort the team goes to, to make sure he’s developing well and ultimately having a excellent time.

They both formed very positive bonds with their key workers and all of the team at the childcare centre. All team were consistently very welcoming and are consistently available to talk to. The Hollies has a very homely sense to it and I consistently felt reassured when leaving them in the care of others. Both my kids attended The Hollies from being the age of 8 months old, they both settled in really well and throughout each room, they were consistently well cared for and their needs were consistently met.

We chose the childcare centre for its large bright rooms and excellent outdoor space. The playground has now been renovated, and our son tells us it’s excellent. The large field at the side they go on is also a excellent benefit in our eyes. We have seen some team changes in our time, but our son has consistently loved going, and they consistently seem to have had high standards with recruitment. The current manager and her team are fantastic and have been excellent throughout the challenges of the last year. They are preparing him for school very well, and I have no concerns at all that he won’t be ready. The Hollies also have its own cook also a benefit as everything is cooked fresh on site. Thanks to all the team team. Our son has been at The Hollies since he was 9-months-old and he’s now four and a half and preparing for school.

The team are lovely and welcoming, my boy loves the team and consistently comes home talking about them full of joy! The facilities are remarkable and vast. It’s just a joy for my little boy to come out of childcare centre talking happily about what he did that day. Highly suggest The Hollies. My little boy goes to this childcare centre and honestly, I cannot say a bad word about it.

It took her a few weeks to get used to going, but the team at The Hollies have really helped to make sure that she settled as fast as she could. She’s not yet old enough to tell us stories about what she has done throughout her day, but it’s lovely to see her walk into the childcare centre when we drop her off with a big smile on her face, waving us goodbye. The only thing I would adore to see more of is possibly photo updates throughout the day via WhatsApp as I know other friends’ kid’s nurseries provide, but I understand that there is a discovering book that can be accessed. Our daughter started childcare centre in August this year, she only goes once a week, but despite this, she has settled in really well.

My 10-month-old gets really excited about the days that she’s in and has progressed already so much since she started 3 months ago.
The only drawback I would say is staffing which has been acknowledged.
With regard to my daughter’s growth and development, the team are proactive in working with us to find out routines, likes and dislikes and applying them to her time at the childcare centre which makes home life easier too.
Have already recommended to friends! The team are welcoming and accommodating.

Her self‑assurance has come on in leaps and bounds which is every credit to the team who care for her, all of them are lovely. They have handled the Covid situation so well in ensuring our kids are well cared for and secure. They do so much to keep things ‘normal’ in these strange times. The food is perfectly balanced – healthy and nutritious, with the odd treat and they encourage outdoor playtime, whenever possible. I don’t have any negative comments to add and I’ll be sad when she leaves for school. It would be lovely to see some more pictures on the parents’ app as it’s so nice to see how much my daughter enjoys her time there. I’m so cheerful we found The Hollies for my daughter – she started around 18 months ago in preschool and has thrived there.

I have full trust in this childcare centre and they haven’t yet disappointed. My kid has developed rapidly since starting at The Hollies, as well as he consistently seems to have a smile on his face every day, he’s tired when he comes home so you know full well his day has been jam-packed with activities and that he’s constantly discovering. Fast response to let us in, no waiting around especially in the morning when you have work for 8 am. Really welcoming team as well and the manager is really welcoming and gets stuck in when needs must. Overall very, very cheerful about this childcare centre and would suggest it to anyone. We moved from a different day childcare centre which was appalling to be quite honest and as a parent who was worried every day about the protection of their kid inside a childcare centre and then to come to The Hollies and all of those worries went.
