The Country Mouse Nursery

My son has really enjoyed going to The Country Mouse. He has progressed well in the short period he’s been there. There are lots to keep him busy and he loves playing with water and mud. The girls have made me feel at ease dropping him off as he is not always happy going first thing. Lovely little nursery and the girls have done a great job.

We as a family really like this nursery.
Our child seems confident, nurtured and is enjoying endless freedom to learn.
We especially like the outside access at the nursery and how our child has so far joined others for walks locally. Places that are comfortably familiar to our child including the library, shops and open spaces.
I am inspired by the creative teaching ideas and tools fascinating our child daily. The facilities I have seen here are brilliant. The staff are most helpful in discussing our childs growing needs. This is helping us as parents to be actively involved in supporting our childs developing learning journey.
Our experience of communication at this nursery setting has been prompt, open, clear and accessible with regular newsletters, media updates which have all been relevant and informative.
We feel very grateful that our child is experiencing a refreshingly different nursery setting.

I could not be happier with The Country Mouse, Midhurst; an excellent nursery! I love the creative approach and free play to support children’s learning and development. The nursery itself is spacious and light and the outdoor area is very well equipped too – a great space all the children seem to enjoy; bugs, mud, climbing and lots of laughing! My five-year-old thrived during his time here and left full of confidence and well prepared for his next stages. My two year old now attends and simply loves every day. He normally goes in with ease but on the occasions where there is a wobble, the team are wonderfully supportive and compassionate. I know my son is smiling moments later and they reassure me with a call if needed. The whole team are caring, friendly and always helpful. My sons have always been happy at nursery and return home with stories of fun experiences and some ‘wonderful’ crafts! A great nursery setting and team; everything a parent and child could want!

I love our nursery! The team at The Country Mouse Nursery are so friendly, professional and fun. Our 1-year-old son settled in so quickly, and the manager and the team were so supportive. I love how much he has developed since joining the nursery.

Excellent nursery, my little girl loves it. They learn, have fun, eat well and the nursery is clean and tidy with excellent separation of age groups. The outdoor area and forest school give the kids plenty of fresh air. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The Country Mouse Nursery is the best nursery in the area. The team supports the children in reaching their full potential at their own pace and offers a home from home environment where they feel secure, loved and stimulated. My daughter started attending the baby room after months of isolation and so at first she could not bear to see me leave. They were extremely patient and caring with her and now she loves going there. They are always planning new activities or getting new equipment. She regularly goes into the amazing garden and loves their locally grown food. I am astonished by how much her social skills have evolved despite being deprived from attending toddler groups or seeing family. The team is also an invaluable source of support for the whole family. We are now going through a hard time and the team has gone above and beyond to help us in every way. As the proverb says “it takes a village to raise a child.” I feel very blessed this nursery is part of our little village.

Our daughter has only recently started the nursery but is having a great time. She is very happy going in and is always full of beans when we come to collect her in the evening. She really likes the outdoor play!

We moved back to the UK from New Zealand and needed to find a good childcare option for our almost 3-year-old. The Country Mouse has been great. He loves going in and playing with the others, particularly loving the outside areas. We appreciate the varied programme of activities, tasty, healthy food and frequent outings which help to keep the little ones occupied. Our son has learned a lot in the three months we’ve been attending. He helps put away both toys and dishes and is working on toilet training with help from the staff, who are always excellent communicators and always very helpful.

My granddaughter started at the Country Mouse recently, we are delighted at how well she has settled in. The staff have been professional, kind and give a lovely handover at the end of the day. Overall, we are really happy with the nursery.

Since my son started at the nursery earlier this year, I have nothing but positive comments to express. His confidence has blossomed, and I just know he’s had the best day every time I pick him up. Each staff member is so attentive, caring and so lovely. We no longer have tears when we get to nursery, but big smiles and giggles! I’m so so happy we chose yourselves.
