The Cornerhouse Nursery

Can’t recommend this nursery enough! Our child has been in the The Cornerhouse Nursery for over two years and we can see how well is he growing, developing and learning new things every day. We get very regular feedback on his development from the key worker. Nursery is excellent from all the aspects. My child was a very picky eater, however thanks to nursery staff that promotes ‘healthy eating’ he started eating a big variety of fruits, vegetables and various meals. They also made the potty training process very easy for us.
Our child loves going to The Cornerhouse Nursery and I would highly recommend it to any parents looking for the warm and friendly atmosphere surrounding their child while they are in the nursery.

I’m so happy with The Cornerhouse – they are a home away from home for our son! The premises is a converted Victorian house that includes a conservatory that is bright and cheerful on sunny days. Their staff are uniformly lovely – they focus on supporting development, but in a positive, nurturing way that is evident in how happy our son is going in each day. He is so comfortable and clearly bonded with his key worker and others that when I drop him off, he often walks in as if he owns the place – which sets my mind at rest knowing he’s so happy there! Communication with parents is excellent, and in our case, they have been really proactive in engaging with us on how to help our son reach developmental milestones. They have also been great at managing his food allergies, meaning I know he is safe, but still getting a well-balanced diet. I’ve already recommended Corner House to two families who live on my street and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it again.

My son absolutely loves The Cornerhouse Nursery. Every morning he is always welcomed with a smile. He feels very happy and the children at this nursery are certainly cared for. The Cornerhouse Nursery has also helped my little one develop his confidence and much more. Absolutely friendly staff who put the children’s needs first. Thank you.

The nursery has provided excellent care and support for our son since he started last year. The whole team are friendly and approachable and helped him to settle in immediately and put our minds at rest. I felt he was in safe hands from day one.

He loves attending and skips in when he sees his staff members. We get excellent feedback on an app during the day, which gives live updates and photos of his daily activities which we can comment on and interact with. It’s really helpful in advance to know what he’s eaten, how he has slept and his general activities before we pick him up.

The small intimate family feel of the nursery is what attracted us to it. He gets a range of activities each day and always comes home proud of the things he has made. His development has progressed hugely since he started, and that is a credit to all the nursery team.

My little girl has attended the nursery since she was 9-months-old. She loves nursery, and every morning she can’t wait to go in! All of the staff members are very welcoming, warm and caring towards the children and parents. They keep us up to date while they are with them via the app and upload lovely pictures and keep us up to date with their development. By far the best nursery I could recommend!

My little one has attended The Cornerhouse Nursery for three years, she has developed and grown in this happy environment. What I really appreciate is the sheer care and attention the children get from the staff who are always happy and smiley people. My own child has had food allergies which have been managed really well by the team and at all times they ensure she is not left out. Do not be deceived by what may seem a small space, its a tardis out the back and the way the staff cleverly plan the activities so the children move throughout the building is a nice touch. Each day the children get to play outdoors on things like a climbing frame, balance bar or trikes, or maybe plant seeds and build houses with big bricks then back indoors for more structured activities based on planned themes. The app is a nice way to see what your child is getting up to during the day, such as their meals as well as how they are developing and growing according the the curriculum.

The nursery take the time to get to know your child and I always felt it was a home from home for him. They are attentive and caring and take his needs for the day into consideration when needing to step out of a normal routine. The app is constantly updated which is great to feel like I’m with him, even when I can’t be.

We have two children at the nursery. The owner and his team are attentive and caring and as a result, our children are happy to go. The nursery is safe and secure and due to its size, there is a real feel that the children are well looked after. The parents’ app is fantastic and the staff keep it updated regularly with welfare information and photos/information of what fun activities our children have done, during the day. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Cornerhouse Nursery.

The Cornerhouse Nursery is a welcoming, nurturing environment that feels like a home rather than a nursery. All of the rooms are safe, secure and well provisioned. As a parent easing back into working life, I get to share in my son’s activities via regular updates in an app. The food is nutritious and varied and I can always see what he has been offered and eaten throughout the day, again via the app. My son particularly enjoys having daily access to enjoy the outdoor play areas. The staff at Cornerhouse are friendly and genuinely care about the welfare and development of the children. My son has formed strong bonds with all staff, not just his key worker or room staff. All of the staff have taken the time to introduce themselves and I know them all by name. It is a pleasure to watch my son’s development encouraged by the whole team at Cornerhouse. They are laying a strong foundation for his progression to school. I would highly recommend Cornerhouse.

We have two children who have attended Cornerhouse nursery since before they were one over the last three years. We have had nothing but positive interactions with staff who are always friendly and helpful. Our children are very happy at nursery and enjoy the variety of social and educational experiences on offer. Especially some of the messy play which I am glad is not in our house! We like that Cornerhouse is a relatively small nursery with dedicated staff who all know our children well. There are plenty of different educational spaces (both indoors and outdoors) which the children enjoy. They also enjoy occasional trips going to the local park or to see the ducks with the staff. We enjoy the regular updates through the phone app to see what they have been up to and stimulate conversation about their day in the evening. Thank you for everything you do looking after our boys.
