October 11, 2024 at 5:55 amI needn’t have worried, the preparation and activities provided meant starting school was lovely and straightforward. The childcare centre has a nurturing ethos and helps develop social skills (sharing, making great decisions etc) as well as setting kids up with what they need educationally for school, discovering indoors and outdoors. I also appreciated how supportive the childcare centre was with my kid’s speech and language needs. I was a bit nervous my kid would be overwhelmed by the size of Cobbs but, because of our proximity to the school, wanted to ease them into it via the childcare centre.

December 16, 2024 at 12:53 amIt has been an outstanding part of their development, teaching them valuable skills for their school careers and helping them to make new friends. The fact that the childcare centre is a part of the school has meant that my kids were already comfortable with the school setting and transitioned into their reception year happily.
The teaching team are all super skilled and welcoming, and the kids have a wide variety of activities and equipment available to them. Both the classrooms and the outside spaces for discovering are outstanding.
An additional bonus is that the kids have been able to access breakfast, after school and holiday clubs from the start (even at 2 years old) meaning that even in school holidays continuous provision is available.
After a excellent journey with my first kid at Cobbs Nursery, we didn’t hesitate to use the facility again for our next kid and would suggest to anyone. My kids have loved the childcare centre setting at Cobbs and attended from being 2 years old.

January 19, 2025 at 3:00 amremarkable team who seem to have so much enjoyable with the kids. Really fantastic opportunities for discovering through playtime. Would highly suggest. Great outdoor and indoor facilities with lovely toys and all really spotless.

February 27, 2025 at 3:14 pmWe like the fact that it is attached to a school so the kids have enjoyable and are discovering at the same time and then able to transition easily into the main school as they already sense part of the wider setting, so there was no upset etc. about starting school as they felt that they were part of it already.
The childcare centre also employed qualified educators as well as TAs which means that I had self‑assurance in the educational outcomes of the playtime-based activities, not all nurseries do this. And I adore the outdoor spaces and the different classrooms, there is consistently something different each day for the kids to do.
I will be very sad when I no longer have a kid in The Cobbs Nursery! All of my kids have been to this childcare centre and they have all absolutely loved it.

May 27, 2025 at 7:13 pmIt is part of, and next door to a school so has a strong educational focus which was what we wanted. We have found the team to be compassionate and attentive and very great at keeping us informed. We even have parent’s evenings and receive school reports which is lovely. The equipment the kids have access to is wide ranging and they can also use school facilities so they visit the computer room weekly, can use the school hall for dance and visit the wild garden which is like a forest school area. We managed to get places for both of our kids mid-term in the setting for three year old’s and also the two-year-old’s. As we both work full time, we also access the full wrap-around care for some of the week so we can drop off before 8 am and collect at 6 pm. We are very cheerful with our choice and highly suggest The Cobbs. We were delighted to find this gem of a childcare centre.

May 31, 2025 at 6:47 amThe team are enthusiastic, attentive and really lovely. They were excellent at keeping us informed on what our kid had been up to and how she was progressing. The nursury operates during school hours but there is an outstanding before and after-school club onsite for childcare centre kids. The childcare centre has a remarkable outdoor space and kids can access the ‘wild garden’ of the school next door. Because the childcare centre is attached and run by Cobbs School, the kids are very well equipped for starting school and my daughter had a very positive and easy transition from childcare centre to school. She had been able to visit her reception class and get to know her teacher ahead of time and was familiar with the school. She was ready and full of self‑assurance when it came to starting reception! The Cobbs Nursery is a fantastic setting for little ones.
