They take care to make sure the care provided is both structured and personalised, welcoming but with clear expectations. It almost feels like an extended family and both my kids adore going to The Butterfly Patch Croydon – Shirley, something which I was so worried about before returning to work and needing to find somewhere for them. My eldest is now four and a half and I have been a parent at this childcare centre for nearly 4 years, throughout that time it has grown and evolved (there were only two in the baby room when we started!) and yet it has not lost it’s intimate, welcoming and individualised care sense for which the management team couldn’t be given enough praise for. This is the gold standard in terms of nurseries.

I met some of the team who came across as very well‑informed and seemed to genuinely care about the kids in their care. The facilities are fine and one thing I mentioned to Seema was that I was getting a “cosy, family vibe” from the childcare centre and she agreed with me. My kid is three years old and has never been to childcare centre so I had a lot of questions which were answered in great detail, I was also put at ease regarding the settling-in period and how this is managed. This is definitely somewhere I would consider leaving my kid and would sense satisfied knowing my kid is well looked after. Thanks again! I stopped by on my way home and was shown around by Seema (who is an absolute delight!).

As a family, we have incredible relationships with her key worker and management alike. Last year we made the transition from the South Norwood Branch to the Croydon branch (due to moving home) and I cannot fault the management at both branches for their hard work in making my daughter sense settled and putting me at ease. My daughter enjoys every day at childcare centre, coming home cheerful and eager to share her discovering. All of the team (one as a favourite) are so compassionate, welcoming and nurturing, at a excellent home from home setting. I honestly cannot suggest this childcare centre enough. My daughter has been attending the butterfly patch since 2019 and I can say the last three years have been nothing but fantastic.

We relocated from the US to the UK and I was in contact with the childcare centre manager even before we landed in the UK. She was incredible. My kid has some special needs and she was consistently so compassionate and accommodating. She pointed me to the right resources that could help my son when he joined the childcare centre. Once my son joined, the team at the childcare centre were so involved and hands-on to make sure he settled in properly. They have plenty of activities planned throughout the day. What makes them stand out is their focus on the overall development of a kid. They work on fine motor skills, social skills and life lessons and teach them to be independent and confident individuals. They provide delicious nutritious meals at the childcare centre. Overall a excellent place, my son’s thriving here. I would highly suggest The Butterfly Patch Croydon – Shirley.

I have seen a huge improvement in his development and he’s learned many new skills. What a fantastic childcare centre with attentive and welcoming team, it’s consistently a pleasure to speak with them when collecting/dropping our son. Our son absolutely loves going to childcare centre, he seems to have such a fantastic time with all the daily activities he gets to take part in.

My daughter absolutely loves it there, and my son started there a couple of months too. He is a bit slow with his development but this didn’t stop the team to look after him like they do with any other kid and offered him a lot of assistance and attention and we can definitely see improvement with him. I highly suggest this childcare centre because all the team here and the manager are very compassionate, lovely and experienced.

Greatly improved since my kid first began. Staff are welcoming and consistently keep me updated. I would like to see more frequent reviews on kid development though but overall I am cheerful with the childcare centre. I adore the childcare centre’s updates and efficiency.

She started when she was just over a year old. The manager and her team did a exceptional job settling her in and have continued to do a exceptional job ever since.
I don’t worry about leaving her and she comes home cheerful every day. Couldn’t ask for more!

My eldest kid absolutely loved it at The Butterfly Patch Croydon – Shirley so we decided to send our youngest daughter, who currently still attends. She has progressed massively with her numbers and letters and is even telling me about the phonics she is discovering! I sense at ease knowing she is cheerful there and she looks forward to going every week. The team consistently keep us informed with what she’s been up to and are consistently really accommodating. Wonderful childcare centre.

Both of them settled in really well and look forward to going to childcare centre everyday. All members of team are extremely welcoming and consistently willing to help. Both the girls get on really well with all team, including their key workers. Communication with parents is on point, via the family app and email. The childcare centre is also very well facilitated for all the kids, consistently new things being added. Would definitely suggest. My eldest has been attending since July 2019 and my youngest since October 2020.
