Sunhill Day Nursery Peckham

Since Sunhill has taken over it has been great to see weekly updates on what they have been discovering. Updates to the parent regarding changes to team still needs improving. My daughter has been at Sunhill since it was taken over, she loves childcare centre and all the key workers.

They have consistently kept us informed on daily activities, naps, food etc, and it is reassuring that they keep clear notes on each kid’s behaviour, developments and development.
It’s nice knowing that they also take trips out to the park, as well as have a huge range of toys/playtime/activities inside too.
I truly like the flexibility of being able to choose school hours too, and have consistently had a clear and quick updates with assistance services as well as the childcare centre management too.
Our little one runs happily into the childcare centre, nothing more positive than that! A enjoyable, welcoming and highly welcoming childcare centre, even in current times!

I often explained my concern about my son’s meals, but I had no response. My son is cheerful with the carers and I am satisfied with his discovering, honestly. I was upset once I had to pay ten pounds for ten minutes late, even if I collect my son consistently later than the drop-off time. I lost lots of money every month as there was a misunderstanding at the time of signing the contract. Unclear in regards to payment.

Our son settled in quickly and runs in happily in the mornings. Although they don’t have outdoor space, they take the kids out for long trips outside – arguably giving them more room to run around than in a small garden area.
We are consistently kept well informed of daily activities, and the team are well‑informed of the EY curriculum and how to best assistance kids in their development.
One teeny tiny improvement would be if the app was updated slightly more regularly. It would be excellent to be able to see on the app how much sleep they have at the end of each day, and I adore seeing the photos of the lovely activities. However, the team will consistently tell you all the information at home time; I just have a memory like a sieve.
Overall, we are so cheerful with the flexibility of having a term-time only place, and the lovely team make it such a positive journey. The team are consistently welcoming and easy to talk to.

The team are so welcoming and inviting and made the transition to starting childcare centre highly easy. Our son talks about them with affection. The space is light and airy and consistently feels spotless – it feels like a great size for the amount of kids. The only negative is that there is no garden but the team compensate for this by taking the kids out every day – often to the park for picnics and games. In general there are lots of activities such as painting and water playtime and we’ve been highly pleased with our sons development and development – particularly language. The food is healthy and varied. In general I highly suggest this childcare centre. We have been highly cheerful with Sunhill Early Discovering.

They also do not take the afternoon kids in the baby room outside for fresh air, one of the team members told me this herself and I was exceptionally displeased. When I would ask what my daughter had eaten, I was told that they don’t give the babies food but snacks in the afternoon but when speaking to another team member, I was told the opposite. Updates is terrible at this childcare centre and needs to be worked on. The team need better updates within the team, once you tell a team member important information about your kid and request for this to be passed on it never is.

What makes it special is the team who have years of journey and genuine joy and adore to help nurture and educate the kids. The space inside is small, but the team consistently try to get outside to different areas – which I think is more valuable in discovering about road safety and exploring nature than having private outdoor space.
The team have moved to update via a parent app, and we adore seeing the updates on what the kids are getting up to – would adore to see more!
Admin and updates to parents have been pretty great – we were immediately welcomed when our childminder had to quit quite suddenly due to the impact of Covid, and Sunhill were highly accomodating and reassuring in settling my daughter in.
The curriculum and way of discovering are varied, and I particularly like that they take into account the different cultures and hobbies of the kids to ensure things are interesting and enjoyable. My daughter has loved being at Sunhill.

I’m confident my kid will be ready for school because of the incredible assistance and guidance received by the Sunhill team. The weekly updates and daily updates are excellent, plus I sense supported in my kid’s development both in pre-school and at home.

My kid is now 15 months old, and he learned a lot of skills from the childcare centre since he started. The team are lovely and treat the babies like their own. We are highly cheerful we found this childcare centre; it’s a “home away from home” for our kid. Highly grateful to all the team for looking after our kid. You are all fantastic; you should all be proud of what you do for the kids. Highly homely atmosphere for kids.
