December 17, 2024 at 11:24 amThey are energetic, enthusiastic and highly welcoming. They all work exceptionally hard. My 3 year old son has been attending Summerlea since he was 1 and loves it. My daughter also attended Summerlea for 4 years. The kids have lots of outside playtime and go walks to the local park. They participate in lots of arts and crafts and imaginary playtime. They often visit the care home round the corner which my son loves. The development folders are fab and I’ve received lots of incredible photos over the years.
My only negative comment is that the team are not paid enough. They have a huge amount of responsibility and this should be recognised by giving team a decent wage. The daily fee has gone up by £2 a day – I wouldn’t mind paying this if team were getting a decent pay rise. All the team at the childcare centre are remarkable.

My son has been in Summerlea since he was 18 months and has grown fond of all the team.
I have excellent self‑assurance in the team who genuinely care and know my son.
I adore receiving updates on his progression, and the folders are a excellent way of presenting everything he has done while in the childcare centre.
The kids spend a lot of time outside in the garden when the weather is nice, and the choice of meals is outstanding (especially when my son is fussy).
Overall, my son loves going to childcare centre, and I know he’ll be sad to leave next year. Cannot suggest enough!

May 24, 2025 at 10:30 pmI have consistently found the team to be inviting, attentive and enjoyable. They have excellent ideas to help the kids learn via playtime. They try to get them outside at all opportunities. My kids are cheerful to go in each morning, and I sense reassured that they are well looked after. Parents are often invited to join in with childcare centre activities and kept informed via the online service and newsletters. Both my sons have attended Summerlea since ten months of age.
