I was recommended the childcare centre and since have friends kids joining after I have recommended. Fabulous childcare centre! The childcare centre is spotless, lovely team, and most importantly, my daughter loves it.

September 27, 2024 at 5:27 pmThe team are experienced, compassionate and creative. They have a talented in-house chef who has managed our daughter’s allergies expertly.
It’s well-managed, and we’ve never had an issue in the two years we’ve used the service. Our youngest went from six months and has been cared for so incredibly well that it made us less worried about the early start. Thank you! We have two kids at Starchild, and it’s genuinely the best childcare centre care we’ve experienced to date, having moved with work before.

September 28, 2024 at 1:21 amThe team go above and beyond and genuinely care about every single kid; their updates is exceptional, and each and everyone is absolutely lovely. I adore to see what my son gets up to every day, from when he has a nappy change to what he eats! He has come on leaps and bounds in just a few months – the difference in his eating and personality is like night and days. He’s a much happier kid now at home and eats brilliantly.
I cannot suggest Starchild enough. It’s small enough that you get a truly personal journey but big enough to be completely expert. I have had journey with a few nurseries and can say that without doubt, Starchild is the best childcare centre I have come across.

December 3, 2024 at 3:09 pmI was originally planning on moving my little one to the local preschool at age 2, but now I don’t want her to leave. The team are excellent, consistently willing to go the extra mile and make my kid sense welcome.
They use an app that works so well for keeping updated about what your kid is up to and how they are developing. This is one of my favourite aspects.
My other favourite part is the fact that they have so many days out with kids come rain or shine.
Highly recommended! I have used the childcare centre since my kid was 5-months-old and she is coming up to 2.

December 31, 2024 at 10:12 pmI was so nervous to send my kid to a setting due to him being quite a clingy kid, however, the adore and passion the girls have been so reassuring, my kid has gained so much self‑assurance with new people within 8+ days. I am kept up to date with how his day is going, which is refreshing and has definitely eased my anxiety with him. There is consistently lots for him to do, and he is eating meals we would never have thought to try with him. I’m so cheerful I chose this childcare centre. I am blown away by this childcare centre.

January 23, 2025 at 3:14 pmThere is such a varied range of activities – arts and crafts and sensory are his highlight along with singing and dancing and walks in the park. He is 22 months, recites childcare centre rhymes, and loves to count. The team have helped him with his development. He also has his afternoon nap truly well. He is settled, and we can see him thrive there. He is consistently excited to go in on a morning! Our little boy absolutely loves spending time at Starchild childcare centre.

All of the team seem to genuinely care about our kid, and we look forward to seeing the observations/photographs from our kid’s day. We are truly pleased that we chose Starchild; we couldn’t be happier about our kid’s development since joining.

I have no issues or hesitations in recommending the childcare centre to everyone. They are consistently willing to accommodate where possible. The girls truly delight in the facilities and the weekly trips out. Both my daughters adore going to this childcare centre.

They keep us up to date via the app, so we can see what our little one is up to, including pictures and what they’ve eaten (which I’m consistently jealous of!).
They have a excellent selection of food and activities. They go for walks, and our little one consistently comes back with new words and skills!

February 21, 2025 at 12:06 amAfter visiting a few different settings before deciding on which childcare centre to send our little boy too, Starchild was the one where we felt the most welcome and at ease, and we both picked up on the lovely, welcoming atmosphere.
All of the team are lovely and welcoming in the morning, which is excellent if you have a kid that is a little unsure. However, after a few sessions, this soon changed, and now he loves going in the morning. The app is excellent for keeping up to date throughout the day; I adore seeing all the different things he eats, as well as all the different activities he does; the photos are lovely to see.
I am truly cheerful we decided on this childcare centre, I know that when I am at work, my little boy is in a attentive and enjoyable setting, and I don’t have to worry. This is all down to the lovely team at Starchild, so thank you all. Starchild is a lovely childcare centre, and we wouldn’t think twice about recommending it to others.

February 21, 2025 at 11:54 pmMy daughter settled in so well and genuinely enjoys going. She knows her key worker by name, and the effort put into the development of that relationship was just remarkable. We receive two observations a week as well as lots of pictures of all the enjoyable activities she gets up to. Easy to follow the next steps for us to help encourage too.
After moving to a totally new area with some uncertainty, Starchild has truly helped our daughter settle well with the added benefit of being able to interact and playtime with other kids in such a remarkable setting.
Also in this pandemic, they have adhered highly closely to all guidelines and still ensuring a nurturing and enjoyable setting for the kids who attend. Lovely setting, outstanding team and excellent updates.

February 24, 2025 at 9:40 amI have journey of three other nurseries in the area and sense confident that this is the best we have used.
The team are experienced, enthusiastic and attentive. Our daughter is super cheerful there.
The childcare centre was new when we joined so it’s well maintained and they have excellent equipment and a lot of activities for the kids. They use the local area truly well to explore and can often be found having a picnic in local gardens on a hot day.
They have supported with all elements of our kid’s development, toilet training, feeding, giving up dummy, nap times, being able to recognise her own name etc. We have been at Starchild in Malton since they opened in 2019.

We adore the app they use to update us on his day and keep track of his development. Highly suggest. Cannot suggest Starchild Childcare centre enough.

March 20, 2025 at 9:29 pmWe were tempted to move our daughter closer to home, but she (at the age of only two) shouts ‘wahoo childcare centre’ as we get closer and tells all our family about how she’s spent the day playing with her key worker. Our daughter loves it. Everything about the childcare centre is exceptional. We travel 30 minutes to get to this childcare centre.

The team are all highly welcoming, approachable, and most importantly, our son truly likes spending time with all the team at Starchild.
We would definitely suggest to other parents. The childcare centre is well organised and is efficient with their updates with parents.

April 28, 2025 at 6:23 pmThe team are highly approachable and deal with any concerns or queries quickly, and with no judgment. My little boy loves going to childcare centre and jumps into their arms. They have a exceptional activities plan with innovative and development tasks for little ones. No one day is the same. Despite not having any current specific outdoor area, they go for walks and explore the locality, which is outstanding.
The reporting and key worker updates are remarkable as you are able to see what your little one has been doing during the day.
My little one’s self‑assurance has grown immensely, and I cannot thank Starchild enough. I was highly apprehensive about my firstborn going to childcare centre, however, Starchild blew all apprehensive out of the water!

I especially delight in logging onto the app and being able to see all the activities my kid has been doing throughout the day with her friends. My kid also enjoys meals and snacks – a great variety. Excellent team who clearly care about their role.

May 28, 2025 at 7:41 amThe owner/manager did his utmost to ensure that I had childcare to enable me to work at such an uncertain time.
My son loves going there, and after some tears initially, as he was adjusting to his setting, the team has ensured he has settled easily.
The food menu he loves and the regular updates online with his daily activities is excellent.
Would definitely suggest. I can’t fault this childcare centre, my son has settled in so well, and he started at the beginning of covid.

July 7, 2025 at 12:26 pmThey’re there to help you with any queries or problems you may have (for eg starting to potty train) they’ll work alongside you, and they’re so remarkable.
My daughter loves coming here, it’s a shame that she’s attending primary school (hopefully!) in September… she enjoys every element of the childcare centre, from storytime to going out on the big red bus!
Don’t look anywhere else for private daycare because Starchild is the place to go! There aren’t enough words to describe Starchild and the team – my daughter attends this childcare centre, and she has grown so much during her time there!
The team are consistently so supportive, understanding and lovely.
