Springfield Infant School and Nursery

Our daughter has thrived and developed so much since she has attended. Their updates on general school news and individual reports on our kid, are regular and highly detailed. The childcare centre is remarkable.

They work hard to encourage independence, and they prepare kids truly well for the transition to Reception. The childcare centre is well-equipped, and I was truly cheerful with how my son progressed there. Springfield is an outstanding childcare centre setting with attentive and expert team.

Highly suggest it to anyone thinking of sending their little ones to the school. They keep to the school’s routine and take part in activities with the reception kids so the childcare centre is fully involved with the school journey. Has the added bonus of being able to teach phonics as it is part of the school (most nurseries are discouraged from teaching highly basic phonics as different schools teach phonics differently so it can be confusing). Updates is excellent! They use an app, which is updated daily, and there are parent’s evenings as well as usual opportunities at drop off and pick up. My son is in reception now, and the transition was seamless, and he already had so many friends. The educators already knew him too, which was an added bonus. Sending my son here was the best decision we could have made for him, especially as he is one of the youngest in his class. Excellent little childcare centre that gave my August-born son the head start and extra self‑assurance he needed to start school!

We have the best educators. My daughter’s discovering different activities each day. She loves numbers and letters. She’s discovering how to spell her name. Also, the photonics alphabet is so useful. I am cheerful with Springfield childcare centre.

My son had consistently been well looked after, and I knew I could rely on the people who work there. My son enjoyed every day at ducklings; he made great friends and learnt a lot. The fact the childcare centre is part of the school is also truly important. I would recomend that childcare centre to everyone. Huge thank you to the childcare centre team for making that place such a great place for kids. I think choosing Springfield Childcare centre as a childcare centre for our son was the best decision.

The preschooler’s mix with the reception kids at certain points in the day with different activities. It has a nice outside, shady area. The educators are lovely, with an emphasis on green living, recycling, nature and music/singing. The kids do a yoga lesson once a fortnight. This term, the kids have learned about colour through history, focussing on the colour green of the Statue of Liberty. The childcare centre is great for parents looking for term time only school hours provision. Recommended school uniform but not mandatory. Updates is great at pick up/drop off and a supportive ‘updates diary’ between educators and parents. The app posts once or twice a week for a full-time kid. The reception team was highly supportive, responsive and expert. Springfield Childcare centre is a highly inviting and welcoming setting.

Mixing with the other pupils in the school is a lovely journey for her as her brother is in the school and they see each other at lunch and playtime together, and this will also help with her progression to reception.
The updates with team is excellent, and the photos and information shared on the app are lovely to see her having enjoyable and playing with everyone.
Being term time and school hours means that I can collect both of my kids together, and we get all of the holidays together still. My daughter has been at the childcare centre since January and is still so excited every morning to be going to “school”.

As a parent, it is highly important to be informed of the development of my kid on a regular basis. At Springfield, I get informed by e-mail/phone of all the activities and development.
The benefits are, It is super spotless, loads of activities and plenty of space. These guys care.

One has been in Springfield since reception, now in year two, and the middle kid has been in ducklings class for a year, and I hope my 3rd kid will do amazingly when she starts in September. Both my kids are truly thriving in this school.

He had hated his previous childcare centre. Now he is fine with the new one. The educators are highly great, and he is pretty great at toileting now. Thank you highly much to all the team. My son loves his childcare centre highly much.
