Spring Kinloss Nursery

It is excellent to see photos on a daily/weekly basis of the activities she participates in. Our daughter loves to share with us what she has achieved. It is also lovely when she receives a sticker to commend her when she’s done well in something. We are so cheerful with the way the team care for our daughter and the updates they have with us. Our little girl continues to grow in self‑assurance and amazes us with how much she is discovering academically at childcare centre.

Every step of the way we have been met with patience, understanding, and assistance. Although my daughter has not fully started within the setting yet, the childcare centre manager and room leader have been excellent throughout our journey so far: from helping us with visits and answering emails and calls filled with questions, to supporting us with settling in days and tailoring these to assistance my anxiety and my daughter’s transition.

We initially decided to put him here one morning a week as his social peer skills had suffered due to lockdown, and because we had applied to put him to Spring for his funded place.
Since August and also since attending full time with his funded hours, my son has come on loads. He is much better at interacting with his peers and cheerful to be around them.
Spring has been excellent at supporting him through his toilet training over the last months.
During his time in the 2-3 group, we got regular updates on what he had done that day, toilet training and also what he has eaten.
Although we don’t get as many updates due to being in a larger group, we still get several group and individual updates, including photos every week with what he has been up to.
The app is remarkable for this as well, as a means of easily contacting the team.
The team are also highly welcoming and approachable. My son has been attending spring childcare centre since last August, where he was in a paid place in the 2-3 group.

Both my kids have been/are still at Spring Kinloss, and I couldn’t suggest it more. The team are so genuine, attentive and enjoyable that the kids truly delight in spending time there. The setting is super with loads of space indoors, exceptional resources and access to secure green space outside. The menu is top quality, varied and substantial, and I know the kids are getting balanced and nutritious fare throughout the day (they eat better than I do!) Updates is the real gem here, in that through the app you can see exactly what your little one is up to including sleep, what they’ve eaten and what they are doing throughout the day. I especially adore the individual observations on kids. Team have been so accommodating to changes in work schedules, and I know they are consistently there to assistance us. Throughout Covid, they’ve worked tirelessly to maintain “normality” for the kids too. Exceptional place with exceptional team. Can’t suggest highly enough. What a truly exceptional place to send your kids.

They have truly helped him settle in super well. We had a setback with my son when his daddy was working away, and they pulled out all the stops to help him settle in again. They keep me posted and up to date with his daily activities, which is a fab touch to allow to you sense you are still involved with your kid’s day.

Last year, when she started, she wasn’t walking or talking, now she is running around, and her words are truly coming on excellent, with the assistance from the team at Spring. She used to cling to me at drop off, but now goes running into childcare centre without looking back. Spring has truly helped my daughter come out of her shell.

It was her first/last childcare centre after lockdown and full nurseries elsewhere. After one year my shy daughter has become more sociable and more communicative. She loves going into ‘little school’, having enjoyable and is discovering new topics and experiences. All the team have been absolutely remarkable, and her key worker has top insight into her behaviour on areas to work on such as self‑assurance/emotions. Usually, quiet kids get overlooked in most places. However, team and key workers are observant and supportive, knowing she struggles to ask for help verbally, and instead will use her eyes to catch the attention of team. Could see her being overlooked in other settings but the team have been the best with her. It was fantastic that as a young January born, her key worker gave us the option to give her another year at Spring so she could work on her emotions/self‑assurance more. We would adore another year but she is keen to give big school a try! Thank you team at Spring Kinloss Childcare centre! Daughter has completed one year at Spring Kinloss Childcare centre.

He has improved so much in his speech and self‑assurance. As a military family, moving around and changing schools can be alot of change, but the team at Spring were excellent at helping my son settle. My son loves going to childcare centre.

My grandson is consistently cheerful to go and, with the great updates of the kid’s daily experiences via the online portal, we are able to build on his discovering at home. It helps decipher the four-year-old version of the day! He loves his time at childcare centre and regularly shares his adventures with us. For me, the recent video of youngsters jumping into a muddy puddle whilst at childcare centre sums up the kid-centred approach. Kids being kids and discovering whilst doing so. So lovely to see the freedom to explore and learn. Updates from team is outstanding and we have consistently felt welcome and involved. As an experienced, recently retired teacher I have been highly impressed by many aspects of Spring Kinloss.

Both of my boys attend this childcare centre, and they adore it. They both have additional needs, and they can be a challenge at times, but it’s never been an issue for the childcare centre so far. The only downside I would say is due to staffing and Covid, one of my boys doesn’t get their full funded hours, which is important to us due to him being well behind in his development. But we are more than cheerful with what we have now and hope the hours will go up soon. We adore how welcoming and easy the team are and how understanding they can be.
